Donald Trump running for president

the fix was in from the begiining...brain dead biden and knee pad harris are not my president....RESIST!!!!

Not looking good for Trump. Mail ins continue to be counted. Biden looks like hell take Wisconsin, pa and Michigan.

A shame that counting ballots after polls closed will be called a scam by him lol.

So interesting to see it play out. We are one diverse AF country man thats for sure.

I would have settled for keeping trump if it meant giving the boot to Mitch and Lindsey personally.

PA? Hell last I checked Trump was up like 700k in PA. According to Fox, CBS, and AP maps, it looks like it’ll be 254B-268T before Michigan.

I’ll check again when I get to work

Oh, and it took Michigan 3 weeks after election to declare a winner in 2016.

Dump was right all along about the mail in ballot being trash day 1 and he was right.

At least I can walk around with my Jo Jorgensen shirt today with my head up knowing there still isnt a victor!!! LOL!!

With all the extra time on hands Im a bit surprised how much the media is not discussing the Senate and Congressional races.

This matters so much more than President lol. Looks like house may get 1-2 seats in senate but majorities stay the same.

Something like 1.5m outstanding in pa i read. Biden gets a huge majority of the mail in from what we've seen

I thought the reason we are here in the first place was because its unseen, what the hell did you see that the board of elections didnt? LOL

Really? Most of the mail-in votes are for the liberals? Shocking. :sneaky:

He’s going to need ~1.2M of the 1.5M to win PA. Highly unlikely imo. I think it comes down to Michigan.

See, you and I agree on lots of stuff. This one is really close. Trump looks to be leading in 4 of the 6 states left, and he needs them all.

Indiana was second only to Utah in % of votes for Jo. Even though it was only 2% it’s still good to see.

Jo was 1.4% here in Missouri. Only if a cumulative effect would precede following years we could stop a two party system thought process.

WI, MI & NV = game over?

It'll be nice to have a president that sides with science and really emphasizes the benefit of the basics of masks, hand washing, and social distancing.

Let me remind you guys - if we had a vaccine TOMORROW....it wouldn't matter. There's not enough CHO cells in the world to manufacture the amount of doses we need to inoculate our population. So buckle up because there's no cure around the corner.

The irony is, the fastest way to reopening is to do a hardcore pause. Would it suck? Of course...but it'd be better than this dragged out, war of attrition.

The problem is there are so many snowflakes and that think its their rights being trampled on. Makes it virtually impossible to have a large enough buy-in to make it effective. Such is the price of freedoms and diversity I suppose.

The entanglement of politics and science has been really painful to watch. Reminds me how our education system fails so many so often - a lack of understanding of the basics of how science works. Even just a simple book like The Structure of Scientific Revolutions by Kuhn that explains science proves nothing...it simply supports current paradigms. Until it doesn't. Anomalies are discovered and paradigm shifts occur. That's how it works.

In my undergrad work, if I ever used the word "proven" it was instant points off. It was only ever supports or suggests. It opened my mind up to the fallibility of science but not to the idea of dismissing it like we've seen.

We all exist and operate with an agreement that the theory of gravity is our best model to explain the most amount of events - until we find something better.

Sorry to go off on a rant but to me, despite some of the early shortcomings from our scientists - by and large they guided properly and it was fumbled on its way to the general public. Wish more people were able to see it this way.

It certainly is down from 4 years ago, that 5% number is important.

I think, and this is just my gut but the fear of extreme intrusive big government coming from Groper and that Indian lady led to less people going 3rd. So instead people opted for a little less intrusion.

We are all F'ed either way after this election. We either have the Trump crazies running around strong arming the world or we have the Biden regime to contend with and with it so close neither side is going to concede. Basically 4 more years of hating your neighbor.

Solid post.

America is so much better than what we've been given.. In 2016 and now. Sad stuff.

Personally, I wanted a blow out in either direction so we can all just move on. I don’t think this will end quickly.

As did I. It was important to have to have it lean heavily one way or the other and we got the opposite, most states incredibly close which obviously is what Trump chess matched all along.

I agree with much of what you say, but disagree that Biden is on the side of science by a long shot. He is on the side of pseudo-science and concensus and authoritatove thought.

Whenever I talk to people about this, I am reminded of this guy:

I am sure Trump would have preferred a windfall in his favor over a close call :)

I wonder how the millions of people who lost their jobs and homes as well as of businesses that that shut down bankrupt for life feel about their rights being trampled on?

You have to draw the line somewhere. Depending on who's shoes your in when the solutions are worse than the problem they arent buying in.

And Ill tell ya, once you allow government to step on their Constitutional only authorities, they never let go of it. Its just not worth it.

What makes you say that? He seems like he'd be willing to defer to Fauci and others? Unless you go down the climate change rabbit hole where most conservatives diverge quickly from science.

I'm open to it though, I could see how he's a pseudo-guy tbh lol

I think of it like this - how can people talk about the dangers and harms of guns without ever having fired one themselves? I am not huge into guns but my town has hunting seasons, bow, etc and I realize the more people grow up with it, respect it, know how to use it, etc ... the dangers drop immediately.

