Woke at 0420 to drive 2 hours to Charlotte for my trip to Seattle today, 0421 I get an email saying my flights delayed 3 hours, that's fine, I'll sleep more. 0422, I get an email saying I'll miss my connector, I need to schedule a new flight or cancel. Next flight is tomorrow with an 8 hour layover, at least it's in Denver, I'll take the train in and hit some breweries. Dick heads won't cover the cost of the extra day of my rental car though because it was an airport issue, not theirs, and Priceline won't because I didn't pay for the insurance. What a crock of ****. Lost my seats on the new flight so **** it, I'm flying first class.

So anyways, looking forward to killing it in the gym today.

it's so weird how our lives are like... sorta connected in the Kevin bacon sense with my best friend since age 9 being over there at Bragg, and he and I both being from farms outside of Seattle, and now you coming back out to the PNW from the Braggish area lol

so when I was flying home from AZ last month my uber from airport to house (mom and dads place) was $85. (surge pricing from airport). so I prescheduled an uber for 4 days later from house to airport for only $40.
as the uber was on it's way to pick me up weds morning I log into the alaska airlines app and find out we have a 2 hr delay... well... uber is almost here, so we may as well just go and kill time at the airport.
we get to the airport and they delay it 2 more times... I swear Alaska Airlines is the worst airline in the nation right now.

They used to be amazing! But yeah they suck ass now. I really wanted to fly into Payne field but holy hell it's expensive. At least now, I won't be driving through Seattle north in rush hour.

Mom and dad typically only keep 5-10 these days, just enough that we get to butcher one or two every summer lol. But my brother just picked up a small farm down the road where his wife is running a farm school, and he's raising minis now. now for food, but I guess they sell for massive bucks so he's partnering up with some breeders and running a few on his farm now. My wife and i mostly just raise chickens (and ducks, dogs, fish lol)

word. I have this craving to hang out in some of my old areas of Seattle but it's really hard to motivate to make the drive these days. I used to go into the city twice a week for rock shows but now days i'm probably there 6 times a year tops lol

I don't think he's dumb enough to move back to what's left of washington, he escaped and saw the greater potential beyond our over taxed, traffic dominated, shithole of a sanctuary drug induced criminal hideout.

I will say, the gun laws are still better than most states I've been too. At least they used to be.

Yeah that I understand that. When my parents retired and moved from Alaska to the states, I was still up there it was long periods between family visits.

as I read that all I can think about is the piles and piles of 30round mags (and one 50round drum mag) my buddies and I bought up before they got banned, and the AR i bought my step son the month before they got banned......... lol

my brother has a friend who is a fisherman up there, so he joins him from time to time for fishing or hunting (we have had some killer halibut and cod hook-ups) and the stories are very very very much the wild wild west.

That's why I wanted to end up there, it's the last frontier. As I get older, I'm like **** it... that's a lot of work and I'm not getting younger

Alaska was really cool when we went in summertime, and I loved the constant daylight…but I could never tolerate the opposite in winter. Nevermind the cold and snow, that can be nice in its own way if you’re well prepared. But the months of darkness? Nahhhhh.

Catching up, but I heard 525# for rack pulls (my back hurt just thinking about it) and something about looking forward to 4 dicks?!
 
they opened one up down here in Kent and Fed Way finally.
we used to always get some 2am dicks after concerts in the city and the line was still around the block. best dollar dicks in town though. you'd see people getting three, four, five dicks a night.

I've put so much Dicks in my mouth. Amazing. There's one up my way now on the Lynnwood/Everett border. Back in the day, I drove to the Northgate one with no brakes in a mustang with a car full of people, from Lake Stevens lmfao. Anything to put dicks in my mouth hole.

years ago when I was running smolov jr squat program I would reward myself with a double quarter pounder at mcD's every weekend postWO. we didn't have so many dicks back then though. I could see getting some dicks in me after a hard squat session though since it's right down the road now. #recoverymeat
 
Just checking in. Working around the farm has been kicking my ass, haven't even gone into a local gym for a formal training session lol. Not sure why I brought my gym attire! A fun part, supplements are still sitting on the kitchen counter back in NC, so that'll be fun to jump back into. Been eating very well, and drinking has been to a minimum until tomorrow night. Heading back home Sunday night, it'll be bitter sweet. Some family drama here has me on edge, and back at my house the future ex wife has emptied it of her belongings and everything we are not keeping. That'll be weird to go back to, but the house lists in 13 days and I can at least put in an offer on a new place, contingent on the sale o my own.

I'm aliiiiiive! Travels home were a damn nightmare, lots of delayed flights. Remarkably dehydrated and malnourished. Today I had to finally bring my truck in to the body shop from the accident in January, I asked for a small truck for my moving stuff, they gave me a Ram 1500 for a month 😂 Nice truck, still not a Dodge person.

Back into training tomorrow, starting off light, it's been 2 weeks since I trained well so I'm going to move back into it lightly. House lists in 1 week, I intend on offering a heavy contingent offer on the place I want with a decent amount of earnest money, always looking for advice there lol. I've been following along on the forum, I know everyone's been mostly well, and eager to regularly contribute again, seeing the family was an OK recharge, but training and commiserating with like minds is more my style.
 
Limit time with the folks, train hard, dodge sucks. There's nothing about your come back I don't like

Ironically I've worked with my dad every day since I was like 16, I do love it but I'm a total introvert otherwise who's content to live mostly alone in the woods

I refer to myself as an extroverted introvert. I get along with people, but it kills me inside lol. Never did get my Dicks 😢
