Slicin' and Dicin'

Broke last nights fast with a combination of roast beef, chicken, and veggies. Woke up at exactly the same weight I broke my fast with. 1 more lb to go. I was hoping to throw down some immediate 2 a days and see how fast I could put a bow on this challenge/goal but going to have lunch with my boy today (pick up from high school) and lift tonight so that I'm free tomorrow night for his first track meet.


As far as the scale goes, down 13lbs so far.

Woke up a bit leaner at just a stitch over 190. I can tell strength is down but feeling good for a 13lb loss.

Lunch with my boy today (pizza hut) so I actually did splurge on the naked boneless chicken wings to try to maximize meat options, zero pizza, and slammed a bag of pretzels to get a few carbs preWO.

he's getting there. He's kinda like my youngest brother who should be playing pro sports right now. TONS of natural gifts but not a lot of real competitive drive, at least not from my perspective. Whereas I was always very very driven in sports but not necessarily naturally gifted. I ordered him a shotput on amazon but they sent me a 16lb and he throws 12lb.... so I was like..... hey not bad, throw the 16 fifty times a night and see how that helps your 12lb throw!

Actually, yeah, that 16 lbs shot put will only make him better to train with. That extra 4 lbs will make a world of difference.💪

its heavy, I gave it a couple chucks and threw it like 30+ ft. But my form is trash, I haven't legit tried to throw a shot put in like 26 years lol. It does make me wonder how far I could throw a 12 though with proper form.

Was headed to driving range while listening to the Cutler podcast with Heath and decided to miss my turn and hit the gym instead to try to push this thing over the finish line.

Heath and Cutler were talking about how stairs were one of their favorites for cutting so I figured may as well toss them in again.

Another thing thats going on is I really want to figure out how to make eggs work nutritionally on this cut (I realize it's obvious they do, I just want to balance fat macros, I'll likely have to keep carbs low for a while to make it work).

Our chickens this week went from 2-3 eggs a day, to a whopping 9 eggs yesterday. we are in full spring/summer production mode and that's a lot of protein available. I hard boiled 15 last night. Of course I forgot to bring them to work, but I like having them made in advance for snacks both at home and at work. I'm not someone who gets tired of eating the same food to be honest. The only things I ever really crave when on a cut is a great burger, and corn chips (not potato).

Anyone ever read that book Blink? about knowing something in a tenth of a second (blink of an eye) but not knowing why you know it?

I walked into the gym today and there was this 300lb black dude, yoked as hell, sitting in my normal spot and my spider senses went off. I knew to give him a wide berth even though he wasn't acting out. Its not a racism thing, I'm the only white guy at my other gym. it's a vibe thing.

I interacted with him a bit in the gym, trading machines/equipment with a bro thumbs up etc. I get on the stairs for 20 minutes and at 19 minutes this little middle eastern dude from across the gym somehow flipped him $hit because he turns around and slaps the guy hard enough to knock his hat and headphones off 😂 😂

Immediately this 145lb 5'9" dude throws his fist in the air like he's going full Mike Tyson against Mr 300lbs 6'2" 😂😂😂

My stairmaster hit 20 mintues and tried to shut down so Immediately added a minute so as not to be interrupted, this was a good show and no commercial breaks in sight.

The big dude I'm certain was not a southpaw, but he took one hard swing with his left, connected straight onto the guys eye and rocked his world, then everyone tried to break it up. I wanted to yell FINISH HIM!! as the scrimmage started to wind down I took a second to think. I've been in and seen enough fights that I don't want to be naked in the locker room and all the sudden the fight continues and bodys swinging everywhere lol.

anyways I get dressed, the little guy is nowhere to be seen and the big black dude now has three cop cars surrounding him in the parking lot. he's not in cuffs, for now its just talking but I have a feeling unless he can really talk his way out of this one he's going to end up with assault/battery charges which sucks because I know the guy he socked, and he's a wormy little $hit that deserved it.

fun day at the gym tho. this one is such a cesspool. this stuff never happens in the Tacoma gym. it's all legit meatheads grinding and bangin' hot chicks from every age group doing their booty bridges.