Much like science, any semblance of familiarity would open people up to the value it offers, especially in the public health sector.

I wonder how the millions of people who lost their jobs and homes as well as of businesses that that shut down bankrupt for life feel about their rights being trampled on?

Yeah I'd be pissed if I were them too. A president so slow to adopt mask use, social distancing, held rallies throughout the pandemic etc...inadvertently did everything possible to ensure this thing dragged on.

Decided to offer zero federal guidance but was open to taking the credit for the grand reopening.

I'd be fired up if I was them, hell yeah. I agree

Your only going to end up with corrupt big business authoritarian tax scams that do almost nothing to solve anything they pretend to care about and address.

A President so slow? And then you say Groper Joe would have been the one who would follow Fauci's lead?

Wait, LOL It was Fauci in the beginning who told everybody not to wear a mask!

The only guidance that Constitutionally may be enforced under this situation is from State governments.

Dump does get some credit an allowed the Governors to practice their Constitutional powers even though he falsely claimed he can step in whenever he wants.

C'mon man, don't be so transparent. You and BigT would sway it towards Trump no matter how outlandish the allegations were.

I say both sides cheat the elections as much as possible.

And speaking of cheating, I am certain machines can be hacked, yet due to their private propriety they cant be audited.

I don't agree with shutdowns and thought it was a knee jerk reaction based on the little that was known at the time. However, there needs to be a middle ground and if things are kept open, then basic precautions need to be taken. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

I don't disagree, but I highly doubt any democrat would be crying about cheating if they were losing. It's only Trumpers.

Actually, thats not what happened for 4 years, they said the Russians stole it and they still havent let go of that. It is completely opposite of your claim here, lol!

Well I was mistaken as DJT is losing his early a.m. edge. MI gone so there goes any chance of winning. If the Senate holds R then the Republic will stand, if no, then it is Barbaros ad Portas.

Polls are closed and all the votes being counted are dem votes.

I voted via mail because i was scheduled for a 12 hr shift on election day. The ballot clearly stated “if your ballot arrives later than 12 noon on election day, it will not be counted.” Just because they’re just now getting to people’s mail in votes, it doesn’t inherently mean that they’re fraudulent. As long as those ballots were received before 12 noon election day it doesnt matter what candidate the people voted for, man.

If you wanna argue about not being able to confirm who filled the ballot out, fine...argue as much as you want. But saying that because in-person polls are closed that mail-in votes cant be counted anymore either is just plain dumb.

We are supposed to throw pedophiles into wood chippers, not elect them to the White House...

Well i don’t necessarily disagree with that point...

Honestly, I think a lot of people think they are believing in science when they are believing in religion. Global warming is a prime example. The SOLE source of the validity of any idea is experiment. Can you show me any experiment that has been run to test any SPECIFIC hypothesis about global warming that has provided observational evidence that the theory is valid? I am not aiming this at you necessarily, because I don't even know where you fall on it, but I've asked a lot of people who bash anyone who questions global warming and at best have been given studies that use models that were built using models to create information that doesn't exist.

It's a religion at this point. The best argument most people have is, "There is a clear consensus among scientists" and, "You should trust the professionals who do this for a living". But consensus among professionals has never been a very good argument, and the track record is abysmal for this argument.

The consensus used to be that the world was flat and that it was the center of the universe and the sun and everything else rotated around us. The consensus among professionals used to be that doing autopsies before you delivered babies was in no way dangerous and could not possibly be the reason women and babies were dying during child birth and the suggestion of such a thing was the talk of a lunatic who needed to be in a mental institution.

I am not saying that Trump is any great scientist, but as you say - politicians use science as if they understand it when they clearly don't, they are just wielding it as a sword to make people think some outlandish idea is reasonable because it's "science".

As for Trump, I'm not sure how anyone can deny that he acted before ANYONE else in this country and recieved some heavy criticism for it. He tried shutting down flights and protecting this country - in a way that would have been MUCH more effective than masks - and he was called a xenophobe and the top ranking democrat didn't have any other comment or action to take for more than 30 days after that. She didn't even mention the virus for 30 days other than to call him a xenophobe.

And avoiding infected people, given the science we have, is highly likely to be effective. Wearing a mask is somewhat likely to be effective, but there is much less scientific proof of that. It makes sense and it seems responsible and courteous.... but scientific is a stretch.

I don't disagree, but I highly doubt any democrat would be crying about cheating if they were losing. It's only Trumpers.

Hmmmmm, you mean like Al Gore? Or as was mentioned - Hillary and the 4 years of kicking and screaming and fake scandal based on a fake docier?

Can you name another republican who has contested an election count?

Well I was mistaken as DJT is losing his early a.m. edge. MI gone so there goes any chance of winning. If the Senate holds R then the Republic will stand, if no, then it is Barbaros ad Portas.

It's going to be close. 270 - 264 looks like the outcome no matter how you slice it....just who gets the 270 could be close.
