Anyone sick of Hugo Chavez besides me ?

Actually, my grandparents deserve the credit for the choice, sometime circa 1920. I was about 22 before I realized I had the choice to live where I wanted. That was 1988 and the USA was still a believable dream to me. Only became reaquainted to the whole plutocracy thing in the last few years, that credit would go to the internet and free thinking forums like this one ...THANKS!!!!

...the United States is still the best country, but it needs improvement. This is a phase that could be found on the Republican National Committe websit during the Clinton administration:

" Love my country, hate my goverment "

Good for the Republicans......

..but I didn't really seem them blaming America first for every problem in the world. You seem to do that quite often.

When it comes to giving America the benefit of the doubt, you aren't around. When it comes to Chavez's point of view, you lend a sympathetic ear. That's the problem.

Bobo, you nailed it. I would just add that people like anabolichippo also go out of their way to excuse and spin for third world dictators all the time. Moreover, he also has a vile tendency to attack jews:

The NAZI regime was just the most openly facist. The Nazi regime did not end when WWII ended. Their form of fascism is still practiced by "zionist" occupation forces primerally in Israel, but also through out the third world by corproate sponcered dictatorships and psudeo-democratic leaders.

I've never understood why its ok to go after other people bc they have weapons, but to have them yourself. Threat is percieved by position from an unbiased perception its hard to say that some governments arent overly agressive in protecting their own. Its easy to say you are happy with your country when you have the biggest guns and the most influence. As a small military country when will there be enough reasons to come here and kill me. Cant we all live in peace without using violence as a tool. How can you kill people to stop them from killing people. how can governemts expect people not to murder when punishing murder with murder. Well aparently it has to do with a "just cause" but once again its all positional, and the guy stabbing someone to death has the same idea his reasons are "just". Im not politically gifted but curious to the reasoning and justification of this behaviour.

Your statements would be spot on if we lived in a perfect world but unfortunately that's not the case. On 9-11, many people woke up to their daily routine but 3,000 of them were killed by terrorists. These terrorists do not belong to a specific country, they're all over the world, they don't play by the rules of warfare so why should we ? They've been a threat in the past. There was the hardly talked about 1993 WTC attack, the hardly talked about Y2K attack on LAX that was foiled so there is a pattern of terrorists trying to get us and now we're going to get them wherever they are and by all means necessary, that's at least what I would do. Unfortunately, this means innocent people in the Arab world will die as a result but if they hadn't fvcked with us in the first place then I probably wouldn't be saying this :)

The problem is that you have bought into the illusion that there is a problem.

There is no problem and there is no one to blame, not America, not Chavez and not even me!

People do not need enemies.!!!

Enemies are created for us by those who wish to exercise power over us. I will always be skeptical when someone claims that someone else is a bad guy, because the bad guy does not behave the way the program dictates.

I refuse to live in a prison planet!

Wow, you just won the award for scariest post ever!!!

Please tell me that you are not trying to play the oldest trick in the book on the readers of this forum.

The ole' "you don't agree with my opinion, so you must be an anti-?????"- sounds familiar, huh? That is because it is a typical ploy in cases of accusation without merit or fact.

Once the tactic is exposed it is easy to see who is promoting an agenda!

Nice try pal, but you can peddle that down the street with the BIOHAZZARDS of the world!

I will help to enlighten you!

Fascists = Those that force their agenda against the will of others

Zionist= fascist occupation forces located in the land of Israel

Jews = people who practice observence of the first five books of the bible(Torah)

Everyone is allowed to be ignorant of the facts, but now that you are better informed, I will ask you;

Please do not cast any unsubstantiated aspersions on the intent of my posts!!!

Any attempt to do so will easily be debunked by anyone who can read my posting history.

It is a sad day when vile tactics are used to defame unpopular opinions. How about expressing your own opinion without taging my opinion with a lable? Thanks!

Please save yourself while there is still a choice...you don't have to make enemies, you don't have to hate!!!- goodluck my friend!

ps, I must admit it is somewhat flattering to know that there are people who have nothing better to do that to read my old posts.

Then good luck with that...when you decide to step into the world of reality, let me know.

When you leave the prison planet in your rocketship, let us all know.

