People will always die. We are mortal, and so something is always going to kill us.
The question is whether it is preventable or treatable.
Heart disease is very much preventable, and for the most part people KNOW this. Obviously body acceptance movements exist, but I like to think of that as more being about thinking about yourself as a beautiful person WHILE still acknowledging that you are at greater risk of dying early due to it. Obviously not everyone in the movement accepts that, but the data is the data and if you are obese, it is an issue.
The difference with covid in comparison to the rest of the list is that it is contagious. The rest are lifestyle diseases that are non-communicable.
They regulate our activies and punish people who do essential things such as running their business do prevent the CCP-Virus from spreading.
Why not have mandatory monthly BMI measurements and ban advertising of junk food and drinking which is psychologically contagious...I know its not a thing but a term I made up but thats what advertising is for. Its to brainwash the masses into giving corporations profits at the expense of consumer health and unnecessarily straining our health care system which in the end fiscally punishes those that do make the effort to take care of themselves.
Why do children have to watch Budweiser commercials when watching the Superbowl?
You dont have to respond to this, this is just a personal vent post
