Ah yes, the dreaded death count that justifies lockdowns, emotional trauma, child abuse, job loss, experimental gene therapies with no long term data, etc....all for an estimated .2% death rate. (Using 20M the 2019 population)

And a lot of those deaths were due to man made decisions, Dump sent that ship and NYC had the Javits center all set to up, but King Cumho ordered to put sick elderly into nursing homes instead…That hospital ship was barely utilized and many people were barred from seeing their loved ones and they all perished by the thousands.

white house spokes'people' keep saying that all Americans who WANT to leave afghanistan will be able to by august 31 deadline...why on earth would any American NOT want to leave?

these are professional spokespeople who choose words very carefully---they have repeated the term ANY AMERICAN WHO WANTS TO LEAVE multiple times--- :unsure:

That means Americans who have communicated with the embassy and said they want to leave.

It's the State Depts way of avoiding the question about some number of Americans who have not communicated with the state dept, have no way of communicating with them, and are equally trapped and in mortal danger.

There are alot of crazies from both sides thats for sure.

One thing that has really come out is complete utter denial and personal responsibility from the conservative side for the atrocities that have took place in Afghan in recent days.

They led the charge when people like me said fuq no to war, then they bitch and complain when a child molester pulls out 20 years later as if these war mongering baby bombers somehow have the moral highground claiming they made the right call back then that cost the lives of 2,500 of our precious service members, injuring over 20k and who knows how many thousands more committed suicide plus the additional 10s of thousands of innocent Afghan civilians including women and children they all pretend to care about.

Nice job conservativshyts!

Conservatives bitch about cancel culture, but 20 years ago they were the ones canceling people. If you questioned their war decisions, unconstitutional policies such as the patriot act and tried to discuss truth as to why America was hated so much the saying was “your either with us, or your with the terrorists.”

One of my favorite political people was blacklisted off all of mainstream television just for saying “we will never win the Afghan war.” They wrote hit pieces against him, called him anti-American, etc…..

They were crazy times back then.

You dont compare death rate to total population, you compare it to total cases. Because how can someone die of covid who doesnt have it?

If 1000 people use a chemical which has a 90% death rate when you are exposed to it, dont say well that's only 0.000000000001% of the population when deciding whether to restrict the chemicals use. You ask how many of those 1000 people died, and if you find out 900 died then that is cause for concern.

Not to mention you completely neglect rate of hospitalisation and resources consumed to treat covid patients. Overwhelmed hospitals due to covid means less resources for other issues that require hospitalization.

The big problem is is that people do not see this as being their problem - they couldnt care less if hospital beds are taken up or that it means reduced care for others that need it. Until it affects them, of course.

cali rep says he notified white house about a group of students and their parents stranded in afghanistan....but when asked by a reporter if she had any information WH-spokesperson psaki replied...'i certainly don't have any additional information on that. i know, as our sec of state just noted, when he went through a thorough summary of American citizens and our contacts and our focus over the last several days, he gave a update. i am happy to take their information if there is something more detailed to have'.

psaki's response came as a surprise to congressional advocates for the American citizens trapped in kabul.

the cali rep. who represents the district where the students school is located said he notified the white house, the pentagon and the state dept about the plight of the trapped American students and parents.

Japanese drugmaker Takeda Pharmaceutical Co., which is in charge of sales and distribution of the vaccine in the country, said it has yet to see any reports of safety concerns.

The size of foreign substances confirmed in 39 vials is believed to be a few millimeters, with their elements being unknown. Moderna is conducting an investigation into the materials, according to the ministry and Takeda.

I do find it ironic that the people who are the most vocal about saving US lives in Afghanistan are the same people who refuse to save lives in their own country by getting vaccinated or wearing a mask.

If we use the same logic they did, can we not just say "ah well, we saved 98% of them let's just leave the rest behind"?

I mean, it's only 2% right??

So in an extremely densely populated area you don’t think a large % of the population had covid? Is this thing contagious or not? Make up your mind.

Yes over run hospitals are not good. So we should be investing in better facilities if its that bad. Also, where is the national health campaign against obesity? The urge to test for and supplement vit D due to the overwhelming data? Oh wait, those actually strengthen the population and makes them harder to control.

Also care to address the elephant in the room? Yes, I’m referring to all the other long term damages I listed. Or do those inflict too much cognitive dissonance and interfere with you Stockholm syndrome?

And an Italian C-130 leaving Kabul took Machine gun fire (evasive maneuvers made, no damage)

The next few days will be harrowing.

Maybe libs can mail-in some leadership to go along with our mail-in Pres....

There just was a 2nd near the hotel, really sad thats for sure. 3 of our troops were hurt.

I heard there are 2 dozen San Diego students still stuck there as well.
 
So just yesterday I was reading reports (well from the news, lol) that this new group "ISIS-K" was on their way over there to cause chaos.

I thought Groper Joe said terrorist groups are gone from Afghan and that the Taliban has everything in check?

Nice strawman.

Something being contagious doesn't mean the entire population has it or has had it. You know that. Especially since there are people out there doing what is required of them to help stop the spread. But you know that, you're just being facetious.

Hospitals are running short staffed as it is, how will building MORE help? You know you need PEOPLE to run hospitals, so simply building more hospitals doesn't magically create more nurses and doctors etc. This isn't Sim City.

Obesity isn't contagious. That argument is weak. Obesity is a product of the free market and free choice. People choose what they buy, and the market supplies that demand. Obesity is self-produced.

Wait, are you saying you want to spend money testing everyone for Vit D status? Are you going to test everybody weekly or monthly? Who's going to pay for that AND who is going to be willing to test that frequently? You don't seriously consider that to be a good counter argument do you?

The reality is you completely missed the point of the study YOU were referencing.

i seriously doubt biden will be ALLOWED to take questions from the press...the last time biden ATTEMPTED to answer a question the WH HANDLERS cut the power.

'lady's and gentlemen 'THEY' gave me a list here. the first person i was 'INSTRUCTED' to call on was kelly o'donnell from nbc'

i'm actually glad if biden is doing what he is told and not making decisions on his own---but he is the commander in chief-what if he decides to do something stupid, is there anyone who could stop him?
