so I guess people are smoking blue lotus now (for me in the USA, this is the first i've heard of it). I heard about someone getting a bad reaction to joint, so I thought I'd look into it a bit.
first off, I guess theres two blue lotuses

the one this is about is the Egyptian lotus Nymphaea caerulea. Concern #1 did you get the right blue lotus?
The only USA state to ban it is to be Louisiana afaik

Per wikipedia, it's illegal in Latvia and Poland too.
this blue lotus is supposed to have two psychoactive components: Apomorphine and Nuciferine
What I find really weird is that it seems like it's not recommended to ingest? considered poisonous maybe? I couldn't find it in any poisonous plant database though. I thought if it's not safe to eat, its not safe to smoke?
So, thoughts?
