New goal means a new log and boy is this going to be a doozy. Those who have been following me are well aware of the difficulties I have been facing over the last 2 years following a (still unidentified) injury to my arm. The condition of which has eliminated any ability to pursue bodybuilding in the capacity I once sought. But let’s skip the sob story and get straight to it.

Following a fairly extensive hiatus from heavy PED usage and a lot of ups-and-downs with the condition of my arm, I have reached a point where I can do moderate, accommodated training. Nothing exceptional or exciting, but enough to where I’m comfortable to seek out notable physical improvement and make small pushes in the gym, as well as with the PEDs.

From 2017-2019, I competed at the Venice Beach July 4th Contest in Physique, Classic, and Classic, again; I won the class and classic overall in 2019. The events of 2020 prevented any competitions from being held at Venice Beach, but they have since reopened the event for Labor Day (September 6) this year. After much debate, as well as a little pepping up from my forum friends, I decided to throw my hat into the mix. This time I will once again don my infamous red board shorts and hop into the physique class; if my legs are decent I may try to sneak in with short-shorts despite them not meeting eligibility requirements lol.

Making this venture all the more precarious - aside from my arm wanting to break at the slightest twinge - is the pursuit of the near impossible… growing into the show. Under normal circumstances this is not at all something I would entertain, but given my starting state, previous low drug usage, and Bostin’s insistence that this is absolutely necessary to look even remotely competitive, I’m giving it a whirl. After the last two weeks of refining my diet, PEDs, and training in this effort, I am feeling mildly more confident having seen positive changes in body composition. This week will be the first of starting the program I have setup in its entirety.

Will I win? Not a fucking chance. Will I be able to pull a Levrone and grow-into-the-show? Maybe. Will I be able to finish the prep process without catastrophe? God willing. Am I assuming dire risk in doing all of this? Abso-fucking-lutely. But if I am successful in achieving a sliver of my former physique without injury that will be first place in my book. It’s all I can expect of myself at this point.

In this prep log I will cover Training, Nutrition, Supplements, PEDs, and Daily Schedule. To be more follower friendly, I will update changes to these categories by editing/adding to the OP’s as I go along.

198.6
6’1”

If I can stay around 195-200 with substantial body recomp that would be ideal. Not sure if that is feasible with current limitations though.

I demand royalties!

What role does Epiandro play alongside all the other AAS?
Mostly I have a bunch of it and started it before committing to the show and beginning the full cycle. I enjoy the androgenic DHT feels and strength. Added hardening/drying. And won’t be starting Anavar for a few weeks so figure it can be the oral for the moment.

Awww yisssss.

You got this! Kill it!
Thanks bro :)

UPDATE

Got pictures and fasted weights posted in the OP. The first set is from a month ago. The second set is from this morning. This should give a good reference point for pre-prep progress where I was slowly integrating new workouts, improved nutrition, and PEDs. And then the start of the current full prep program (July 6).

Weight today was lighter than I anticipated but not surprising considering the recent switch to a low carb, moderate fat, and high protein diet.

Arm felt a bit iffy this morning but managed to make it through my upper body workout without an injury. It feels a bit stressed though so I will need to stay mindful.

I will post my training routine soon. Strategically I placed back day on Wednesday and my second leg day on Thursday before repeating upper body on Friday. I’m not yet sure how to incorporate biceps. This is all too apparent in recent pics which highlight how undersized my arms are.

Glad to be following - love the current nutrition/supplement protocols up front and the dated progress shots.

Crazy transformation in the last month already! Big time difference in definition and reduction in bodyfat.

You get to a point where you have to pull that post WO oats & berries out and you will fall right into keto likely.

Excited for you Zoo!

Not gonna lie guys... I think my arm is already fucked. Almost exactly a year to the day as when it happened (again) last summer. If that’s the case I’m not sure what I’ll do. I still can’t even get in to see a physician or specialist. My piss attempt at doing this show was all I had to look forward to. To keep me going.

No way bro! You still have other “projects” going on that you can look forward to. Don’t let it get to you man (my god, the hypocrisy is real right now lol). Drop the weights more or maybe just do some band work instead. That’s all I’m doing at the moment, besides legs, and it’s going great. You can still get in good workouts with just bands.

Ice/rest it up and evaluate it tomorrow after some sleep & time has passed.

I always have to do this with things because they are often better (or worse) than they appear acutely.

Negative! No refunding sh!t dude and you’re not falling off a god damn thing. Take a step back and reevaluate your training. My guess is there’s some pushing of limits and you went a little too far today. It’s just one day, and just one oops. Ya sometimes that’s all it takes, but it’s absolutely no reason to throw in the towel. I get that you want to meet this goal and make it to the show, but maybe it’s a little too soon. Even if you bail on the show, it’s not like you have to stop making progress. Give it a couple days at least. Fvck, take a couple days off training and see how it goes. If it’s not there, it’s not there. Happy thoughts bro, happy thoughts.