How many countries has Chavez invaded with out UN approval?
LOL are you serious ? I bet Chavez would have thrown darts at a map of the world and attack whatever countries the darts would land on if his country had been attacked by islamofascists. Why should we do what the UN says ? It's not like they have our best interest in mind. If Chavez had military capabilities we have then you better believe he'd abuse that power just like he has abused his power at this point of his dictatorship.

Thanks for the luck I will need it here in my sarcastic humor powered spaceship!

1) you're a bigot

2) I'm not you're friend

3) I don't buy into your definitions. They are puerile, twisted poppycock.

For you to say that anything, absolutely anything that happens in Israel is akin to Nazi Germany is beyond foul.

It is evil. Shame on you.

Please get in that rocket ship and leave Earth.

It seems like most events in history we will not be able to understand to true gravity and motives behind a significant event. With obama and clinton running this time whos your pick? I would personally hope to see someone get out of the middle east, bc George has managed to take a few terrorists and the jealous and oppressed alike who dislike american privelage, and truned every gun sight, focus, and desperate hatred upon the U.S. IMO he has done nothing but dig a big hole, a hole noone knows is fillable, the one thing i do understand is regaurless of his reasons for being there leaving now may set up the current government for failure. I would love to speak to iraqis and afghans they hold the answers, not the terrorists (who ever they may be) but the millions of destroyed innocent citizens in the middle of a war on terror.

Zionist = fascist occupation forces located in the land of Israel.

I really like the way the definition sounds. I guess I am just proud to be a fascist soldier, it sound better than defence force.

well...um...no. Zionists have existed since the 1800's. Their only goal is creating a country in the biblical land of Israel-Judea. Israel is a democracy amongst monarchy's and dictatorships. Remeber how you guys were scared of having a communist country called Cuba so close to your borders? That's how every arab country in the middle east feels towards Israel.

So I can understand how you could see Israel as being facist. You should go there and see what its like, then go to Mecca and ask for a beer, just to compare the 2 places.

1)I think you may be confused the word "bigot" is considered offensive and for many has a negative connotation. Would you say anything that could be considered offensive or prejudiced if you knew there was a choice? ...Unless you were prejiduced against bigots,...well, in either case you are entitled to your opinion,..Do you think I could be allowed the same priviledge???

2) Maybe I was presumptious to call you my friend. Would you prefer fellow Earthling?...Yes, that sounds nice! I mean we have to share the same planet whether you like it or not, so why not make the best of it?

3) My definitions are not here for you to buy into,...they're free!

I do agree that nazism and zionism are evil. See I knew we could agree on something!

I will take off in my ship but, its really a multidimentional type of craft so technically, I would not "leave the earth"..well its kind of complicated...thanks for the encouragement and good luck with that whole "defending Israel to the grave" mentality, I am sure it will lead to many wonderful relationships.

Remember, Shame and guilt are programs that are used to control your behavior. Ultimately, you still have the choice; LOVE or FEAR,... you can change the world, if you try!

Ummm. do you think that is really they're only goal?...oh and wasn't there a country or atleast a group of people already living a peaceful life in the biblical land of Israel in the 1800?? I wonder what happened to them???

So I can understand how you could see Israel as being facist. You should go there and see what its like, then go to Mecca and ask for a beer, just to compare the 2 places.

Hey , if deep in your heart of hearts you feel like you are doing the right thing, then I would defend your right to have that choice. I don't know that everyone living in Israel can make that same choice, mainly because there are laws that forbid it!

What's worse a country that doesn't sell beer or one that imprisons people for being the wrong race/religion?

The middle east has always been in turmoil. That's what happens when people let religious illusions rule there lives.

The mainstream muslim issues are based upon two key points;

1) The existance of the state of Israel

2) Non-muslim presence on sacred muslim ground(US troops in Saudi Arabia)

...not alot of wiggle room there. I guess we will just have to sit back and wait for the messiah to come straighten this out!...

...in other words when the world ends the middle east will be at peace!..should be around 2012, they say

In 2000 when Arafat (I like the way the arab media hid his sickness) had a chance to make peace, but didn't, it was well known in Israel that everything will be falling apart again. The leaders of the arab countries started blaming Israel for all their problems again, Israel is backed by the US, and there you go. If the Elders of Zion were true, I'd be chilling in a tent right now with 73 virgins. 1 more virgin than what a suicide bomber gets.

