Merry Christmas everyone, I actually hate Christmas and pretty much every holiday for that matter "no clue why honestly" but it's not about me. It's about the kids, and maybe about the grandkids for some of you old bastards. Maybe some of you getting to see your family and friends only a few times a year or whatever and whoever else is important in your life.

Hope everyone has a great night and a good day tomorrow too. Don't drink too much and even if your staying sober pay attention for the drunk drivers on the road and be safe

Soooo yesterday I felt good in the morning, got up, shake, hit the gym, got myeals in, 200pro and 2700 calories And then I woke up at 130am sick as can be. Threw up on and off for 3 hours and now I just feel sick. 🤦 Today should be the real day 1 as last week was just kinda a trial run but I'm probably gonna stick to mostly liquids and skip the gym today. I just tried to eat a slice of toast and a orange and it was hard to keep it down.

Goal for the day is rest and try my best to hit my calories and protein for the day.
 
I just waited in line for 45min for a gift card and some crafts at a craft store. Then I had to go to a restaurant for some gift cards and now heading to Walmart for a Walmart gift card.

And idk what else after that lol
You know you can just get a visa gift card for all of that and they get to use it anywhere they want? Or was that what one of the 4 fights was about? :)

Gym lighting are way better anyway. Go get a good pump and take like 3-4 pictures in 3-4 different poses. You will end up with a bunch to choose from. Take the picture slightly too far away because your gonna have to crop it so it's gonna zoom in on itself when you crop it.

Or even better bring someone with you to snap a couple pictures.

Just don't walk into the locker room all sweaty and ask some dude to take pictures of you half naked.

That might not go over too well. You're either going to end up with a black eye or a new boyfriend 😂😆😂
Another option any of you should have if you have Windows is Paint 3d, open the file in there and hit the canvas tab and you can shrink the entire file to whatever size and resolution you want.

Taking pictures of yourself is not easy, that's why I always just take a front straight on picture like your first one. At least that way I can consistently see changes in that picture.

It's way easier and more flattering when you have someone who knows how to take good photos.

I can get the basic idea tho, your in good shape keep it going. How tall are you?
I tend to prop the phone up then just either use the timer delay option or on my Samsung I just say Shoot or Cheese and the phone takes a pic.
I'm guessing there was probably an issue at one time or maybe they put that up before so an issue wouldn't occur. It's weird because most pictures you see of dudes are in the locker room after training

She didn't want to do visa gift cards because she said they charge you get hit with when you buy them for like 5.99 or 8.99 per card?

And I don't know how that even matters because I'm buying it not her. So ya lol, it kinda did play a role in one of the fights.

I gotta be honest, me and her fight over everything. If you disagree with or prove her wrong in any way it starts a full blown war.

She's got this thing where she has to slightly exaggerate everything with a little lie because she tried to tilt everything slightly in her favor.

Say we were going to get that gift card and it's a 2.99 charge she will say it's 4.99.
If you ask her to go do something that took 5 min she will say it was 9min.

If it costs $43 to fill her gas tank she will say it's 55.

She has to tell white lies about everything and she completely knows she's doing it but will play stupid. It's always harmless but annoying as ****. She's also bipolar (which I think most females are lol) and slightly ocd too.

I wonder what the penalty would be if she saw this lol

coffee, 4 whole eggs, 4 strips of bacon, and some ketchup.

So far I'm holding that down, bad heard burn and acid reflux probably from puking last night and I'm kinda dehydrated feeling

She has some bad habits and even if she wanted to chill out with the white lies she’s going to do it sometimes just habitually. If it’s any consolation, all of our women have some kind of issues as well - they’re humans too

Ya she's been this way since I met her 19 years ago. It's not changing. And if you call her out on her little lies she has a meltdown. My daughter calls her out on it all the time and it's a immediate war.

She has 3 sisters and the mother and all 4 daughters are exactly the same.
 
I have such a hard time not calling out the little white lies and exaggerations. It gives me a twitch not to say something. LOL However, we all have our little things we do that drive others nuts. Finding the right mix of fight it or fuggit is the only way to make things work. Plenty of people who have strenuous relationships with the truth, and many times I don't even think they realize they are doing it until they have to cover for it. Just pops out like an unexpected burp, so what are ya gonna do?

Yea they make us crazy trust me my wife would drive me up the walls sometimes but then she would just give me a certain look and I would melt and that's when she would pounce and wrap me around her little finger lol

On another note, something is still wrong with me. No fever or covid but I'm tired, kinda weak feeling and very unmotivated. Over the past 3 days I look like I've lost 10lbs of muscle and gained 10lbs of fat, obviously that's not possible so I'm guessing I'm bloated, face is kinda fat looking, like dbol moon face I guess. Zero motivation to go to the gym or the boxing gym. I'm giving it a few more days but something is just off.

