That is funny, I do think he is the right direction at least and have kids learning skills thats going to prep them up for success rather than this social justice warrior bullshyt. Not to say we shouldnt learn history, but critical race theory is a complete waste of time.
Dont ask me why I feel about it that way, I dont even know what the fuq it is, RRROOFFFFFLLLLLLLL!!!!!!
In my school, I barely learnt about Maori history and the treaty of Waitangi and have been playing catch up for years.
Learning about the uncomfortable parts of history is part of understanding the world around you. Not everything taught in school has to be a practical skill - some of it should be helping us develop an understanding of our world (immediate and broader), our critical thinking and social skills.
As an example, if you have an understanding of how WW1 led to WW2, and how WW2 led to the Cold War, and how those wars impacted modern conflicts, you'd understand just how much history has shaped our current world. You'd have a better understanding of how some countries were formed and dissolved, and why some people are fighting to have their voices and stories heard.
Not being open to learning about other the history of your country is how you get old people like the one I posted being so closed minded and acting like it's no big deal.
