A lot of co will be doing that to remain on nasdaq
@louLou on the squeeze today: “it’s all coming to an end”
Get your popcorn ready!
Thats a good point for sure, I have no doubts shares were flipped back and forth between hedgfunds.Seems to me if the big claim is that 1.25 billion shares were 'sold' in single day, you also need to know how many were bought in a single day. Why doesn't anyone talk about that? Because for all we know it could have been the same ONE share bought and sold over and over by a computer algorithm to influence markets.
I don't think this method of "guessing" synthetic shares proves anything at all, especially since it never seems to ignite the big mega squeeze that we were promised would occur when the SEC got involved.
Still hoping Lou comes through eventually, or that maybe there is something to the mysterious tweets from AA about early August.....
Agreed.... I think the FTD'S are a far more useful piece of informationThats a good point for sure, I have no doubts shares were flipped back and forth between hedgfunds.
In combination with all the 10s of millions of FTD's on single days we start to mold a better picture, and I believe more concrete evidence came out on GME for the same time period so I have no doubts sythetics exist, I just dunno how much nor can we truly conclude on how much.
Its ok, rumor is the White House redefined what a recession is so we are not in a recession because they say so. In other news, the reason its a sea of red is all because of Putin hahahahaaasea of blood

Lou is pimping Sundial as the next play after AMC, don't cha know....
Yes he still is but for a long while the delisting was a concern, now its game on. Everyone jump in after AMC pops. He is convinced there are far more synthetics than AMC...still ?
i remember he was doing it earlier this year .. once i heard him say "buying SNDL bc i can buy alot of shares bc price is low"
i stopped listening to him lol
That's exactly my concern. They can hold their short as long as I'm allowed to hold my long, right?i believe all that and i do think and believe there are over 10B synthetic shares .. but same ? remains , will they return those shares this lifetime ? lol
Difference being it is at a interest cost to them and no interest to us. Right now average cost to borrow the past couple of months has been around 10% and remaining up there, compared to the 1-2% it was most of this year. That's exactly my concern. They can hold their short as long as I'm allowed to hold my long, right?
Gotcha. I'm hoping we see some price action on next earnings statement...AA pounce!Difference being it is at a interest cost to them and no interest to us. Its costing them alot of money for these plays they cant win, the economy is tanking and the pressure is more than last year. Doesnt mean that will trigger the squeeze we are looking for but we can discuss whats happening and make decisions from there. Im holding for the foreseeable future, if I have to wait until 2024-2025 to make half a million bucks I think Ill forget about all the turmoil I went through, but thats me wishing a dream to come true.
Doesn't the economy tanking actually HELP them win?? Think about it.... they short a low value, market trends down as economy tanks, and they hit their low short and collect.Difference being it is at a interest cost to them and no interest to us. I definitely missed out on all those prices, but my average is around $10, so I'm still up. Granted, I only have a couple hundred shares so if I cash out now, it's not the gains I'm looking for. I'll be honest though, my "moon or zero" mentality is gone. My diamond hands arent too diamondy anymore.Doesn't the economy tanking actually HELP them win?? The cost to us is hodling as the value of our long goes from 70 to 50 to 30 to 15. In the time value of money, we are losing more/faster than their 10% annual
There are alot of hedgfunds shorting AMC, if their long positions tank to a certain point they get margin called. Then they have to meet the requirements. I guess if they are really good and shorting most of the market along the way I guess they will be just fine so maybe Im both right and wrong depending on how each hedgefund plays this out. I would assume you only need a few to fail to kick things off on AMC to trigger a domino effect, hedgfunds to fall to oblivion all the time as far as I know.Doesn't the economy tanking actually HELP them win?? You gotta do you, this aint Reddit at least, I dont think nobody is going to troll you on your financial decisions here lol.I definitely missed out on all those prices, but my average is around $10, so I'm still up. Yeah, this community is much better then reddit . The truth is personal finances just aren't where they should be and it might force me to sell my shares and crypto before the appropriate time. Oh well. Still holding for now.You gotta do you, this aint Reddit at least, I dont think nobody is going to troll you on your financial decisions here lol.
I can live with losing my bet, but I cant live with losing out on a play thats hasnt shown any sings of closing out. Thats just me though. If I hear anything then I cash out, pay BamBam and move on
Yeah Im not doing crazy great either but not bad. Business has slowed down since Covid where I had a serious boom in online sales which put me in position to play alot of cheese in the market. Now that cheese is frozen there for the time being because thats my choice. Plus just dropped a couple gran for Ammo before these New York laws kick in and make my sporting hobby even more expensive lol. I need to buy a new driveway too which is another $6k+.Yeah, this community is much better then reddit . Yeah, I keep getting in my head I should sell the odd number of shares and buy the crypto dip. Not a whole lot of stocks from that $10 AMC era that are even still in the green these days, at least just about all the ones I had played which primarily were social media pushed stocks such as NIO, Palantir, Lucid, etc….. I think every one of them is red lolYeah, I keep getting in my head I should sell the odd number of shares and buy the crypto dip. That would leave me with 200 shares.
