No, I'm being rational. I got COVID. It was mild. I recovered. There is no reason for me to not get coerced into getting a shot. There is no reason I should take something experimental, not fully FDA approved because all the spokes persons say it's a great idea. Before anyone said anything negative about a COVID shot, I made up my own rational mind that it was not for me, and it would only be a negative thing for myself if I did get it.
Don’t you see the irony YOU of flagging up the lack of FDA approval as part of the reason for not accepting the vaccine?
Sorry, I’ve been drawn back into this, can’t help myself. I said I’d leave you to your beliefs, I’m going away now.

for over a year my wife and i were fearful of getting covid---until we got it.

we've had colds that were worse and we are in our 60s!!!

maybe it was because we both got flu shots every year? i wonder if any research has been done on if it hits people harder who weren't getting flu shots prior to the covid?

it amazes me how many of these people who are preaching to get a covid shot weren't getting flu shots?

I have no horse in this race, but I found this article rather annoying. Ohio governor is starting a weekly lottery for vaccinated residents. Winners receive 1 million dollars.

Get the vaccine, don’t get the vaccine…..I honestly don’t give a fvck. But don’t push people either way and don’t start offering bribes 🤦‍♂️
😆😆 This is a prime example of those 'only in America' -moments.. 😄 I'm sorry my US bros, but this is fucken hilarious, if legit 😂

just in the interests of balance, whilst I also know people who had covid and it was no issue, I was married to a respiratory consultant during the pandemic and thus my friend network also has various medical professionals who were directly dealing with covid patients

they absolutely witnessed many people die, some of whom where under 50 and otherwise fit and healthy. Obviously more who were older/higher risk but regardless they were dying directly because of covid.

now that’s only a snap shot from 2 hospitals in the uk so I have no idea if the numbers have been altered nationally/globally or whether it’s no worse than flu would have been etc

but covid itself has killed many people and as a specific virus is very much real.

But my point is, I don’t think whether covid itself is a hoax/not a serious virus can be seriously debated. It exists (where it came from 🤷) and it can cause death, even in healthy adults.

The reaction to it, the vaccines etc absolutely can be argued both ways as this thread shows. I don’t think these things normally become completely clear at any time but at some stage years down the line if it can ever be completely clarified one way or another I’d be Great to look back at this thread and see who called it right 😂

in the 2018-2019 flu season 35 million got sick with flu, 16.5 million went to health care provider for flu, 490,600 were hospitalized and 34,200 died from flu....these are American only statistics not worldwide.

vaccination for influenza began in 1930s with large scale availability in the US beginning in 1945. with this long term use people are aware of long term safety of the flu vaccine, yet in 2018 only 49.2% of Americans aged 6 months and older CHOSE to get the flu vaccination.

If this survey was carried out with the criteria of (for example) over 40s / under 40s, or income above x / income below x rather than vaccinated / not vaccinated, I suspect you would get similar splits. It really means nothing as a stand alone. Especially when you consider (I assume?) that vaccines have been distributed among the older population first?

The flu vaccine has more risk than benefit IMO. I’ve listened to an infection disease Dr who compiles, analyzes, and reports regional data to the CDC present live to a crowd and say “the flu vaccine has 0% efficacy for the last 2 consecutive years.” They guess the strands and miss the mark often. The small risk comes from all the unnatural components in the vaccine. Maybe a small risk, but the risk is more than 0%, this making the risk outweighs the benefit.

I’m not telling you to not get the flu vaccine nor am I offering medical advice.

Pro vaxxers REALLY like to guilt people into getting the vaccine to “help stop the spread to
the vulnerable” but transmissibility wasn’t studied in the trials as far as I know. It’s only to lessen the severity of the disease.

none of the yankees who tested positive had any symptoms, this is very bad since they could be dropping safety precautions thinking they were vaccinated and couldn't catch or spread the disease.

This Dr is brilliant. He breaks down this “pandemic” better than anyone I’ve
heard yet.

Everyone clamoring in fear and getting the vaccine really should listen.

@thebigt he even talks about the flu vaccine and how it’s very well documented that it makes people more prone to having bad corona virus reaction. Fascinating.

the only thing i am convinced of is paying taxes and dying....from my personal experience both my wife and i have gotten the flu shot every year for well a decade and neither of us have had the flu or suffered any side effects--i am 62 and training for a 7k race.

