lol...'dump' doesn't pass bills only signs them...a whole lot of democrat pork included in those bills-but trump did sign them into law. I think if it weren't an election year trump would have held up on signing those bills, but he was under immense pressure, imo.

Im talking more about tracing....here in NY they are going all in on tracing and quarantining, which I dont know exactly what that entitles to at the moment but I we will have to wait and find out.

I think if a store has a mask policy, good for them. What should be mandatory is that a customer must follow that policy and that a store owner has a right to take action if the policy is violated. But thats my opinion.

I agree, totally ignorant...if they open stores they need to have reasonable restrictions in place, which in my opinion means mandatory masks...I have no problem with locking up people who can't abide this...

Although I think thats a bit extreme its a far better compromise to have this regurgitation of endless full shutdowns. I can see a reasonable week or 2 in order to start to implement emergency regulations for businesses and then you can improve as you go along, but when people dont have money their pre-historic instincts start kicking in place.

if they don't implement mandatory wearing of masks for reopening stores I see a even bigger disaster if they have to reclose stores....that is when he government will really tighten the screws.

Maybe some of them think what I think.....wearing masks may also increase your risk of getting sick. I see people all the time touching it and not washing or fully sanitizing their hands prior to doing so.
And most people dont even wear masks right, your just breaking wind out of the sides. The only protection at least for others is spitting all over the place.
I wear a mask only because I dont like attention in public like I do here.

Go to any healthcare center and they basically are. I was just in an urgent care center today, they mask every patient before they screen them for covid with a symptoms based questionnaire and if you screen positive you go back to your car and get evaluated while a SARS-CoV test runs, if you screen negative or the test results negative youre allowed in the building but are still required to wear a mask. Healthcare providers are all masked. They are following the 6 ft social distancing. When you combine masking with the 6 ft rule (exception: running) the risk of transmission as long as you practice good hand hygiene is essentially nil.
Healthcare “experts” make recommendations. They arent policy makers. The vast majority dont want to be politicians. They provide advice. Its up to the members of the local, state, and fed govt to make and enact the policies based on the advice.

In New York, King Cumho signed an executive order that you have to wear a mask or any covering if you cant keep a social distance anywhere in public but he didnt enforce civil penalties. The King had said people can face civil penalties but only encouraged and allowed the Counties to do so.
In NYC they are giving out $1,000 fines and a potential cop beating, lol

I just want to know why healthcare 'experts' seem to be so far behind the curve on masks?
of course healthcare 'experts' don't make policy, but if they were to recommend something and policy makers didn't act on it, at least they could say they tried!!!

Are you in the rooms where advisors make recommendations to politicians? And like I just outlined, it isnt in healthcare workers/“experts” scope to MANDATE something. Healthcare workers NEVER MANDATE things. They make recommendations. Its up to you what you do with said recommendation. It isnt a cop out at all. Its on policy makers to make mandates and have them enforced. Healthcare workers arent the cops. They arent involved with the cops. Thats the government.

it is well established that general purpose masks won't prevent wearer from getting disease, but they will help prevent spreading of disease...healthcare people have been pushing for people infected by disease to wear masks for over a decade to prevent spreading of diseases. with covid 19 it is very likely that a infected person my not know they are infected and carry on life as normal, wearing a mask would help to prevent these people from spreading disease to those who could possibly die if infected.

They already conpletely trashed and destroyed the US Constutition implementing these policies, how can you destroy whats already been destroyed? It cant be any worst, we are just a minor upgrade from Communist USSR at this point.
Its also established that touching your face can get the disease, and now your highly incentivizing touching your face all the time spreading the disease. It gives an overall false sense of security putting people in higher risk.
Its also established that most people will be fine if they get the disease, so maybe the smarter protocol is to quarantine high risk people....or maybe if your high risk just stay home. Let all the strong people take their own risks and develop herd immunities.

so...forcing people with underlying risks to quarantine is acceptable to you-everyone who is over 60, diabetes, overweight, heart condition, ashma, copd--the list is very long....you are ok with forcing to people to quarantine--how long do you suggest these people be quarantined to their houses, it doesn't look like this is going away anytime soon? how about we tell anyone who has a underlying risk they can't leave their house for 6months-year? how about their constitutional rights?

Well, the better setting is to make suggestions and provide information and let grownups make their own decisions and take their own risks.
If they dont come up with a "vaccine" that really works and is effective and now allow people to get immune perhaps this is going to carry out far, far longer than you think.
If would be significantly cheaper if you want to use the system to give people who need to stay home support to do so, at their own discretion.
You know, this all started because the hospitals were not "prepared" to handle the load, and this now turned into something else.

Its very well known in New York that the experts are recommending it. All I do is read the news, its out there. Maybe its different in Indiana? Then again this is national news for the most part I think.
