First Time Cycle

Hey everyone..I'm a 40 year old male with a little bit too much body fat cause of years of drinking and eating like trash...I have been working out for years and just recently have gotten on TRT...I'm on 200mg a week and am definitely getting visible results...now I have a few questions...I was thinking about running Anavar for my first real cycle as I hear it helps with fat loss...my diet is dialed in I hit my macros and stay in a deficit but I just have some real stubborn belly fat...would Anavar help with that or is there something better? Also when should I start taking N2Guard the same day as the Var? Week before? 2 weeks? And how long after I come off the Var should I keep on the N2? Thanks for your help!!

subscribing to see what the pharma pros offer here.
I have had a couple runs of var, but typically on a cut to preserve mass, or on a bulk chasing strength PRs. my personal observation wasn't an increase in fat loss outside of normal diet/NEAT.

Would generally not recommend any cycle until your body fat is at or below the 15% range because of the higher risk of estrogen-related side effects that would have to be managed due to the higher body fat percentage.

Definitely would not do any oral, because, based on your description, you have quite a bit of fat still to lose and wouldn't want to be on any oral for the amount of time it would take for it to matter to your physique.

Nothing wrong with some var alongside your trt, but I don't think it's going to do the type of fat burning You're expecting. Var is better than other steroids at burning fat, but you'd have better luck with an actual fat burner.

Also, n2guard is an overpriced gimmick I think it's like $100 a bottle or something stupid and it's very unnecessary. If I remember correctly it's a couple underdosed liver health supplements mixed in with what basically looks like a multivitamin. If you're overly concerned just get yourself some NAC and take 1200-1800mg/day

At higher body fat percentages I wouldn't expect you to see any cosmetic effects and I would also expect a little bump in your blood pressure. Ultimately your diet is going to determine the outcome but given all things being equal I'd expect you to see more strength gains than you did fat loss

Yeah, Dylan used to push n2guard Hard. LOL.
What a racket. They made Tons off of that overpriced crap.

Yeah, I agree with what @Smont said about probably not seeing a lot of benefits on fat burning from Var. But that made me stronger than any other compound I can think of.

These are the comments I expected to see but definitely didnt' want to overstep with my limited experience-

Its a very low risk little cycle, I just want him to understand that the "fat burning" aspect is a bit exaggerated. It's definitely batter then other steroids at burning fat with the exception of tren, but still no fat burner.

Like....... My VW Teguan will definitely beat my Ford ranger in a race, but that doesn't make my Volkswagen a race car lol

Agreed, wait on Anavar until you body's composition is more "user friendly".

But nothing wrong with adding CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin or if worried about visceral fat Tesamorelin.

*not all at the same time- start with one and see if there are any negative effects.

Would mention AOD-9604 but a lot of mixed reviews with results and more importantly you 100% need to be on a calorie deficit with AOD.

I appreciate all the responses sounds like I need Tren....I joke lol..but seriously I'm nowhere near experienced enough to get on a cycle of Tren so I thought Anavar would be my best bet...and as far as body fat % I have no idea but I have muscular definition now that I started test but I have a stubborn stomach...my dr at the clinic swears the Anavar will do it...but granted he charges for the script so he will be making more money off me but at the same time it's bad business to lie to your customer when I can just go to another clinic...just trying to get other people's opinions who have used before or know more than I do

Haha, yeah don’t buy from your clinic, those clinic Dr’s are just steroid dealers with a license. If you really want to run something with your TRT, Mast would be a better choice. You can run it for a lot longer without your lipids going to sh*t and would do pretty much the same thing as Var.

Best is to invest in a better diet (nobody with an “dialed in diet” have stubborn stomach fat) and maybe a fat burner.

Nah I seriously eat grilled chicken and broccoli salmon and rice one protein bar for a snack a banana pre workout and 4 ounces ground turkey and a cup of egg whites after work (I work nights)..then a 60gram isolate shake to make sure I hit my protein...I did alot of damage to my body in 40 years of drinking lol let me see if I can upload before and most recent

Before is the right photo and the most recent like 3 weeks ago is the left... I'm not bulking at all but my lifts in the gym are stronger and still going up imma assume from the 200mg of test...cutting is way more difficult than a bulk obviously

Sorry to say but that’s not “stubborn stomach fat”, that’s straight overweight fat and no steroid will help that.

“If” that’s what you eat, keep eating just that, except the protein bar, for an extended period of time (~6 months) and you will lose that weight. When you are below 15% bf (you’re +30% bf now) you can start thinking of adding another anabolic.