Nah bro, you got this! Just ice the **** out of it, double down on the BPC and TB! And if all else fails, hit your legs like three times a week or two to let the arms rest!

Totally agree here too, banded work, TRX, bodyweight all effective. Just need to shift your mindset. I had to do this for quite a while when I injured my shoulder and haven't really looked back. You may need to become creative with exercises/sets/rep schemes, but you can do it. Now put on your big boy pants, and pick yourself up and get after it!

Fasted weight: 199 lbs

Arm is debilitating. Can’t use it to brush my teeth or shave or carry a glass of water. Put 5mg of TB and 500mcg into it last night. Took 2g GABA, 600mg Theanine, 1.5 scoops Sleep, 20mg melatonin. Trained back today lightly. 5 sets harness deadlift 406x5. 5 sets harness rack pulls 315x10. 5 sets reverse hyper. 6 sets of crunches 30 reps. 6 sets lying leg raises 15-20 reps. 5000 steps cardio walking around neighborhood. Will complete another 5-6k throughout the day.

appears not a good time to run a cycle.. perhaps figure out the arm situation. Have you tried hanging? Ido portal is a big proponent of hanging for shoulder health. Rotator cuff, AC joint issues may present as Bicep issues at times. good luck

I’ve been trying for over a year. Physicians don’t give a **** and write me off. I can’t even get an appointment scheduled. I can’t hold a bag of groceries I don’t think I can hold my body.

Even with one working arm you still look better than most training with 2. I feel for you as lifting means so much to me as I know it does you. However, I don’t believe this is how it ends for you. Best of luck !

This just in. Moments ago the gal I dated lasted year who I remained friends with messaged me to let me know she can’t talk to me and has since unfollowed/blocked/whatevers out of respect for her boyfriend. Not a big deal as she lives in Montana but a nice touch of a message to the week lol. Luckily, I do love a fair bit of salt so a little more shouldn’t sting.

That says a lot about the guy she's dating that he's insecure about her talking to a guy states away. But then again, I had a similar situation in the past happen and the guy wound up contacting me bc she didn't stop contacting me and what it really was was that she kept holding how she could leave state and come back to me holding it over his head. Ppl are crazy.

I know it sucks when already having a crappy week and then little stuff like this adds up. Stuff that wouldn't mean much on its own but just has that push you over the edge effect on your week.

Exes are exes for a reason, I’ve learned. Doesn’t make them bad people or anything, and there are usually good reasons why you were friends of course, but life is dynamic and ships inevitably set sail never to return. Same thing even with platonic friends sometimes. Sucks, but that’s just how it goes.

I tell myself that it’s how we make room for new things/people/opportunities in our lives, for what’s next.

If your arm is a nerve issue, if they can figure out the fix sometimes it can all reverse. Brian Shaw said his arm got worse and worse, more & more brutal pain, weakening, shrinkage for like 3 years straight. Then he found a chiro/sports doc who realized he had something in his neck out of alignment that had been pinching the nerve feeding his arm - when they fixed that it all started firing and growing properly again.

He took 2nd at World’s Strongest Man last month, losing first by only 1 point and barely 5 seconds in a single event.

The silly part is that we weren't even all that chatty as of late and we don't go liking each other's stuff a ton either. As long as it's a good guy and he doesn't end up being a controlling jerky I'm cool with it. But yeah the timing I couldn't help but point out.

I'll have to read into his case. Mine seems to be more of a directly related matter considering the initial incident back in August 19. The frustrating part is that I have had a nerve conduction test and they told me all was normal on the results minus the carpal tunnel. Funny considering my arm was wrecked for a few days following the appointment lol. I only hope that it is reversible. This is the part that is most frustrating... not having a definitive answer or course of action to take. All efforts to let it heal on its on with extended off time as well as physical therapy have yielded no real progress. I gain a little ground but it doesn't stay long. For example, I hadn't increased my weights or reps or intensity this week before it hit again.

Dream Post:

Wanted to write this down before I forgot. This was only one aspect of the dream sequences last night, but it was of my dad, again. In this one I found myself at work but did not have my prepped meals with me. Cursing I walked back to my old car to head back home to prepare food for the day only to find the entire back seat full of my weekly meals in the back seat AND the storage in the back of the small SUV full of groceries. My dad knowing how important the show was to me took it upon himself to do it and get me food from Costco.

He often helped with groceries back when I was going to school and working and living between home and my ex's. Even more, many evenings I'd find a fat homemade burger and a diet Jones Soda on my night stand after I got out of the shower. This is after him working 12+ hour days out in the fucking heat of SoCal summer.
