Weights up, scales down…

I was going to suggest if you went the bike route to just get an airdyne bike. I think if you are going the exercise bike route that is the way to go. You can do regular style bike riding or full body cardio using the hand grips as well. It is great for both HIIT, and LISS.
 
absolutely hate them with a passion. maybe more than med ball wallballs, bulgarian squats, and the real housewives of OC.
I don't enjoy them, they are hard work, but very effective for warming up the whole body quickly, or a nice HIIT session. What exactly do you hate about them?

its probably cause I raced competitively and I hate getting on bikes that don't replicate biking lol. they are effective, thats for sure. we did many wods with them. If I'm doing a wod, HIIT, or something like that they're fine, but I've never craved getting an arm and shoulder work out from a bike, lol

I can see that. Nothing about an airdyne bike will feel like BMX racing. I was more refering to an whole body warm up, or cardio session. Using the most muscle you can to burn the most calories in a session. You know the home gym approach, what one device will do the most for me.

Yeah, I can see that for sure, as mentioned though, I was looking at it from an efficiency lens. If i were doing steady state, I would likely just not use the handles and ride the bike. Not fun, but gets the job done. Obviously an elliptical or something would be better for an overall piece of cardio equipment. However a good one is costly. The cheaper ones stride paths suck azz!!!!
 
Hey guys sorry for the hiatus. Work was just nuts this summer with my sr engineer tearing his bicep.

The two kiddos are getting so big and are so active it’s a full time job just keeping up!

So anyway still grinding it out, I actually set up a half rack in the garage and been doing treadmill and pump circuit in the morning, then at night after kids go to bed me and the wife lifting a program.

Have made arrangements at work in April we will be moving out of the city back to the farm, over the summer we leveled and tore down a old building in the location we will be building are home.

So been busy, hope everyone has been doing good! Again sorry for the long hiatus!

I was a little shocked wasn’t sure how accommodating they where going to be with the idea.

They grow so fast and I swear change by the day 😢 happy and sad all in one.

I thought falling asleep on the couch watching futurama with my newborn was the greatest thing ever.
Now I have a 16yr old who speaks in futurama quotes and sends me instagram memes of cars, lifting, fails, food, and conservative principles. I can vouch for the idea that it just gets better! I'd say my 16yr old is one of my favorite bros-

Got wings in the brine to smoke today. Got some finger paint activities lined up for the kiddos should be a good day!

It’s going to be a lot of work and probably a couple years to complete honestly. But come march we will move down going to get the fifth wheel setup for the meantime. Also my parents have a huge place so if it’s to tight of quarters with the kiddos we might just set them up in the spare rooms in the main house.

Pretty excited about it, have some cattle lined up when we get there so we can start a small herd, mostly for are own meat. Mom and dad already have chickens but plan to add more with us being there.

Lot of plans and work ahead that’s for sure but definitely ready for it 💪🏻

💯 💯 💯 same here. when our schedule and life shifted in a way that lead to us training together less frequently and then basically never together (we will on vacation and probably once or twice a year now regular) it really bothered me and felt like a drift apart since it was a staple in our dating phase but we actually are so connected at the hip now with everything else we do all the time that my lifting sessions are pretty much my only alone time now lol. I do like when we can lift together, but I also like being able to put my headphones on and have selfish time not dependent on socializing in any way while lifting.

I feel like I have a pencil neck 😂 and I have always disliked how my forearms look size wise. So yes working on hitting those quite frequently.


This am short on time as pouring concrete early.
