Weights up, scales down…

There should be very minimal difference without it. It isn't patching an issue, it is growing new capillaries and increasing healing factors in your blood making you more efficient at healing. There are some anti-inflammatory effects, but mostly the difference between being on and off it will be that your healing will go back to normal levels but any actual recovery / improvement you got from it is going to stay.

Speaking of this, I might add some BPC in when they do my Trigger Point injections. The needling will signal for healing which would allow BPC to do it's thing even on an older injury.

That makes a lot of sense. I have noticed an easing in my neck/ arm that has been bugging me on and off last 2 years. Not like magically better but has definitely improved.

That’s how it works. It’s not magic, except it is when you realize you had a problem and simply injecting something actually helped improve it when it otherwise wasn’t.

This is the same way with steroids. People hear so much sensationalism they expect Super Soldier Serum. But if you keep expectations grounded, that they will indeed help, you’ll appreciate them for the magic they are. They are magic! But there’s limitations.

Super Soldier Serum.
I think the compound we are looking for in this scenario is called "meth"

Nice squats!

Ya I like leaning both ways in different training cycles for raises (so like you are doing or ones where you grab a rack and lean out and use the free hand to raise the weight).

I hope your move goes well, and you don't get caught up in bad weather.

Also, congrats on the PR!

Exhausted..

So first trip with moving was good, headed out Monday for the conference, that was way busier and time consuming then I thought it was going to be.

Got home this evening. Tomorrow we will pack another load and get the fifth wheel camper hooked up and take it down south. Great timing at almost 5 dollars a gallon diesel.

Then work on organizing stuff and get camper set up and see what all works and what I got to work on. Then Thursday make a trip back to the rental have a work going away party on Friday. Then load up another load and head back south.

So functional lifting will be nill rest of the week and next week.

Did get in a hotel gym lift, pushups, sit-ups etc.

Hit a little session in the garage when we got back super low weight sets of 4x8. Will get up early and hit a AM session before getting everything ready.

Hang tight brother! You have a good plan, so just stay focused.

You got a lot going on dude, I highly doubt that missing a few days while you are currently very busy/active is going to be a set back for you. if anything it might help light the fire for enjoying a dominate return to the iron. No need to risk burnout/injury/stress/cortisol etc this week since you aren't exactly on crunch time for a stage/comp in the next week.

Thanks guys!

Heading back to get more stuff today, last load got the camper and got it all set up so that’s huge. This next load I think we will have it all. Excited to get this trip done and to get the weights setup in the shop and get back in a routine!

Will get some pictures Sunday

It’s mostly just parking for the old farm vehicles and shop with all the tools/ welders etc.

Ultimately the plan will be to add a addition to the side and have a sealed off gym area and also make that my home office work area

did you ever decide on a new welder? I was walking through a harbor freight a couple weeks ago thinking about that, they had a shocking amount of options too.

I got 15 chicks in my bathroom right now, 5 new layers for the main flock and 10 cornish cross that I'm hoping are at harvest size before May 1 when I go on vacation. if not, they get 2 more weeks to fatten up lol.

I'm running this as a test. if the CC go well, I'm hoping to maybe raise and process 40 more cornish cross for the freezer this year...

I have shot and BBQ'd rabbits off our land before but I've never raised them for meat. are yours going to be meat rabbits or pets? I saw some folks set up rabbit cages in their garden for the instant fertizilizer, kinda an interesting concept.

I really want to put a small coop in our garden and move a couple of our old layers to the garden in the fall when we are done with the harvest and let them just poop and peck over everything and put a fresh round of new fertilizer in....

Got 12 chicks at the moment and probably going to get 8-10 more. Seen the Cornish ones and thinking about getting some.

Going to do meat rabbits and yeah set up to save the manure to go back in the garden. Same thoughts with the ducks take the duck water and use that in the garden. They claim that works really well so we shall see! This fall need to source some cows to buy. Plan is to build up to 15-20 head over time. Got the room for them and 15-20 acres to plant up for some feed.

solid! mom and dad usually only keep 6-8 head now and we butcher usually 1 or 2 every summer. We are doing one this summer and I'm excited about it cause a guy I went to high school with is in processing now and he does better than anyone I know. plus we end up getting way more meat back (for some reason!) when he processes my cows.

My wife keeps an eclectic flock for layers, mostly centered around the easter eggers so she has like 6 different colors of eggs. The cornish cross you probably already know, but typically you want to butcher before about 12 weeks or they get so big that their legs break and they have heart attacks. I've seen people say they can process their birds as early as 6 weeks but I weighed one of my chicks last night and it was 1lb so mine will be no where near 6+ lbs by the end of April. I'm guessing I'll harvest at 8-9 weeks.

I never thought about the duck water. we keep a kiddie pool filled with water for the ducks in the run (2 runner ducks). we often just dump it and refill with fresh for them (which they love), I'll have to look into the idea of using it as fertilizer!

we keep a kiddy pond for our ducks that we will clean and refill from time to time, the drake LOVES to jump in for a bath and swim. I recently learned that this is called "liquid gold". I hadn't ever thought about it before, but that water makes for good natural fertilizer for your garden FWIW!!! I'll probably use it myself this year a bit!

Its funny how separating the posts by a month I completely forgot what we had already talked about. Is your wife big into the chickens? that really helps in my case. I have the cornish cross moved out side now in the main coop fenced off from the other birds with a heat lamp still but we are on day 4 out side at only 3 weeks old and they're doing great. I don't mind checking them, food/water in the morning before work but having my wife help with week 1 chicks and then occasional coop cleanings, egg gathering, etc is nice. we always have a pile of fresh eggs and she does a lot of the work since I built the coop which is really nice.

last Sunday we had 17 eggs somehow from 11 chickens lol. we are getting about 8-11/day at the moment with 5 new layers going into the coop here probably in about 2 weeks. I'm going to double the size of their run to do a little pasture management. My plan is to seed one half of the run (while they are locked out into the other run) and go back and forth so that they have fresh greens growing in their two different areas.

Man that sounds like the life out there. My wife probably wouldn't be into it but I would!!!

its good for the soul!
I grew up in West Virginia, and while we did not have a farm there were several people around us that had animals, and one was an older couple we used to go visit and help with their animals all the time, and I loved it.

its a weird constant hard work that leaves you feeling better. Like feeding the birds at 5am before going to work this morning, and last night was much of the same until cooking dinner. its a 24/7 job thats always busy but you fall asleep easy and somehow the brain is just too busy being connected to real life to stress too much over media/news/politics. we're in a good place right now.
