Should probiotics be taken with antibiotics?

A dermatologist I saw recently treated my staph infection, which caused two skin lesions, with an antibiotic called doxicillin. I took two ten day cycles of this per his advice.

This treatement did not work. I just spoke to my thyroid/adrenal dr and he told me antibiotics can really screw you up if not taken with probiotics.

I feel really lousy this week, horrible actually.

Has anyone else heard that probiotics should be taken with antibiotics?

I vaguely remember feeling lousy after taking antibiotics years ago.

I stopped my antibiotic cycle last Friday, should I still take these?

Should I be taking them anyway?

hardasnails may have better advice.

I would use probiotics for the next two weeks and latter on from time to time and definitely when having loose stool.
 
Damn....you guys are good.....

I started getting loose stool about a week ago and have gradually felt worse since.

I specifically asked the dermatologist if antibiotics would make me feel bad....he said no....ugh.
