lots of pause work going in here, seems like the nitty gritty good stuff. something about pause isn't something that I look forward to but man it always reaps rewards.

Facts! Pause squat and bench (both close grip and regular grip). Then deadlift is one heavy set then back off sets for speed work.

Be fun to see what 2 blocks of this will do!
 
i'm retarded so my last rep is always paused no matter what and I honestly dont even know why.
I’m awful about this; the only rep that needs to be paused ever is the first one, yet something stupid in my brain seems to think you get style points for finishing with a pause. When all it’s really doing is making the last rep slower!

yes that is exactly what I do 😂 😂
doesn't matter if its a set of 3, 5, 10, or 20. I always reset on that last rep and for whatever reason.....

Yeah cold here too. I was thinking to myself I’d like to get my Widegrip bench done in the garage on lunch break today maybe in the garage…then I remembered it’s low 20s. Windchill was at 8* when we went to school this morning.

Not having cost effective heat in the garage for winter is the entire reason I started going to the barbell club!
Have a look at this thing it could probably warm u a garage pretty quickly. it has 50,000-80,000BTU, good for up to 2000sq ft.

This seemed like a really good session! That speed work on the deads at 225 and also the close grip looking real good.

there used to be a dude here on AM that was squatting like 445 in his back yard in upstate new york in the snow. he'd have to shovel his back porch off to go out and squat. I think about him a lot and have never tried to be like him.

There was a dude in North Carolina when I was working a project there he had his camper set up and then outside he had rack set up, dude was out there rain or shine getting it done.

a little unconventional, mamma needed a break from the kiddos and to run some errands before we are gone for the next week. So I just had them come out to the garage. Got what I could in and keeping them occupied, we did laps, monster trucks, then pretend grocery checkouts 😂

Just getting things warmed back up so didn’t keep track just listing what I did

Lat pull down - wide grip 2 sets then 2 sets v handle

Cable shoulder raises 4 sets

Seated DB press 3x12x50 final set drop set down to 20#ers

Db shrugs

Side raises and front raises

Leg press

Face pulls

Pull ups

Around 50 minutes ish felt good

Sleep has not been good last couple of weeks, daughter is making huge developments really talking in sentences now and figuring more things out. But with all that the sleep regression has been real.

If you can keep the bandaid/cotton ball on, I’ve found it doesn’t matter. Just don’t take it off and then squat or deadlift lol
