Poseidon: Good Lord!!!

This is my second week on Poseidon, and I just took a post-lunch dosage of 2-1/2 scoops (which I've taken before).

Now, all the other times I've only had minor itchiness, really no burning at all.

But right now it feels like my skin's about to melt off of my body. Literally!

And I'm bright red like a tomato.

VERY disconcerting, and hopefully it'll pass quickly.

YIKES!!!!

Ok, the burning has stopped, and now I've got some itchiness going on--feels like a medium-bad sunburn.

And I'm shivering like crazy--really weird!

I'm still red, and still feel some heat, but the REALLY intense heat is gone.

MAN this has been intense. And after almost two weeks of using it, it really took me by surprise.

I'm wondering, could the mixing in my tub being uneven, resulting in concentrations of niacin instead of a uniform level across the tub?

Niacin flush, it'll get cha!

For me, niacin flushing happens totally at random. I can take 100 mg of regular niacin for weeks and then POW I'll get nailed out of the blue with a hard core flush.

Poseidon has barely given me a flush at all..just minor redness.

Yeah. The flush can get nasty. I popped some Scorch before lunch one day. It made me so red, I was embarrassed when the girl came out to give me my food. I kept my head down so she didn't think I had teh AIDS or sum10.

i kinda like the flush....except once in a while it feels like a sunburn on my neck...Poseidon is an amazing product. On day 2 and loving it....during workout with xtend today was awesome!

The flush does come and go at random times, and a number of factors could have contributed to it. The amount of food in stomach to blunt absorption, the actually heap of 2-1/2 scoops, the amount of water used to dilute it, the speed at which you drank it, etc, etc. I've been through several tubs of Poseidon now and still get a suprise flush every once in a while. My first "bad" flush didn't come until the second day of use in which I dumped it into about 6oz of water and chugged it. After about 10 minutes I felt real good being out in the snow. Kind of pleasant in a weird way.

Heh, yeah, I'd made a beeline for the door and basked in the 40 degree wind!

And the shivering after it was all over was pretty weird, too.

It was after lunch, so I had food in my belly, but I did chug it down a bit quicker than normal. Eh, now that I know what to expect, I won't be quite as startled next time.

VERY odd, though, seeing the vibrant red my triceps, elbows (front and back), full face and neck got. If I'd never heard of the flush before, I'd certainly have majorly panicked! Almost did as it was :)

LOL, I hear ya man. Cold weather and snow never felt so good... it contrast quit nicely with the vibrant red.

Next time just slow down and sip and savor the healthy deliciousness known as Poseidon.:D

I must be the weird one here, I prayed for the most intense flush I could get. I loved my scalp feeling like it was being attacked by fire ants. I am out of Poseidon and I know it. Its sad days here.

Na, fab your not weird. Once you get use to the flush, a lot of people actually start to like it.

While I have not tried Poseidon yet, I do take Niacin(nicotinic acid) on regular basis at 500mg. I have found that the flush for me is directly linked to my carb intake that particular day. If it's high carb then little to no flush at all. If it's a no/low carb day we're talking a serious flush!

Just catching this log...dji, how much water did you drink with your Poseidon? The flush can certainly happen randomly. I still get one every now and again off one serving! Remember the more water you drink with Poseidon, the less of a flush you will experience.

I personally, like others, LOVE the flush...so put me in the "weird category" as well! lol!

Maybe we could have a copromotion at Nutra Planet of Poseidon and Fire Ants, I have some in my yard.

CROWLER

Add fire ants to the synergistic list that comes with Poseidon.LOL

John I bet the BA coupled with the Poseidon in your stack gives a great tingle and burn. I'm looking into stacking the two in the not so distant future. Keep us informed if you don't mind.

the fire ants may be just a tad too much;) Trust me, when I was in the Marine Corps stationed at Parris Island we were doing PT and dropped off the side of the road to do some situps, leg raises, pushups, mountain climbers and bends and thrusts. Me, I landed in a hill of fire ants and they had to rush me to the Naval Hospital over in Beaufort. They messed me up big time. Poseidon is much nicer than those little monsters!

Workin,
You probably couldn't imagine what I have seen nor would you want to. Behind the bars its a total different world.

Good ole BFT, thats where I grew up for 20 years. My Dad is actually a doc at the naval hosp. At least you didnt lay near a pond, gators here are worse than the ants. ;)

motiv8er,

Gators...we had to cancel the "slide for life" because a gator was in the pond waiting for a nice juicy recruit!

hey since you grew up in Beaufort have you ever went out and trained with Ray Jones? I went out there a bunch of times and lifted on my own. i was asked if I wanted to learn the Olympic lifts but back then being 22 years old I wasn't the sharpest and declined. Wish I had that chance again.

I would also give anything to sit down at the Dockside and just stuff myself. Best seafood I have ever eat and the waitresses there used to be smoking.

Ray Jones IS the bomb. We have worked together on many occasions. He is a hero of a man. I think he would go without food for any of his kid competitors. And for a SERIOUS lifter like him, that says everything. He is a hero of a man.

We trained a lot of people together, but unfortunatly I never really trained Olympic with him, regrettably. He is damn cool man.

Motiv8er,

I have to agree. My buddy SSgt. Aaron Cleveland trained with him a bunch. I think Ray helped him do his first bodybuilding competition and a bunch of powerlifting meets. I think Aarons picture is on his wall. I'd love to get to visit again. I wish there was that type fo hardcore old time gym around here.

My first time in there the first thing I saw was a 7 or 8 year old little skinny girl with big glasses doing perfect squat snatches. Pretty amazing.
