Beelze training log

haven't taken cissus in a loooong time. as of yesterday, i added 1500mg glucosamine and 2G's of calcium into the daily routine. figured it can't hurt and upon further inspection my diet, i was getting minimal calcium.

anyhoo,
45 mins cardio yesterday

today -
hammer iso-wide 2/3 (30 second breaks) - (4) 360 x max, (2) 270 x max, i can only do lower half partials without aggravating my shoulder but i'm still getting a pretty good workout from it after a few sets.
rear delt flies on pec deck - 100 x 15
overhead rope pressdown 2/3 - 180 x 13 (up 10lbs and 1 rep)
CG v-handle pulldowns 2/3 - 210 x 11 (up 2 reps)
deads - picked up the bar and felt a shoulder twinge, nope.

heavy abs (extreme decline situps w/ 80lbs dumbbell x 9)

30 mins cardio

cool gluck. ill be adding fulltime cissus in like a week or two once my capper kit arrives. got me like 600g of it

hammer leg press 2/3 - 470 x 9 (up 1 rep)
one legged leg curl 2/3 - 80 x 10 (up 10lbs)
alt dumbbell preacher on perpendicular side 2/3 - 50's x 8 (up 1 rep)
dumbbell wrist curls - 60's x 18
alt calf raises - 4 sets x max

30 mins cardio

slacked off for one meal today and had a chicken/cheese quesadilla instead of a protein/waxy maize shake after the gym. too good to pass up. i'll take it a little easier on cheat day this week to compensate.

nice man some improvements !!!

yeah man, i was happy with yesterday, considering i had been up for 40 hours straight. sleep deprivation becomes comical after a while. it's like you're so tired that you quit being tired, and your body goes into 'wired' mode. running around last night at the bar giving the other bouncers flying knee's and sh!t, lol. doesn't help with the shirt i wore either "support mental health or i'll eat you". anyhoo, shoulder feels 100% better and don't see a reason why it won't be ready to roll by monday.

most likely won't get to do cardio today as there's some other sh!t i need to deal with, but i was 238lbs this morning and that is after a high carb day and a dirty meal. i'd guess 236-7 will be tomorrow regardless of cardio, still a zero carb day.

Back at it today with everything but have lost a little strength due to the shoulder mishap, but at least I can train again.

Incline bench 2/3 - 245 x 6
hammer military 2/3 - 200 x 7
skulls on flat 2/3 - 85 x 8
wide d-handle pulldowns 2/3 - 240 x 8
dumbbell rows 2/3 - 125's x 6

no time for cardio, big rush since school started again last week. now, off to work.

Solid big man solid, what do your studies consist of ??

jecko

What is the bf percentage sitting at as of recent because last time I checked you were somewhere around the 270 range

jecko - this semester is anatomy w/ lab, physiology w/ lab, and biomechanics, in addition to 40 hours a week at the bar and we all know that training and preparing food is like another job, so i'm spread pretty thin right now. it'll work out though, just busy, but who the fvck isn't?

ktw -no idea brutha. not even caring right now, going by the mirror, tape measure, and clothes fitting.

squats - 435 x 6 (pleased with this, up 10lbs)
lying leg curls 2/3 - 160 x 10 (up 2 reps)
barbell curls 2/3 - 95 x 9 (up 1 rep)
barbell shrugs - 315 x 8 (took it easy with this as i didn't want to fvck up my shoulder again, as i believe these were the culprit before. i could feel it but it didn't hurt so i didn't push it.)

30 mins cardio

no cardio or gym tomorrow. dad and i are getting up at 4am and heading to yankee stadium to see em in game 3 of the red sox series. should be a great time.

What are you going in to after school?

nycste, you don't follow baseball and you live in nyc? sh!t, going there that one day was enough for me to move there indefinitely. i love that place. new yorkers aren't as a$$holic as everyone says they are, they just don't put up with any bullsh!t, my kinda town. and everyone, EVERYONE, is into the yankees. crowd went absolutely batsh!t when francona (red sox manager) got ejected from the game. even outside of the bronx, everyone wanted to know about the game. got one good pic of my dad, my boss, and i. i'll post it later.

crader - it's a 4 year degree, bachelor of science.

oh, and make that weight 235.5lbs as of this morning. which is surprising since i cheated yesterday and had a hotdog at the stadium, with a small order of wings at 'yankee tavern' when we left.

wow 235 damn bossman.

