I feel my cns can’t handle longer workouts with the intensity I end up lifting at.
10 min warm up(cardio/stretching/mobility)
30 min lifting
15-20 min Liss
Not trying to sound like a badass, if anything I’m annoyed I can’t train longer. I’ve started to focus on pre/intra nutrition, breath-work, less intensity and more mind muscle connection to try to extend my workouts.
I dunno always have a massive pump, covered in sweat, and tired. Everyone’s CNS is different tho. Plus with work, side business and family stressors, I feel like anymore is just taking energy from other places I need to put it.
I totally respect all of that and it's part of why I wanted to see what peoples average was. For me, I feel like I can do high intensity, low volume quicker. But if I'm having a volume day or conditioning day it's longer.
When I was doing competitive CrossFit stuff and shredded, yes 2hrs daily minimum. however my strength plateaued for honestly, years. BUT I was lean and happy with that.
When my sessions are shorter, I can go heavier, do less reps, and get far stronger, but I'm not nearly as lean.
I think I can get stronger, do less reps, go far heavier AND get lean, but I'll have to dedicate additional time to LISS cardio which would basically replace metcons, wods, that type of conditioning work.
