Haha. I don’t think I even have a wall big enough to put it on!you get the last one?![]()
Booking a time slot is just dumb and I foresee a lot of issues with that. My idea would be this:
1.) No guests. Only members.
2.) No kids club.
3.) No senior classes.
4.) Actually, NO classes in general.
5.) Just use common sense. Try to stay away from people if possible. Use social distancing. Wipe off equipment after use. If you feel like you're getting sick, stay away from the gym.
Really this is the only way it makes sense. Gym owners need to properly sanitize daily. Gym members need to follow proper protocols.
He made a lot of false and misleading comparisons is what he did...
Agree man...
My Golds is soo dumb (how dumb are they??) that they replaced a broken 60lb EZ Curl bar with a 60lb straight bar....So yeah now there’s a missing EZ curl and 2 straight bars
I see no way of the Golds in my area being able to enforce “gym appointments” I know people that have cancelled their membership and still show up and get a workout in a few nights a week!
They aren’t going to increase the wage$ of front desk employees to ‘police the meatheads’ and they certainly aren’t hiring more employees or a ‘bouncer’ at the door.
In fact lots of Golds are closing permanently:

I go to Gold’s and because they’re a franchise, They plan to reopen the 30th, but like I said, my state is considered rural and my county specifically has had 0 cases
Well, they plan for that. It could always change , but it looks like that’s when so hopefullyInteresting dude...I haven’t heard a re-open date yet.
Yeah, this is rather bizarre. They can keep them quarantined in tight quarters in prison as necessary. It’s prison, and they should have to make their own sacrifices and be less comfortable like the rest of us. I don’t recall patients in nursing homes having options to avoid exposures, or healthcare workers.Really not liking this idea of letting criminals out of prison because of Covid. For one thing, its not like covid exists only in prisons, there is plenty outside the prison too. Letting them out to prevent getting covid is not rational.
And if prisons are a hot bed of covid, another reason not to let anyone out. As if the solution to a cruise ship with hundreds of covid victims is to let some of them loose into the population.
Yesterday was a new record high 2500_ US dead in one day. Florida celebrated by opening beaches again. Yeah???
You should see his diet adviselol , I was being slightly sarcastic but he made some good points tbh

Alternatively, we can take the high risk/violent inmates (COVID positive or not) and pack them on a couple of cruise ships that will dock on the coast of China. They may or may not have the opportunity to escape. That can be our little “oopsie’ and we will just claim we had no idea about any of it![]()

my mom is being quarantined In her assisted living little apt. she is in a home with roughly 75 elderly and high risk seniors. none have been able to leave apt's for several weeks, with no visiting allowed-I am sure they feel like prisoners.Yeah, this is rather bizarre. We are ahead of the UK in terms of those affected in numbers. We're at 739k cases to 114k of yours, granted we have 5x your population total. As you stated you're weeks ahead of us with this so still doing better at flattening the curve.
When we get through this, gym goers are going to be paranoid for quite some time which I think will develop into a healthier gym paranoias over time, so less people will be getting sick needlessly by their carelessness cleansing their area. I can see some benefits when this is over.
I'll just stick with my home gym.
I got in line at the Walmart for its 7am opening to score a big package of quality toilet paper. Felt like a huge accomplishment and victory!
And that quickly turned to more of a surreal sad/pathetic moment when decent toilet paper in America was a cause for celebration...
a whole day with out discussion of this ?? wow you all must be getting tired of the tyranny too.
the media, lol.We got to keep this thread going so I can have the record or “most posts to a thread ever created by a user”! In all honesty I am worn out of debating about this. Have also been trying to watch minimal news since this is all the media talks about.
I think movie theaters are done. Over priced as it was. The future is to purchase and stream new releases at home.
I hate to admit it, but I agree with you....drive ins were cool.Bring back the drive in movie theaters!!!
With a swimming pond for those summer movies. Like Jaws. Ha.
Seriously would be cool.

I remember $5 carload nights...we all piled into a friend's parents stationwagon [9 of us] and went to see enter the dragon with bruce lee...the whole parking lot was full of guys with nung chucks and attempting to do karate moves...it was a great time, even all these years later I still remember, lol.actually heard some places in the uk are looking at doing this as it enforces social distancing by default and would allow them to open earlier![]()

lol...I 100% agree-ralph Macio aint no bruce lee...but I get the semblance.LOL - it does get a little old debating things. But I'm sorry to inform you, that your thread has 38 pages and the longest thread I'm aware of on here is over 600 pages long. Of course, it's almost 5 years old as well. So we all have some debating to do.
Haha - I have a drive-in about 45 minutes away from me. I've never gone, kind of a tourist thing - but I imagine it would be pretty cool.
You reminded me of an interview I saw with Ralph Machio (yeah, I know, he's not Bruce Lee) and they asked him when he started to think that The Karate Kid might be something that actually caught on, and he said the first time he thought it might actually do well was after a screening of the movie - when he left the theater, he saw adults and kids in the parking lot doing the crane kick.
hey just reopend one in Hermiston ORBring back the drive in movie theaters!!!

no reported deaths from flu or pneumonia this year? if this is true it is definitely fishy as hell, imo.ok I will spark one for the Jrock..
Has anyone heard about the antibody testing?? that is showing that the infectablility rate is 80x higher than initially thought, and that if you use the numbers to make new models show this is way less than 1% mortality rate. making all those number rants fall right in line to what the worlds leading scientists were saying from day 1... that this is less to worry about than the FLU././ which btw there have been no reported deaths from the flu this yr.
I also heard that there have been 0 pnemonia deaths this yr either.. weird.
I did hear on the internet.. you know its true nowno reported deaths from flu or pneumonia this year? if this is true it is definitely fishy as hell, imo.
according to the new tests its over 80x as contagious... meaning its not near as deadly as they are making it out to be. also that most people have probably been exposed already. there is someone doing new models on the new data.. i would keep an eye out for that info when it comes to light.Covid is 10x as contagious.
“Less to worry about than the flu?” Does your a** ever get jealous of the s**t that comes out of your moth? Did you parents have any children that lived?ok I will spark one for the Jrock..

The people actually facing this thing, particularly the deployed soldiers and sailors to NYC would beg to differ on all this.according to the new tests its over 80x as contagious... meaning its not near as deadly as they are making it out to be. also that most people have probably been exposed already.
This. NO ONE is saying that MOST people have been exposed. Most means >50%. No one with any credibility is saying this is the case. The guy posting this BS doesn’t bother to check anything for actual validity...The people actually facing this thing, particularly the deployed soldiers and sailors to NYC would beg to differ on all this.
are you saying they are not contracting it? or no one has had it yet?The people actually facing this thing, particularly the deployed soldiers and sailors to NYC would beg to differ on all this.
Soldiers and sailors have now tested positive and are ill. I’m saying the virus is real and it’s a real threat. I’m not into politics. I’m a vet, and I support what the active duty and the Guard are doing down range. Squabbling about whether we’ve all been infected already is disrespectful to the people who are facing this thing literally face to face. It’s really disappointing.are you saying they are not contracting it? or no one has had it yet?
