Weight: 204.4
Still haven’t consistently pulled my calories down to 2800, but still losing fat anyway at ~3000 average, just slower than I’d like…although it’s nice to have minimal cutting side...
Bro you missed a whole prep lol. Thank you though. Scroll back a few pages; I just competed down in the 220 class. Going to go down one more to make 198 before going back up again.
New weekly low of 217.4lbs this morning after a lean 1,400 cal Friday (4 whey shakes & 2 cans of sardines in hot sauce). I am also looking leaner with more detail for sure; I was seeing veins in...
Yessir; I was worried how the high reps would go on keto since by Friday I’ve used up a lot of my glycogen already. But I started light enough that it wasn’t an issue.
Getting this bigger fridge...
So I spent today cleaning up that mess and got another pile of 10ft logs stacked and delimbed. I'd love to put a small barn with three stalls right where that tree is, but it has a view of the...
I honestly don't think about it a whole lot. I think about it enough to not pound energy drinks before bed, and I think about it in the same way that I think "I need to eat a salad" after three...

Can’t say that I notice any difference. There is one preworkout I can’t do in the evening and that is edge of insanity, other then that seem to be fine.
I guess I don’t really do anything much different year round stays about the same.
Also weird how some of the stuff works, like I can do a preworkout for my evening sessions and go to sleep...
And ghosts! Apparently in @Dustin07 case. [emoji38]
On average my guess is around 600mg.
For me a typical day could be,
PreWO: 150-300mg caffeine
AM coffee (80-100mg)
PM soda (
Similar...
Caffeine absolutely is a PED. It’s well documented - I believe force output was found to continue to increase through 600mg! And the LD50 is something like multiple grams, so even that big acute...
No, but 100mg or whatever doesn’t do what it used to right? Eventually, it only brings you up to “normal”, so you’re just operating at a deficit until it had enough caffeine to get back to normal...
I really appreciate the support, compliments encouragement! I think only other gym rats can understand it when you've really put it all out there.
This morning I woke up feeling like I PRd...
Man that is so awesome, and such a huge accomplishment. Some PRs are just bigger and more important, and that was one of them….age is just a number bro. And I love your narration of that set. I...
Dude way to break that 11 year PR ! It’s so crazy to me how in the days that can seem like the worst can crank out the best training days, just freaking wild.
Have a great dinner with your boy...
Something about getting into your late 30s or 40s that makes you feel incredibly good when you can hit PRs. Something about defying aging while most of the humans in the country are sitting around...
I put a lot of stock in rep PRs. They give you something powerful to drive your training, something that gets you fired up to reach for more. If you are doing things you have never done, you are...
That one has my heart all twisted up in knots still. What a weird thing to be so hung up on, "reps" but I walked in feeling like garbage. Ended up going 5lbs heavier than programmed, and when I...
I'm 99.9% sure that 405 x 6 was a 2015 PR. So that's an 11 year old accomplishment I just beat.
It doesn't mean my 1rm is bigger or that I'm stronger than the guy next to me, but breaking my own...
Deads
5 x 175, 215
3 x 255
5 x 315
3 x 365
7 x 405 (lifetime PR)
Notes
I've had 405 x 6 in my head for 10+ years as a reps PR. Rep 1 was a f'ing 1RM kinda grind. Rep 2 was suddenly easy. All...
I think Layne posted a study that showed that caffiene intake had a direct impact on strength training.
Mark Bell (I know you're not a fan, but...) said something about how you can't take a...
Resets are internet non-sense. That’s not how your receptors work. You can take a very long period off, you add caffeine back, and it feels incredible for about 3 days. Then you begin to...
are we talking about like a ban on caffiene for a while? that sounds horrible 😂 😂
pretty sure they linked caffiene to lower mortality. coffee at least.
its like fried foods, alcohol...
