Pre-Workouts!

Haven't seen this asked in a hot minute. What are some of the good ones out there these days?
If you have any recommendations on ones with LITTLE to NO Alpha-Y that would be awesome. (Tends to send me into survival mode)
I got Alpha Lion Pre and BZRK Black Label currently, they're 'decent'.

I rarely use stim pre's but when I do, its usually Muscle Addiction's Pump Addict Ultra Hardcore.

Great pumps and a great clean energy.

The Alpha Yohimbine dose is low and the other ingredients smooth it out perfectly.

DPS has it on a great sale right now where its 29.99 each or 2 for 49.99 (that's 80 servings for 49.99).

I’m sure everyone knows I’m a non stim guy by now but I finally tried sicario pump by extremis and it’s pretty awesome. Got some samples from their website. Their pre workout with stims looks pretty stacked as well.

This looks good but as you said, it's non-stim. I could probably add caffeine pills and Y HCL to it.

What's funny is I use Thermagize XT on my non-lifting days (did today too) that has AY and I have NO issues with it.
 
I've had issues with some stim pre-workouts (fat burners) giving me too much phlegm. To the point where it's annoying because I have to keep spitting out lol. I think the culprit is GBB. So I'm avoiding anything with GBB.

Yep I experience this. It happens like 10-20mins after taking it but then goes away in like 10 mins. It's wild. Nose running where it's almost dripping onto the floor lol.

I prefer capped pre-workouts. I wake up early in the morning to train and don't feel like mixing powder and sipping. I just want to quickly down some caps and on my way to the gym.
 
1/2 cup of coffee, a slice of raisin bread, and a10g serving of clear whey actually i use a 1/2 five hour energy in place of the coffee now

We’re similar in the pre workouts we like, I’m not a complicated guy who takes a ton of different aminos in a pre workout. Give me some blueberries and a teaspoon of salt in my water and I’m good to go for pre workout.

Yep sometimes I skip the caffeine. Some nice high glycemic carbs for the glycogen and whey to make sure aminos are there when needed IMO the pre-workout mixes might make a person feel amped but rarely actually improve performance and do nothing for hypertrophy
 
I don't take pre workout often, but when I do, I usually reach for Anadrol 😜
Definitely in for a good workout with that preworkout ;)
 
Pre's seem to have fallen off, they were once the rage. I usually try to hit up sales, pre's nowadays are around 50! My go to is Merica Labz red, white, boom Napalm, which I bought a ton of on their 4th sale. If I run out of that, I usually just pick up Nutrex outlift amped, basic and cheap. Would love to see some innovative new pre, but seems the market has shifted gears. Guess I am just old school or just old. Lol

I always have a good workout with SNS VasoForce Rush, however I only use it for my early morning workouts since it has Teacrine. It puts me in a great mood and the stim effect/mood boost lasts for a long time.

Muscle Addiction's Pump Addict Ultra Hardcore.

Pump Addict is by far my favorite.
the last couple weeks doing the sugar/fruit experiment I mixed it with cranberry juice and the results were 🔥 🔥
 
Food is the one true thing that works 100% of the time

food is good. I do well with certain carbs like rice, or fruit juice. But I enjoy the ritual of preWO. I like pounding one more shaker of water before dehyrating myself, I like the focus. ritual is a big part of my routine.
 
So that def sounds good and makes sense. So over the many years of training I have trained using supps and PWOs and I have also trained eating just food taking no vitamins and no Pre WOs , honestly, my results are the same, I feel just as good when just relying on food. Also I have found my body just reacts better with some caffeine or Yohimbine and some teacrine and some carb supplements like Karbolyn for example…. I think Pre Wos are vastly over rated and very much so placebo ( besides supps that have caffeine and carbs and sugars which you can just get from food ) . Currently at the moment I cut out all vitamins and all supplements and my sessions are just as good as when I used a pre wo, which tells me , my body personally don’t react well to basic supplements. I just started some stuff from apex yesterday so I’m sure that will give me a boost. But I think it’s all about the person the individual. A lot of people respond well to pWos and I think I’m one that don’t. I actually just gave away 3.5 bottles of stim free powders to a friend.
IMO pre workout supps are one of the biggest scams out there. The stimulant based ones may get a person amped up but I've yet to see any evidence equating that to long term gains. Even if they did those stims can be had for way cheaper than the pwo mix.
I think most guys jump immediately on the supplement wagon without learning how real foods make them feel or how they affect their performance in the gym.
I guess that is part of the culture though, I remember carbofuel and metabolol from way back in the 80s.
 
probably depends on you, your goals, your response, and the ingredients in the preWO as well as what you want from them. I find that the ingredients in Pump Addict contribute to greater focus for me. I might not do a line of preWO in the bathroom then go pull a 1k lb deadlift, but my focus is stronger and longevity in the session is good.

I wouldn't tell anyone not to use a preworkout if that works for them but so many guys jump on the supplement wagon without exploring real food. Not blaming them at all...I was one of them. The supplement companies jump on this and often imply without a preWO your workout won't be optimized and then over charge for their special mix. I agree with you if you are taking those supps anyway and in those doses then having them in one formula could be of benefit. Most guys, I think, would do just as well with a moderate dose of caffeine and quickly digestible carbs.

Haven't tried this one but Jym supplements have been around for awhile now. Need to pull the trigger and give it a shot.
