My doc prescribed androderm. He's starting me off at 5mg per day. From researching further, and based upon only minimal results, it appears likely that the dose will have to be increased. However, androderm is really expensive. So, I was wondering if supplementing with nettle root, which is supposed to bind SHBG, would make my current dose more effective?
You can get inexpensive creams from compounding pharmacies, $1-$2/day.
Chrysin would lower the SHBG
the cream can be made with individual or mixed ingredients or you can make, say, two different creams.
I find 2gram/day amount of cream easy to live with.
I currently use two creams
1gram/day of 100mg/1gram Testosterone
1gram/day of 100mg/1gram Pregnenolone
I am planning to make new mix I have additionally available
DHEA
Chrysin
I found that if I want all ingredients in one cream they can do it as follows (per 1gram):
Test-50mg
Preg-50mg
DHEA-100mg
Chrysin-50mg
If I take 2grams of that cream I would get the same amount of Test and Preg as I am using now, plus the extra DHEA and Chrysin at a cost of about $2/day.
I had a blood draw last Friday, still waiting for results.
Will try to make up my mind when I see the test results.
I have a good stash of T and Preg cream, so at first I think I will ask for DHEA and Chrysin in separate cream.
Then I will simplify and switch to just one cream that have these four ingredients.
There is possibility that other pharmacies have different possibilities.
I am interested additionally in Resveratol and 7,8 benzoflavone.
Wonder if DIM coul be added?
