i will probably never again have the patriotic feelings toward this country that i had at that age-regardless of anthem--that is why young people are the best for military....i have great respect for the sacrifices black americans have made for this country, and for those who served alongside me--but my allegiance is to this country as a whole, not to one individual ethnic group who only makes up a part of that whole...

Yup I still get the goosebumps from time to time with a live anthem.

I was raised to believe that was OUR song. As in, OUR country!!! OUR meaning everyone in the USA!!!!

Why must we have to bring in another song for a certain race? Any Race? Why not just have the anthem? Catch my drift here?

Just think, before a game there could be 50 different songs played and everyone on the field and in the stands would be up and down. Some kneeling, some standing during the different anthems. Would take about 6 hours for the pre game.

I’m not saying they are not patriotic...I’m saying as is usually the case with young adults...they don’t care about politics. Gun culture and patriotism is alive and well in the military.

i can see where things have changed with the times....back in my day people owned guns but gun ownership wasn't nearly as politicized as it is today.....really glad to hear patriotism is alive and well!!!

As someone who has served both pre 9/11 and GWOT I can tell you to rest easy. Patriotism in the military is stronger than ever. Despite the bull crap stories in the media the new generation of troops are squared away. They are fitter, brighter, better equipped, most of them come in with gun experience and knowledge, and knowing that they are still volunteering despite knowing that deployment is pretty much guaranteed is telling.

many of you might have missed this since i doubt it was heavily covered by main stream media....secretary of army has signed off on national guard units assigned to capitals for inauguration to be armed...this marks the 1st time in my memory that armed national guard has been used against American citizens since kent state---4 dead in ohio, and history shows what a disaster that turned out to be.

My deepest corners of the basement are telling me it was Special Forces inside the Capital that took Nancy Pelosi's wallet and there may be massive arrests and this will be processed through Military Tribunals bypassing the swamp of the government. Id take that with a grain of salt but its coming directly from Dr. Steve Pieczenik who has been right on alot of things over the years and has been in the deep state since the Kissenger days.

Anyways a few more days to go and who knows if Dump has one last surprise and the Capital is loaded with troops right now.
