Hello im uneducated about the subject and have a little question so I heard people say you lose the muscles you made when you stop taking steroids but the thing is when cycling you have to stop taking it for the same amount of time you took it so won’t you lose muscles during that period? What can be done to avoid losing muscles post cycle

It's part of the process, when you first come off cycle, first ppl will loose a lot of weight they thought was muscle but it's not, it's water and glycogen that was loaded in the muscle making the muscle appear bigger. It's not actually muscle and you can't keep that.

Say on cycle you gained 20lbs, a few weeks after pct you kept 7-8. The 7-8 is most likely the actual muscle built and the weight you lost was fluff. During your time off your goal is to eat to maintain that weight and train as hard as you can. If your lucky you will hold on to 3-5lbs of it by the time your ready to start the next cycle. Now you go into your next cycle 3-5lbs ahead of the previous one and repeat.

At the end of a year if your doing things right you will have added about 10lbs of actual muscle tissue.

Obviously if it's your first cycle you will gain more but that's about average.

Even blasting and cruising guys gain about 10lbs of muscle per year, the more muscle you build the harder to maintain and that's why some guys will need to cruise.

10lbs may not sound like a lot but it's a ton. Imagine 5 years from now you had a extra 50lbs of muscle on your body.

Think of what a lb of steak looks like, now picture 50 of them lol

For optimal progress you want to bulk or cut on cycle and maintain when off cycle.

Before you start your first cycle a good idea is the get as lean as possible, higher bodyfat usually means more side effects.

Once your lean, start your cycle and bulk, it doesn't mean get fat, just slowly increasing calories as needed. After your cycle you continue to eat for whatever your new maintenance calories are.

Once you ran a few cycles and have built some muscle you might wanna cut down and get shredded. Then you pct and try to maintain again.

A couple important things. Don't cut during PCT, that's a terrible idea.

Don't let your bodyfat get out of control

And don't fall off track when your off cycle.