yea i dont follow sports ever since i stopped playing most of them. i watch most big games but other then that dont really care too much. there are way too many sports teams and fans in nyc to drive people crazy trust me i know some.

anytime a boston red soxs cap is worn in nyc my friend trys to fight them and im always involved hehe

well, technically speaking i grew up in halifax county, VA. i moved to san diego (marine corps moved me to be more accurate) when i was 18 and i was there for about 8 years, then moving to richmond, VA to pursue my degree and not be as far away from the family. so, when people ask, i say 'san diego' since that's where i just came from. so, you're right. ;) SB is in cali now as well, so now you're 2-0.

negatory, that's university of richmond. i go to VCU.

anyhoo, great GREAT workout today. shoulder still couldn't handle flat bench so i'm translating that as another 'fvck you' to benching. after listening to my shoulder crunch with 135, i moved onto something else.....

hammer iso-wide 2/3 - 450 x 9 (tied old PR of when i was 272lbs)
dumbbell military 2/3 - 85's x 9 (up 1 rep)
v-handle pressdowns 2/3 - 240 x 9 (up 10lbs)
pullups 2/3 - add 45 x 6, BW x 15 (regular speed)
hammer low row 2/3 - 290 x 7 (down 1 rep)

30 mins cardio

felt pretty fvcking cool to still be going up in strength after dropping 37lbs. hope this keeps up for a while longer.

Feeling pretty good walking around at that weight? I couldn't believe how lethargic and sweaty I was around 240, I feel that under 230 I am more ninja-esque.

I've never been to NYC. I never had a reason to. I know a lot of New Yorkers here in Cali, and that's enough for me. ;)

the difference between 272 and 235 in walking around is night and day. hell, it's different (better) with everything. i still feel that 215 is going to be the weight i need to reach my goal. but everyone at the gym thinks i'm nuts for setting that weight, we shall see.

as for new york, love it there brutha. as soon as i can find a reason to go back, i'm gone. cali is way more laid back and easy going, but new york is all about getting it done, quicker the better.

Ive been to NYc twice when I was a kid. maybe a few more time.WE lived in Maryland and my dad used to take our dog (a collie) who had cancer there for radiation treatment. NYC had the best service for dogs than. He ended end spending well over 10,000 $ on the treatment. Sadly , the dog died sometime after and he wasnt the same after the radaiton. It took the hair off his face and he just didnt seem as happy.

Anyways Ive been a Baltimore Oroiles fan since I was a kid. I hjhave so many freaking baseball cards and know all the players from the nineties. I dont follow sports anymore like a fella said here in the forum, only if Im playing them.

Great workout bro. This log is an inspiration.

I've cut down as well, i'm 240lbs now, was 272lbs at one point and i feel much better as well, i'm goin for a shredded 230lbs and then i think i'll just go for strength. Ya it's fun being huge but it wears on you, the sweating alone is super uncomfortable. You finding that now, that you don't sweat nearly as much? Since this is a massive thread i'm not going to bother going back, but why do you want to be 215lbs?

no particular reason, it's just my guesstimate for what weight i'll be at. could be lower, could be higher.

as for sweating, a huge improvement. it actually takes some work to sweat now whereas before i just needed to exist.

guys i dont get it ive been lowing my carbs and totally stopped eating all junk food and i just feel soo puffy. like no fat falling off. i even started runnig a few times a week plus my 3/4 workouts

thats interesting beelze. maybe i sweat more then i normally sweat too cuz im carrying extra weight but i normally sweat more then anyone else ive ever known

i would imagine whenever your body has to support additional weight, that it would have to work harder...hence more sweat.

as for your lack of progress, could be diet, training, lack of cardio, etc.

oh yeah - 45 mins cardio. onward........

Alright Beelzepuppy, time for a new avatar.

extremely hungover today, but i forced a workout in anyway.

hack squats 2/3 - 470 x 10 (up 20lbs)
hammer leg curls 2/3 - 115 x 7 (up 15lbs)
alt dumb curls 2/3 - 65's x 4 (felt a pop in my shoulder problem area and stopped there, concentration curl - 45's x 12)
behind back barbell forearm curls - 245 x 7 (up 20lbs)
standing calves - 400 x 15

30 mins cardio

sweating pure alcohol the whole way, glad that sh!t is over, fvck.

You mixed darks and lights didn't you. :)

I got hammered on Belvedere and didn't feel a thing the next day. It's almost cheating.
