you must have piss poor medical there in NZ to go to mexico for medical treatment, seriously-i got sick in tj but never got sick once in PI.

That cant be your benchmark as to whether universal healthcare works or not. Your doctors created an opioid crisis. Can I blame that on the insurance system?

Also, In NZ your surgeons and Docs dont work for the government. It is a subsidy program. They still run practices.

Complications can happen anywhere. It's a risk with surgery. It's sad when it does happen, but that has no bearing on where they get paid from

In Germany, if you earn less than a certain salary you have health insurance (we also have health insurance here). We also have private practices for those who dont want to wait and have private insurance.

In Germany, your employer pays a 7.5% contribution and you pay 7.5%. That's pretty reasonable.

My VA hospital care is my benchmark for govt ran hospitals. My grandfather dying during a routine in and out procedure showcases the quality of doctors they have.

As for the opioid crisis, the doctors facilitated it. The people are the ones that don’t feel normal unless they are inebriated in some way. People can’t tolerate the feeling of living anymore. They are the ones that created the opioid crisis. Sometimes we have to accept fault for own actions and stop trying to find someone or something to blame.

that is not what the democrats here want, they want to eliminate insurance altogether. my mother has been on medicare for over 15 years and it is a real clusterfuck-that is what democrats want for everyone--they are morons!!!

Isnt Germany an economic shythole with a higher unemployment rate than the US, and thats before the CCP-bug flew in the air?

My in laws are on Medicare. Talk about a shitty selection of doctors. I hate taking them to their appointments.

I disagree, the true concept of health insurance is already gone....its there but not in the proper sense, anyways what the Democraps want is to hand over the insurance companies all the power, money and control and have a monopoly over the whole system. We saw this with Obobo. Just follow the lobby money and I will show you the future.

She passed away sadly. She didnt want chemo and sought alternative and unregulated help in Mexico.

Chemo sounds horrible, and it was so advanced that she was left with very few choices. Chemo wasn't expected to work, so she tried experimental treatment.

Sadly it didn't pan out for her. Only 21 years old.

back in 08 before i lost my job i paid $50 every 2 weeks for the family plan with no deductable and $10 co-pay for doctor visits, medicine was $5. the company paid the rest. after i lost my job the insurance offered me cobra-which was $500 every 2 weeks for same plan.

f'ing obama!!!

We have both insurance based and public based. If you want expedited treatment, go private and use health insurance you pay premiums toward.

If you just want a doc visit, go public. Surgery's and things are also covered by the public system, but there is a waiting list for non-emergency surgery. But you can also go private if you want.
 
Pre Obamadontcare my premium was 360 bucks a month for the family. It had a low deductible. Around 1000 bucks I think. Free generic meds, up to 6 free doc visits. Annual checkups included. It was great. The great Kenyan messiah came in and gave me 1300 a month premiums. 3500 deductibles, 25-50 per visit. And I haven’t had a free prescription since. I still can’t believe I fork out that much money a month for services I really don’t use.

Then until trump came along he would fine me if I refused to purchase said 1300 a month policy.

US went from 3.5% in Feb to 14.7% in April. Germany went from 4.7% in Feb to 5.5% in April.

She was a staff member of mine. Such an awesome person. She turned up one day at work and developed blurry vision. It persisted a few days so she went to an optometrist who looked into her eyes and found a brain tumour the size of a grapefruit.

She had no idea it was there, and by the time it was found it was too advanced. A few months later and she was gone.

I see germany has gotten much better in that department over the decade, thats good. Doesnt tell the full story, but still good.

At least in Germany if you cant afford hot showers, you can get treated when you grow fungus on your back...I mean after all, you paid for the treatment regardless if you need it or not via armed bureaucrat stealing it from the fruits of your labor.

Even before Obama Care was passed, the US government is the largest healthcare provider in the country with Medicare, Medicaid and the VA. But all three of those are so f’ed up there’s no way the country needs to provide universal healthcare. Countries with it don’t get the best service than they would if it was privatized. I don’t want the government saying what will be covered and not covered.

trump has really improved the VA but medicare is a genuine mess...my sister and i had to sell mom's house so we could get her into assisted living. we still have to make up the difference for getting her into a decent place.

what so many people fail to understand is that medicare isn't free, far from it.

Were they Carmel Delights? Some parts of the country call them Samoas. If I start a box of those I’m done....I’ll eat the entire box in one sitting. Saturday has always been a cheat day for me diet wise. Years ago I was working 2nd shift as a patrol officer and bought two boxes of them during my shift. I opened one box on the way home and by the time I got home I was almost done with the second one. The bad thing about that is I only lived 7.5 miles away!

You can say that again! Today’s music is all the same. I’m 47. At least back when I was a kid there was pop, heavy metal and real country music. I also loved listening to my parents music....50’s - 70’s music, as well. There’s some damn good music from those decades.

Yes the VA has improved tremendously under Trump but if the dems get in it will be worse than it was under Obummer.