Took my wife out last night for this little oyster fest thing, we didn't have a lot and kept portions moderate, then came home and had more hard boiled eggs. woke up at 190 today so I'm feeling pretty good.

I almost got into it with a dude last year when he was monopolizing a couple machines, I asked if I could work in and he said he only had one set left. after like his third set, he's still sitting there, on his phone and I'm like, can you count? or do you not know what a set is?

For time economy, I threw in the hang power cleans instead of shrugs and BB Rows today. Not an exact crossover but I thought it would get some trap engagement and a little explosive training.

Consistency has been excellent in March. My check-ins don't acct for the 2-a-days that happened a number of times as well.

I have also been loving Theo Vaughn's About Last Weekend. Highly entertaining, hilarious and good quality, he has really come up a lot with his podcast. Joe was even giving him flowers the last time he was on.

People keep mentioning him, I might have to give him a try! the cutler podcast and also CT Fletchers documentary have been helping me through cardio lately.

and thanks! I feel like I'm in the sweet spot now, we've I've created some momentum. If I can hold myself accountable with cardio output and nutritional discipline, then things are really going to go well. I'd like to spend the next two weeks grinding hard because I have a boys weekend with my son that i know will include questionable food choices. we will likely hit the gym once as a drop in but mostly its going to be boys time, movie marathons, video games and go karts. I just can't let it set me back before beach season hits.

I don't feel conceited saying that because I don't have near this definition today, this was a different person, really. this guy was under fed and trained 2+ hours a day. (and competed)

You were definitely cut there…..with the extra muscle you’ve added since, when you get that lean again, you will look bigger than your scale weight, because you look around 190 there, but I know you said you were in the 170s, so just imagine how big you’ll look in the 180s that lean.💪👍

I've cut back PEDs to ONLY on lifting days.
Half tab (12.5mg) anavar and 1 capsule (300mg) Epiandro this week. I feel WAY better at a more moderate dose.

If it doesn’t give you heartburn I would reeeeeeeally consider taking some var when fasting.

Bigger than the minute hypertrophy you possibly stand to gain from your fed training right now, Var is going to help PRESERVE markedly more muscle when used in a deficit. Both Tren and Var are unique from all other studied steroids in this glucocorticoid inhibition, and it’s their greatest asset to physique enhancement. All steroids can help grow new tissue, but no others help you keep what you already have so well. And being in a cut is not about gaining tissue as preserving while you strip the fat off.

12.5mg would be plenty for that anti-catabolic benefit when fasting I spoke of.

Plenty of guys do get anxious or aggressive on Var. Many barely notice anything on it, but some will be decidedly wired up.

It also doesn’t help you’re becoming suppressed without testosterone. That is very important for wellbeing; low testosterone is often associated with anxiety in men. It will likely jive better some day if you’re on TRT while using it.

I said I skipped cardio, but once I got home I finished my wifes raised beds for her garden, first lawn mowing of the year, and then finally got the new fish tank filled with water which mean 130 gallons of salt water, mixed one five gallon bucket at a time then transfered to tank. that took about 3 hours by itself.

I have tbol in stock, haven't used it yet, and there is 1 dhea in the gear cream I ran last summer. I am not familiar with lgd. A part of me is thinking its time to cool it on the PED's until I decide to really get serious on the TRT though. Kleen and I talked about it a lot this summer and he and I came to the conclusion I'm likely on my last few potential runs before I could face real issues, and Hyde's comments above also make a great deal of sense. Usually I hate winding down a run but right now I'm honestly looking forward to a fully natty run for a while. I have a lot of stock on anabolic effect and I'm about to get some more alpha one and carnitine from Steve.

The new monster deck we built over Jan/Feb. Once we have a good solid week of dry weather (could be as late as June or July tbh, we'll see) I have to sand and stain it.

aggression still generally doesn't bother me, I've noticed a few times on a big epi run when all the sudden every driver on i5 is pissing me off, then I realize it and sorta laught it off. but yeah anxiety sucks!

