Slicin' and Dicin'

Yeah man they grow so fast….. just wait until you have Grandkids.
we're excited about that! I've been grooming him... we talk a lot about it and I show him parcels of land. I told him to consider the paycheck house. buy a couple acres and live in a trailer like white trash. then just build a new house paycheck by paycheck over a decade. all the sudden you're 30 with a house on land and a wife with a baby on her hip.

What a blessing, you get to train with him while he’s just beginning to set PRs.😎

I think we inspire eachother tbh! with him and my buddy behind me today, I knew they would squat 100lbs more than me, but for my amrap I made sure I put everything I had into it. I wanted good form, deep reps, and to leave nothing on the field. I wanted to set the bar of hard work. cause I don't want them to squat 50lbs more than me if they can squat 100lbs more than me. I wanted to show them how hard of work my expectations were of myself and hopefully of them! I got no problem with them squatting 500 if I hit 350 as long as their 500 was as hard as my 350!

Since I can't post the video.
He has 445 I think, but he doesn't not have the skills to handle 405 on his back. His legs are much stronger than 405, but he can't man handle it out of the rack like 315. At 405+ it's starting to throw him around so it's not a strength issue as much of a skill issue IMO. He will get it. How blessed am I to hit the gym with the boys today and record my kid burying a 405!!!

Exactly, that’s a great example you’re setting…been battling the knee issue all this year, and then turn in a great leg day like that, and putting over 321 lbs on the bar already, is an even greater example for him, because he didn’t just see you push hard but you have had to persevere this year push beyond the pain and really fight back to be squatting again. I guarantee you that never give up and never say die attitude has probably stuck with him even more than you know.😎👍

Notes
Got some bad news on the gym today, they're closing my favorite location in Tacoma July 20th. So super bummed about that, it's such a great gym, great management and great members. I'll have to figure out what my adjustment is next month.

Actually got a decent pump from that swim lol. I'm so salted this weekend I'd be delicious on the BBQ. Took the last half gallon of my salted crystal lite and ice tea yesterday mixed into about a gallon of salted Arnold Palmer and carried shakers of that around with me all day doing my chores.

Released all my meat birds to their run so here's a pic of a ranger (red one) with a Bresse (grey one) both hatched June 2nd next to a 1 week cold Cornish cross.

Got about half a cord of firewood stacked and put away and started chopping the last of my rounds I gotta work through. Little hedging, yard work etc and got my first nap in wife and I crashed on the couch for twenty minutes yesterday afternoon. Neighbors invited her over for a glass of wine and I was still groggy and felt like I needed to do something hard so got up and went to go stack and chop wood for a bit instead.
