whats your guys thoughts on the best protein powder to be used post workout?

excluding Dymatize & ON Gold Standard

Thanks.

Wow, this thread is going to explode with bunches of useless crap. Everyone has their own personal fav. Mine is any of them in H2O. Muscle Milk is my current fav.

EDIT: from looking at your other post...you do need to search some more. I am not usually one to say that but, come one man. A.I. , ON, Dymatize, Muscle Milk, Elite, Physique prolly the most dominant. There are a fewothers though.

My choice is the Syntrax Nectars :EDIT Read the Rules.
Tastes great, mixes easy with a spoon, can eat the powder without water if you somehow wanted to,Promina Whey Isolate (whoever promina is), no carbs, no fat, full of BCAAs. Oh, and fairly reasonably priced too.

cytosport's 100% whey is currently what im using and i like it .... changed it up from the usual ON whey. i enjoyed muscle milk when i tried it but i used before bedtime, i like to stick to 100% whey post workout.

You use MM post workout? I would say that is a bad idea.

I would take a look at giant nutrition (sister company to ergo). They have some great fruit flavor isolates for really great prices. You can get 10lbs for about 65 bucks, which is about what concentrates are going for these days.

That plus its meant as a slow sustained absorbtion protein, rather than fast absorbtion I'd guess. Thats the nice part of MM, taking it before bed, or pre-workout.

Well no, it has nothing to do with the carbs. In fact you want high GI carbs PWO. It has to do with the slow digesting proteins and the ****-load of fat which will only further slow down digestion. It would make a fine breakfast or pre-bed shake, but a horrible PWO shake.

Oh, MM is casein? I thought it was something different. Maybe I'll try looking at the label before I post next time.

Its a mix, both casein + whey, which makes it nice, theres some immediate uptake, plus sustained over time. I really like their lite series, but thats just cause I am transforming from a lardass, so I need low carb/fat.