Have you seen the tv shows played in Egypt, Syria and Lebanon? Jews sacrifing arab babies. It kinda made me laugh, but they believe it too be true.

As for certain people being arrested - lets not forget that many arabs did not leave Israel in 1948, and are full citizens (except they dont have to serve in the army if they choose not too - most do). They are exposed to a democratic media and they see what is going on in other countries. If they wanted to move to Syria, there is nothing stopping them, but they choose to live in Israel. Hell, I served with 2 arabs.

The existance of the State of Israel is just an excuse for Assad and his friends to point blame at an outside evil. They, like Chavez, want complete power.

I would too in their case.

BTW - There was peace prior to the 1800's, there was also the usual persecution, killings, riots etc. Enough Jews legally bought land in Palestine and started moving there, starting farm collectives. Eventualy there were more Jews than Arabs. The UN gave us a country the size of a pinhead. Ever since that moment, any time something bad in the world happens, its Israels doing.

In no time you'll be thanking us for destroying Iran's nuclear facility - kinda like what we did with Iraq, but hopefully there will be more French scientist in the vacinity.

We should of given you Nevada! Been alot less trouble Or half of Germany the Arabs didn't deserve to get kicked off there land with no compensation. Israel can't touch Iran's nuclear facilities there underground.

Maybe this is why Iran doesn't trust us looks like we weren't always trying to spread democracy.

Modern Iran: From Pahlavi to Islamic Revolution (1921-1979)
With the rise of modernization in the late nineteenth century, desire for change led to the Persian Constitutional Revolution of 1905-1911. In 1921, Reza Khan (known as Reza Shah after assuming the throne) staged a coup against the weakened Qajar dynasty. A supporter of modernization, Reza Shah initiated the development of modern industry, railroads, and establishment of a national education system.

During World War II, Britain and the USSR invaded Iran from August 25 to September 17, 1941, to stop an Axis-supported coup and secure Iran's petroleum infrastructure. The Allies forced the Shah to abdicate in favor of his son, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, whom they hoped would be more supportive. In 1951, an eccentric pro-democratic nationalist, Dr. Mohammed Mossadegh rose to prominence in Iran and was elected Prime Minister. As Prime Minister, Mossadegh alarmed the West by his nationalization of Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (later British Petroleum, BP) that had controlled the country's oil reserves. In response, Britain immediately embargoed Iran. Soon after, members of the British Intelligence Service invited the United States to join them in covertly overthrowing the democratically-elected Mossadegh. Initially, United States President Harry S. Truman refused, but after Dwight D. Eisenhower was elected the British proposed the plan again. After convincing Eisenhower that Mossadegh was sympathetic to communism (even though he was an avowed anti-communist), the United States agreed to assist Britain in Operation Ajax. President Eisenhower authorized the CIA to take the lead in the operation of overthrowing Mossadegh and supporting a US-friendly monarch.

Mohammad Reza Pahlavi overthrown in the 1979 Iranian revolution. Farah Pahlavi former Empress of Iran
Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh, founder of Iran's first democratic government, overthrown in a CIA-backed coup in 1953The CIA faced many setbacks, but the covert operation soon went into full swing, conducted from the US Embassy in Tehran under the leadership of Kermit Roosevelt, Jr. Agents were hired to facilitate violence; and, as a result, protests broke out across the nation. Anti- and pro-monarchy protestors violently clashed in the streets, leaving almost three hundred dead. The operation was successful in triggering a coup, and within days, pro-Shah tanks stormed the capital and bombarded the Prime Minister's residence. Mossadegh surrendered, and was arrested on 19 August 1953. He was tried for treason, and sentenced to three years in prison. Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's rule became increasingly autocratic in the following years. With strong support from the US and UK, the Shah further modernized Iranian industry, but simultaneously crushed all forms of political opposition with his intelligence agency, SAVAK. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini became an active critic of the Shah's White Revolution and publicly denounced the government. Khomeini, who was popular in religious circles, was arrested and imprisoned for 18 months. After his release in 1964, Khomeini publicly criticized the United States government. The Shah was persuaded to send him into exile by General Hassan Pakravan. Khomeini was sent first to Turkey and then to Iraq. While in exile, he continued to denounce the Shah.

No one was kicked off their land.

Some prove to me that they were, define the definition of a palestinian, and tell me exactly which laws create this percieved inequality based on race and religion.