I didn’t plan on taking the vaccine (for Covid) and I have never care for any flue shots, to be honest I really don’t want to inject anything that won’t get me “bigger, stronger and faster” 😉

But, my work have made it mandatory to take the vaccine, it sucks but it is what it is...

How do you guys feel about the vaccine, did anyone already take it, are planning on taking it or definitely won’t take it at all?
yiu know there is a .04% chance of dying from it if you are not obese and super unhealthy.. you have to be a moron to take it

Or a conspiracy theory retard to NOT take it.
I think you are being very closed mined !
i agree, there is no need for name calling for choosing to get or not get vaccinated.

i am against vaccination but that is my choice, if you choose to get vaccinated that is your choice...i relish the fact that we live in a country where people have the freedom to choose, and i truly hope it stays this way!!!

btw-i am a recovering alcoholic and i haven't drank for many years--but if people choose to drink i say more power to you, provided you don't drink and drive!!!!

Whats strange to me is that our community spends so much time reading peer-reviews studies and shutting down others claims' of pharmacological benefits or risks based on the details of the study and the fact that 1 or 2 studies aren't enough evidence to be conclusive. Meanwhile, they don't approach the new vaccine with that same mentality

no, i am proving that the flu vaccine has a long history of safety and yet less than half of Americans each year choose to get it, why?

years ago before i started getting flu shots i got the flu and it was a miserable 10 days before i was feeling better...more recently i got the covid and it wasn't anymore than a very mild cold for 3 days---given the choice i would take covid over the flu.

“A team of over 1,000 lawyers and over 10,000 medical experts led by Dr. Reiner Fuellmich have begun legal proceedings against the CDC, WHO & the Davos Group for crimes against humanity.

Fuellmich and his team present the faulty PCR test and the order for doctors to label any comorbidity death as a Covid death as fraud. The PCR test was never designed to detect pathogens and is 100% faulty at 35 cycles. All the PCR tests overseen by the CDC are set at 37 to 45 cycles. The CDC admits that any tests over 28 cycles are not admissible for a positive reliable result. This alone invalidates over 90% of the alleged covid cases / ”infections” tracked by the use of this faulty test.”

Now the CDC guidelines for counting an infection post vaccine a “vaccine breakthrough infection” PCR testing can’t be more than 28 cycles where were these standards all year long?

They want people scared and making irrational decisions like injecting a rushed gene therapy with zero long term studies to get their freedoms and normal back.

The whole world are taking these various vacccines. Nothing special about America in this case. Yeah no one really knows the long term effects and maybe that is a concern, but most people are prepared to take a gamble on the balance of probability, I know I am. Not because I fear the virus, because I want a return to normal life, for my kids, for everyone. In your individual case (and your wife), you’ve had it and found it to be mild. There’s a case there for not vaccinating, you should have a natural antibody response. I’m pleased you weren’t hit harder, millions of others have not been so lucky.
I see a huge difference between people like yourself, and those who think the vaccine is actually a deliberate attempt to harm the population. A world of difference.
I also see a huge difference between this and flu vaccines. Flu has never bought the worlds economy to its knees. Plus the vaccine is known to be targeted at what they guess will the dominant strain that year. The covid vaccines are hoped to be at least somewhat effective against any and all variants.

i agree with most of what you said with 1 huge exception...the 1918 flu pandemic which killed 200,000 Americans and the american population then was only 103 million--the point i have been trying to make is that we know that the flu shot has a long history and has been proven safe over many decades-thousands die every year from flu and pneumonia and yet less than half of Americans get a flu vaccination-there is no gamble with the flu shot.

maybe the flu won't kill you but i guarantee you will feel like crap...the flu shot has been proven safe-the covid vaccine has not-hell the covid vaccine has not even been proven effective over time and against variants-in your own words you are only HOPING the covid vaccines are somewhat effective against any and all variants.

honestly i would rather be me, a person who has had covid and suffered only mild symptoms than a person who has not had covid and taking their chances with the unproven vaccine....i got my flu shot in 2016,17,18, 19, 20, 21--maybe getting the flu shot is why i only got mild symptoms from the covid.

Still baffled by your obsession with the flu shot... like you wear it like a badge of honor or something. Also, it’s impossible to ever know if it’s done you good or harm.
