My first cycle consists of 375mg test e 16 weeks, my goal is to bulk up to 100kg from 85 kg which means 1kg gain per week approx, should I eat in a 1000calorie surplus from the beginning? or should I taper up the calories for example 500 first week 1000third week so on

Theoretically my tdee would increase as I gain weight so will pro have to increase more than the initial 1000calorie surplus, planning to add 100calorie calorie surplus each kg weight gain

Keep in mind you can't gain 15kg of muscle mass in 16 weeks. People don't even put that on in a year. You can gain the weight eating enough but only a portion is going to be muscle tissue. If you are going for pure strength building I'd let that drive your diet and how much of a calorie surplus you are in.

I think I read somewhere that at 400mg a week of test the average person gains 1 oz of actual muscle weight a day........ So in 16 weeks that's 7 lbs (3.2kg) If you sleep a LOT and eat a very clean high calorie diet you might be able to get 10-12 lbs (5-6kg) at the most.

Sure you can gain 10kg on your first cycle but 2/3 of that weight will be blood and water. 3kgs will be muscle...... Which is a great gain of muscle......
Does that mean I should eat calorie surplus for 10kg gain or 3kg

your over thinking it.

keep it simple.

you want to bulk... start calories at your body weight x 18-19 what ever your total is start there. over feeding WILL result in fat accrual with or without steronz

so if you are 200 lbs. start at about 3800 calories. if more is needed fine but that should be a good starting point for a lot of people except hard gainers. hard gainers have only one options imo... thats to force in so much food per day that you have to drop a couple giant heapin steamers everyday. that means GIANT sh!7s. toilet plugger sh17s !! wrinkle neck brown trouts!~

Honestly I would need to know your age, what type of metabolism you have etc..... As long as you get 1 gram of protein per kg of body weight and at least 100grams of carbs a day you SHOULD grow. Frank Zane achieved his fitness goals at 2000 calories a day. I'm not saying to only eat 2000 calories a day but 2000 clean calories will get you better gains than 4000 calories of fast food and/or sugary foods.

In 27 years of training my body I have learned that the timing of WHEN you eat WHAT can have a big influence as well.

Sleep is a big factor too...... Every extra hour of sleep you get a day will allow you to recover faster, hence GROW faster.

If you wanna gain 15kg in 1 cycle your gonna put on a lot of fat and water. Anything over 1 lb per week is typically going to be fat or water or fuel storage

I wouldn't even start him that high in calories, but I 100% agree that he's over thinking it, and setting unrealistic expectations for himself

I don't for a second believe Zane built any muscle on 2000 calories, that was more likely the tail end of his contest prep diet.

I'm not coming at you or anything like that, I just don't believe any of the stuff they use to say they did, they often sensationalized everything in the golden era. I would waste away slowly on 2000 calories per day of clean nutrient dense food

In addition how much protein should be consumed per day on cycle? 1g/lbs BW or 2g