I’m not trying to be mean but it’s the hard truth. Keep pushing.

If i don't eat the protein bar I won't get my macros...hell "gymbros" say I'm cutting to aggressive...why I can't lose the fat...they said on the test I should be eating more idk...nah I know I'm fat...never denied it lol..but I can see a difference in my belly for sure

what macros are you trying to hit? I personally think protein bars are dogshit for hitting macros, I haven't seen any that make sense for me. doesn't mean I won't have one occasionally (one a year maybe) but they're usually low on protein, mid to high on fat and carbs.

for those macros you could hardboil 18 eggs on Sunday and have them in your fridge all week long as a snack. I make ground turkey and rice every sunday and portion out 5 breakfasts that way. hard boiled eggs as snacks etc, and make salads with no dressing covered in chicken that gets me fiber and more lean protein. Right there I have the majority of my work already done sunday night, for the week.

Dinner during the weak we usually cook fish at least once, if not twice, lean meats, and cooked veggies like roasted brussels sprouts etc.

Idk how much of said things you eat but protein bars are usually not that good nutritional wise, sometimes they can be good as a treat or when you’re on the go but I wouldn’t use them as a daily snack, especially not if I’m cutting.

Don’t listen to “gymbros”, get a nutritionist if you want to listen to anyone about your diet. Stay the course and be patient, it takes time

All this is great!

Btw seeing how overweight you are and hearing that your “Clinic Dr” recommends Anavar just proves that they are “drug dealers with a license” that only cares about money and not what’s best for you.

Does Anavar not preserve muscle during a deficit? Seems to me like a recomposition drug..idk that's why im asking...at some point such a drastic cut is gonna cause me to plateau on the weights right? And also without the protein bar I would need like 7 to 8 hard boiled eggs a day...that's if I only eat the white...according to all my apps at 258lbs my maintenance is around 3k calories...and Google fit is only that if I get my 10k daily steps in ( I do) I promise y'all I'm not getting 3k I'm barely getting 2k and thats if my protein shake is mixed with whole milk...the protein bar is pre workout cause of the carbs and then a banana post workout and sometimes even right before my incline walk (leg day squats back day deadlifts) I'm not eating 3k calories I assure you...treadmill says I burn 400 at my weight so I'm definitely not eating 3400 a day or even on weekends...if we eat out I'm eating a steak or chicken there too....maybe cortisol is the problem or maybe my genetics I can't get that low in body fat who knows?

what was your starting weight, what do you weight now, and how long did that take? You've clearly made progress, it sounds like you're pretty dang close with your nutritional approach and the protein bar preWO makes more sense.

in regards to the hard boiled eggs, yes they are low protein and a fat source. I also toss in avacados a fat source because they are satiating. but like I mentioned I cook a ton of ground turkey, lean ground beef, and chicken every sunday that is portioned out for the week. thats the majority of my protein intake. we also always have animal protein at dinner. if I think i'm particularly low I'll add a protein shake in my coffee or postWO.

Without knowing how many lbs you've lost so far and over what period of time its not really possible to say if you have underlying issues cause you've clearly lost weight already.

I would wait on the var, personally. You can still make a ton of progress with what you have.
is your doc planning to write you a script for the anavar or are you going black market? a lot of it is actually dbol passed off as anavar which is going to have the opposite effect on you anyways. I truly don't think you need it yet. especially since you already have trt support.

I treat protein bars as emergency protein or a treat
(some are pretty tasty) But for the most part there not great, real food always is better.

Many protein bars are 200-300 calories and 20-30gm protein.

1 cup fat free vanilla Greek yogurt is about 150 cal and 22 gm protein. Add 1/2 banana and 1 tbsp of powder peanut butter and your are at 225-250 cal and 25gm protein. 25-30gm carbs and 1gm fat and it tastes like you're having dessert. For an extra 50 calories I'll do a squirt of whipped cream and a sprinkle of mini chocolate chips lol

I would say you're making progress! I can see a difference between those photos. The depth perception changes a few things but you most certainly have a smaller midsection in the current photo.

At that fat level you’re at, Anavar (or any steroid for that matter) won’t do much more than screw your lipids up, it’s not worth it.

You don’t have “stubborn stomach fat”, you have an excessive amount of fat and excessive fat loss takes time, even bodybuilders start prep +20 weeks out from a show. Stay on track of what you’re doing and be patient, come back in 6 months and we give all cycle advices you need.