I have tbol in stock, haven't used it yet, and there is 1 dhea in the gear cream I ran last summer. I am not familiar with lgd. A part of me is thinking its time to cool it on the PED's until I decide to really get serious on the TRT though. Kleen and I talked about it a lot this summer and he and I came to the conclusion I'm likely on my last few potential runs before I could face real issues, and Hyde's comments above also make a great deal of sense. Usually I hate winding down a run but right now I'm honestly looking forward to a fully natty run for a while. I have a lot of stock on anabolic effect and I'm about to get some more alpha one and carnitine from Steve.
I like T bol….it’s a good performance steroid, and definitely dry gains like @GreenMachineX said. Looks like you’ve got you a good “Honey Do” list for the Spring. Although I know it’s for you too. Raised flower beds and deck looking good, and my wife and I love fish, so definitely want to see your big salt water tank when finished.😎👍
 
Man something about yesterdays session tore me up. I'm SORE today. I said I skipped cardio, but once I got home I finished my wifes raised beds for her garden, first lawn mowing of the year, and then finally got the new fish tank filled with water which mean 130 gallons of salt water, mixed one five gallon bucket at a time then transfered to tank. that took about 3 hours by itself.

Gotcha; makes sense. Have you run a testosterone panel free and total recently?

na, I figured I would if I got serious about the TRT route. For now I'm leaning heavily towards a more natty lifestyle for a while. As much as I deny aging, being 42 now I am gaining a sense that I might be wise to work towards staying leaner as much as possible because the cuts do seem to be getting harder and the skin less elastic. so for now I'm leaning towards seeing what I can still accomlish with a more natty protocol.

Oh yeah…the skin elasticity definitely is an issue. I have some incredible stretch marks and loose skin. I debate getting it fixed…along with the gyno.

Edit: But I hear ya on staying leaner. It’s time. Still have a ways to go here. My goal is probably just to get to 34 inch jeans which I haven’t worn in 15 years 😂

For the record, it’s only like $50 for the best test when you decide to go that route. Not expensive.

I noticed on this cut that while I could force the scale down fast, it would take a few days or longer for the spare tire area to feel like it was tightening up and I know that as the years go by, that will be harder and harder so it's just sorta driving the idea into me that getting leaned and tightened up now is probably not a bad idea. Plus like Hyde mentioned in his thread as well, shirts are feeling better... slacks I bought when I was bulking up to 200+ are now fitting pretty loose. My wife got me this new gym hoodie for Christmas that I love but its a little tight so normally I only wear it at home but last week was able to throw it on comfortably at the gym.

Like, I fully accept I could get down to say 183-180 and regret a loss of strength or size in the arms and get a hankering to go back up but for now, I'm feeling pretty motivated to get leaner again.
 
Definitely get a FULL blood panel in the future homie. Not anytime soon since you’re on orals buuuut…. Time to see where everything lands, if just for the sake of knowing.
 
Fasted cardio

Bike - 15min
Incline treadmill - 25min
Stairs -10min

Total 50min



Notes
Knees super sore/stiff today but at the moment I think it's just tightness in the quads and calves from yesterday's lower work.

Goal was to start easy on bike and treadmill to see if it would loosen things up enough for a stairs push.

I really think taking steroids/SARMs without a serious plan to be on TRT soon is asking for regret. One of the worst things about the OTC designer hormone era was the way it made androgen use feel casual. Now 1-2 decades later, look at all the guys who needed TRT who wouldn’t have otherwise chose it. But Superdrol, Xtren, etc…

I don’t really fit that demographic, but I pity those who didn’t understand.

GH btw, if money is not tight, is great to increase skin elasticity (and fatloss). It naturally declines by 30 and on, which is why clinics often prescribe 1-2iu daily if patients have the scratch. And it’s not suppressive. You can take a shot before bed and by the following evening you will produce your own again if you don’t administer that night.