You seem to have a much more clear understanding of what Israel is , than what information the US mainstream media permits Americans access.

Now, technically the only country that has nuclear weapons in the middle east is Israel, although legally(UN- wise) they are not supposed to posess nuclear weapons(nudge, nudge ,wink, wink)

The economic boom in Israel was spurred by an international oil pipeline direct from ...IRAN, I don't understand why Israel would want to jepordize that relationship.

Most moderate Arabs welcomed Jewish settlers in 1948, it just got ugly when the land grab started in the 1960's. Israel has the longest running international UN mandated sanction. They agreed to vacate the land they occupied after the war of 1967....still waiting 40 years later!

These are some of the dualities that I find fustrating and worthy of debate and critizism, not to mention the open caste system, which I believe goes something like: 1) Israeli-born white Ashkanazi Jews 2) immigrant, white Ashkanazi Jews 3) Israeli-born non-white Sephardic Jews 4) immigrant, non-white Sephardic Jews 5) Israeli-born, non-Palestinian, non-Jews 6) Palestinians

Israel is a soveriegn state and is free to make its own rules, just don't call it democracy.

No worries the US did the same thing to the Native Americans Im not judging isreal. We just did it a few hundred years earlier so I guess that makes it all right:think:

Zionism and Israel

David Ben Gurion (First Prime Minister of Israel) publicly pronouncing the Declaration of the State of Israel, May 14, 1948, Tel Aviv, Israel, beneath a large portrait of Theodore Herzl, founder of modern political Zionism. In 1947 Britain announced its intention to withdraw from Palestine, and on 29 November the United Nations General Assembly voted to partition Palestine into an Arab state and a Jewish state (with Jerusalem becoming an international enclave). The Jewish Agency accepted the plan, while the Arabs of Palestine and the neighboring countries rejected it and commenced to use force to abort the establishment of a Jewish state in the area allotted to it by the UN. Civil conflict between the Arabs and Jews in Palestine ensued immediately. On 14 May 1948 the leaders of the Jewish community in Palestine made a declaration of independence, and the state of Israel was established. This marked a major turning point in the Zionist movement, as its principal goal had now been accomplished. Many Zionist institutions were reshaped, and the three military movements combined to form the Israel Defence Forces.

The majority of the Arab population having either fled or been expelled during the War of Independence, Jews were now a majority of the population within the 1948 ceasefire lines, which became Israel's de facto borders until 1967. In 1950 the Knesset passed the Law of Return which granted all Jews the right to immigrate to Israel. This, together with the influx of Jewish refugees from Europe and the later flood of expelled Jews from Arab countries, had the effect of creating a large and apparently permanent Jewish majority in Israel.

Since 1948 the international Zionist movement has undertaken a variety of roles in support of Israel. These have included the encouragement of immigration, assisting the absorption and integration of immigrants, fundraising on behalf of settlement and development projects in Israel, the encouragement of private capital investment in Israel, and mobilization of world public opinion in support of Israel.

The 1967 war between Israel and the Arab states (the "Six-Day War") marked a major turning point in the history of Israel and of Zionism. Israeli forces captured the eastern half of Jerusalem, including the holiest of Jewish religious sites, the Western Wall of the ancient Temple. They also took over the remaining territories of pre-1948 Palestine, the West Bank (from Jordan) and the Gaza Strip (from Egypt). Religious Jews regarded the West Bank (ancient Judaea and Samaria) as an integral part of Eretz Israel, and within Israel voices of the political Right soon began to argue that these territories should be permanently retained. Zionist groups began to build Jewish settlements in the territories as a means of establishing "facts on the ground" that would make an Israeli withdrawal impossible.

The 28th Zionist Congress (Jerusalem, 1968) adopted the following five principles, known as the "Jerusalem Program", as the aims of contemporary Zionism:[29]

The unity of the Jewish people and the centrality of Israel in Jewish life
The ingathering of the Jewish people in the historic homeland, Eretz Israel, through aliyah from all countries
The strengthening of the State of Israel, based on the "prophetic vision of justice and peace"
The preservation of the identity of the Jewish people through the fostering of Jewish, Hebrew and Zionist education and of Jewish spiritual and cultural values
The protection of Jewish rights everywhere.
Control of the West Bank and Gaza placed Israel in the position of control over a large population of Palestinian Arabs. Whether or not there had been a distinct Palestinian national identity in the 1920s may be debated, but there is no doubt that by the 1960s such an identity was firmly established — the founders of Zionism had thus, ironically, created two new nationalities, Israeli and Palestinian, instead of one.