Only things I can make note of are my sleep schedule has dramatically changed, but if anything I'm sleeping more. I just don't go to bed as early and I get up later. I haven't been on top of my trt schedule. I mean I'm taking it but not 0.2ml eod like I'm supposed to. I been missing days here and there but I been doing sub q so it shouldn't be too much of a difference. And I did realize I'm drinking about 1/2 gallon of water less per day but I'm not drenched in sweat at work all day now so that shouldn't be a huge deal either.

Also, I do get seasonal depression and my feet have been bad lately. I'm wondering if it's just a combination of a bunch of little things and stress.

Like the change in sleep patterns, being a little sick and seasonal depression could all be just making me feel like I don't wanna do anything. Drinking less water and missing shots and not being as a tive during the day could be making me retain fluid.

The visual appearance seems to be more noticeable to me then anyone else but I did have someone agree my face seems a little bloated and I'm not myself lately from a energy and motivation stand point.

My girl is useless in helping with making assessments like this because if I say anything negative about my own appearance she says it's body dysmorphia. Basically because she's not into fitness stuff, anyone who looks decent and isn't happy with how they look is being rediculous. And she prefers me to be fatter, she acts like I'm more attractive when I'm big and puffy and when I'm lean and vascular she acts like she doesn't like it as much.

In reality she wants me fat so other girls aren't looking. Like, 100% that's the real reason lol

Seems like the week or two before Christmas a lot of people on this board and in my personal life were reporting knowing someone close or themselves getting the ‘Vid. It was definitely spiking pre-holiday festivities even.

They guy who did my diet and stuff actually suggested this too. Basically said I'm always working on some kind of goal or whatever and he thinks I just burn myself out in general. His actual suggestion was to stop planning stuff out for a while. **** the diet and **** boxing. Eat whatvyiu want and workout when you want and when the motivation comes back then get to work.

It's great to plan ahead but when everything is planned and your sticking to a bunch of rules for too long it socks the fun out-of everything.

Makes sense to me.

I mean if you have a goal and a deadline you do have to do all the work on schedule, or it simply won’t get done. And there will be points where you won’t want to do it, and you must do it anyway. That is the reality of prep. Lots of things that are no longer fun, but work to get the final result.

If you aren’t locked into anything, then you can just back off. Relax and watch some movies and wait until the hunger strikes to get back into the gym.

Ya I have no deadlines, and there is no prep. Even when I have deadlines it's because I set the deadlines. I haven't committed anything to anyone other then myself. I'm also not one to half ass **** so do I really wanna half ass a cut when I paid someone, not really. This guy knows me pretty good, he doesn't want me half ass doing stuff. So it's probably better I pump the breaks before we start then do it half way through
 
Well this would be a prep of sorts, but there is no deadline to be met outside of me wanting to fight. And training for various fight with no motivation makes even less sense. I think I'm pulling the plug on the entire month of Jan. Not completely, IL still adhere to the basics but not pushing it till I feel like it.

Really sucks because I thought having time off from work would help. But I'm burnt-out I think.

Nooooo, I anything IL loose weight. When I train less I eat less and i shrink. IL probably loose muscle too but I won't get fat. Honestly I have to force feed garbage to really get fat.

I’ve experienced that myself, but back right before Thanksgiving I had been feeling bad, got tested nothing, then the next day started running a high fever went back, and I had the flu. And that flu was way worse than COVID for us. The whole house caught it eventually.

It was harder on my wife than me, but I normally don’t get sick. But I’ve had COVID and the flu over the last couple of months. Hopefully we’re through getting sick.🙏
 
Hate to hear of the malaise but if you are indeed suffering burnout the time down will help.
 
Damn bro well I guess chill out for a minute. I've taken this whole week off from thr gym and it's Thursday and I'm already kind of getting the itch, my plan wasn't to go back till Tuesday but now I'm thinking maybe I'll start this weekend so its been working plus I know it's rebound time and that's exciting I guess
 
I'm just getting caught up now. Good to see everyone giving their support!

Our kiddos have all been sick this last week (their first week of winter break, so no school missed, so that's a blessing). My wife and I both got flu shots a few weeks ago, so we are barely feeling anything.

Knowing you, Smont, I imagine it won't take you long to get the itch to get back in there and find your motivation again. If you really want it back though I think all you gotta do is make it a competition in some way, I know that competing dials up the drive for you in a big way.

We could all pitch in and help, just tell Smont how you're gonna beat him at some fitness goal and he'll be back in the gym twice a day before you know it! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
 
What's everyones plans for tonight? I'm staying home, cooking steaks and pork tenderloins and probably falling asleep by 10pm lol
 
Alright gentleman ( and @Hyde ) rebound starts tomorrow time to take a break from the drugs and cardio and let the food and weights do their job
