i don't really max ever, just because of the fact that it does nothing for me, as far as growth.
now is BB bench or DB bench better for growth or does that vary from person too? i do BB about 80% of the time and switch it up every once in a while to DB's.

i think your right to an extent that maxing wont necessarily help general growth BUT i feel that directly training for a desired liftto up your max will in the end help out that same body part AND make it so in the end higher weight can be used for reps and more growth can occur..... plus its just damn cool to be f'in strong and throw out huge numbers. :head:

Ever since I started lowering my volume, keeping intensity the same: HIGH, I've been making gains. I'm talking 2-3 sets for chest max. 2-3 sets for legs.