The faith of the Palestinians in the willingness and ability of the Arab states to defeat Israel and return Palestine to Arab rule was destroyed by the war, and the death of the most militant and popular Arab leader, Gamal Abdel Nasser of Egypt, in 1970 reinforced the belief of Palestinians that they had been abandoned. The PLO, created in 1964 after a proposal by Nasser at the first Arab Summit, took on new life as an autonomous movement led by Yasser Arafat, and soon turned to terrorism as its principal means of struggle.

From this point the history of Israel and the Palestinians can be followed in the article Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In 1975 the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 3379 was passed. It stated that "zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination"[30] The resolution 3379 was rescinded in 1991 by the Resolution 4686.[31] This issue is discussed in length in the article on anti-Zionism.

Since 1948 most Jews have continued to identify as Zionists, in the sense that they support the State of Israel even if they do not choose to live there. This worldwide support has been of vital importance to Israel, both politically and financially. This has been particularly true since 1967, as the rise of Palestinian nationalism and the resulting political and military struggles have eroded sympathy for Israel among non-Jews, at least outside the United States. In recent years, many Jews have criticised the morality and expediency of Israel's continued control of the territories captured in 1967.

Well, the unfortuante truth is that most Israeli's, including myself, do not want the west bank or gaza, or golan. In this case, I do agree with you, there are some very bad/evil Israeli's (Israeli white Ashkanazi's) which have a lot of power right now and are causing a lot of problems to non-Israeli's.

How do you know so much about Israel? Your caste comment made me laugh because it's so politically incorrect, but its so true. Im sephardic, and I HATE ASHKANZI'S, especially the American ones.

FYI- Arafat was born in Egypt. He was just a terrorist and crooked leader; he was not palestinian.

As for your text, who cares about it? It's meaningless. I've never seen it before. I'll assume it was published by another middle eastern country.

I am a student of history. I learned along time ago that the ruling class writes the history books. I live among many orthodox jews in nyc. They were the first to explain the difference between judism and zionism. Most of them are Ashkanazi. I do not wish to pander to hate. I have learned much by studying the
history of the Jews from Babylon. Its funny how people treat you based upon the color of you skin. I just want to expose hypocracy where I can and Israel is the best example I can find.

I know people in Israel are just people like me, but my grievences are with the way the country is run.

Good luck and keep hate out of your heart!

While some may not understand the meanings or agree with the things you post, I totally agree that war, hatred, and the military do not solve problmes they create them. We have been perpetuating violence to deal with violence, makes no sense. "all men are created equal and have inalienable rights bestowed upon them by the creator, life, liberty and freedom" not exactly what was written but close enough. I think the source or americas power lie within the declaration of independance, bill of rights, gettysburg adress etc... The ideals outlined sybolize evrything good about a free democratic society, but i fear those values have been lost and are now excuses to kill to protect freedom. America has been losing touch with the very truths that made it the best counrty in the world, hopefully the government hasnt led too many astray in efforts to justify violence. Our god IMO is not a vain god spiteful of "enemies" and quick to hand down punishment but rather neutral and all loving. How can anyone kill in the name of freedom, counrty and especially god. I think the purity of all religion has been fithied up and been used as a guilt ridden manipulative tool by some to justify unjustifiable behaviour. God never wrote the bible, and why would the "creator" destory the people he loved, wheater they loved him back or not. Just my two cents, but in an evolving world where we are free to learn and change, my opinions may do the same. I am greatfull for the rights i have, and its unfortunate many have died to protect these rights but when will it end, are we self destructing?

These are valid points, that I agree.

All systems have a tendency through entropy to become chaotic. So, yes we are self-destructing, but that is an opportunity to evlove into something else.

Wikipedia is not free from corruption, so you have to be careful sometime you will find historical facts mixed with opinion and theory and presented as true.

"I pray to God for the people of the United States. I hope they're capable of liberating themselves from the tyranny they have," Chavez said. "Who would be the greater fascist - Hitler or Bush? They might end up in a draw."
