mouthwash for acne?

i know mouth is very good at killing bacteria......does anyone think if applied on your fae and let sit or a while that it would help acne?

Lots of alcohol. It sure would dry the hell out of your skin.

its like 20% alcohol......put it on last night and this mornign........seems to be helping......a bit drier then normal but i got some moisturizer.....ill report on how it works.....it burns when i put it on so i hope that means something other than the alcohol.

I use Spectro Jel. PH 7 and soft on your skin with vichy exfoliant. Does the trick. I wash it like 6-7 times a day, and no acne. This is way better for your skin.

Does your face smell minty-fresh?

Or, if you prefer to smell like a fresh summer breeze....

yeah dude, alcohol is gonne dry your face out too much, if you're not splashing away ever few hours, your face is gonna get greasier than a meat lover's pizza fast

I tried every trick you could ever imagine in Jr. High, even some really dangerous Meds my dermatologist tried putting me on. The best thing there is has gotta be hands down Neutrogena Oil Free Acne wash. (Little pump dispenser with an amber-colored liquid soap). Read the label, wash your face 3-4x per day.

i had serious acne for years up until a couple weeks ago when i tried the regimen the guy on acne.org advises. wash your face 3 times a day (gently), pat your skin dry (don't rub the towel), wait 15 minutes and put on an assload of salicilic acid. the guy says that research indicates the 2.5% to be just as effective as the 5% with less drying. he sells his own ointment but you can get it cheaper at the drugstore (i use nuetrogena).

it works, ive been using it and its pretty much made mine disapear...

It doesnt tend to dry my skin out, but it is a possibility.

What do you mean?

From acnemagazine.com:

The oil glands will just produce more sebum from the sun exposure, and while it may temporarily dry you out and help to get rid of smaller acne in some places, the excess sebum production will get you in the end!

Get a perscription for Clindagel, its just simple ol' clindamycin. Works great for me.

be careful with those, and never wipe the sweat off your brow with your shirtsleeve. I've ruined many 'o shirts because most topical antibiotics also contain peroxide. Benzaclin and Triaz destroy dark-colored shirts.

my son had horrible pizza face, tried everyting otc and prescription nothing helped much. then my wife read an article by hints by heloise and told him to try liquid dawn dish soap. it didnt clear it up entirely but made a big difference. :duel:

Dawn does work pretty dang well and the nice thing is..it's 10X cheaper than anything else out there.

I had chronic cystic acne from the age of 12 till 33...and tried everything. If you have this kind of acne..all the fancy washes and antibiotics don't work for long. Even accutane didn't work for more than a few years. It was primarily on my back and shoulders and I have the scars to prove it.

What worked the best for me..Liv52 and apple cider vinegar. I took it for other reasons, but after several months of use, my skin kept getting clearer and clearer to the point where I am lesion free. I also use dawn but all in all..I'm not even very oily any more.

oh, and while I am at it people have been noticing a pretty impressive reduction in acne using Java Lather. :)

yea ive been intrested in that soap.....im a little low on money so i havent been making so many orders from nutra lately but im deff getting some of that soap with my next order.
