Hey everyone,

I wanted to make this post just to get some feedback and insight from you all. I am 31 years old (almost 32) and went to my doctor recently just for a routine physical and routine bloodwork. I also asked if he can order me a hormone panel, as over the last year or 2 I feel I've come down with some minor symptoms that "could" be due to some sort of imbalance and just wanted to know where my numbers are at. He was only willing to order total and free test, regardless of asking for estro and some others. Sucks, I know and is not really what I want in a dr. But for right now I took what I can get. My total test came back at 454 on a scale of 265-915 and my free test came in at 13.8 on a reference of 8.8-25. So his discussion with me was that i am in range and no need to have any concerns. I feel that I am at the lower end of the normal range based on the numbers and want to know of these numbers are ok or if it is worth a discussion regarding TRT. I feel many are going to say that TRT is only there to get you back to normal range, and that where my numbers are now are where a TRT dr. Would aim for me to be after treatment.

Really what I'm looking for is some feedback from you guys who are on TRT to tell me what your numbers were before you started and where they are now after being in treatment. Had you had numbers like mine mentioned ed above, would you have ever thought twice about TRT or would you see it as being perfectly within range?

Prior 60ng/dL to TRT. Even the MD was baffled.

Ive been on test for about 16 years now.
My before TRT levels were 360 total and 7 free.
Now my total is 1000 ish 5 days after injection and my free t is exactly the top end number on my labs.
DHT is also right at the top of range.
I feel pretty solid.
I also take prescribed ipamorelin/cjc and my igf1 is just over the top end of normal.

Im 46 and I feel good. Im lean and have significant muscle tissue in spite of not running anything besides TRT for about 9 years now.
454 isnt the worse ive seen but its lower than I would want. You can try clomid therapy and see if you can get it up a bit before trying TRT. TRT is a lifelong commitment so......at 31 maybe try the clomid first.
Clomid sucks, makes me feel like death but it works.

For those who suggest clomid what is the ideal protocol for purposes like this as opposed to being used in PCT

You're probably the first I heard describing clomid like death. I honestly do not feel a thing on clomid and I've ran it as long as 8 weeks.

Where did you get clomid from?

Online and I do test my source. I feel like you're going to say pharma clomid will hit differently.
Nah clomid is clomid. So if you tested it and it was clomid then no worries.
Research chems pose 2 issues in many cases.
1. not the right chem or no chem at all.
2. under or over dosed. Both are bad.

That’s what I hear but I feel great on Clomid.

To OP, I use Clomid 25mg ed for a few months a year, I like Clomid a lot, I might be on TRT later but right now Clomid is doing the job well enough.

Have you had bloodwork done before during and after to show its effect on your numbers?

Yes, I’m naturally in the high 400’s (like you) and after 8 weeks of 25mg Clomid ed I’m in the 900’s, last blood test I did I was 1100.

Is this dr. Prescribed and monitored or do you self source? Can you add a little more detail to your regiment that you stick to? How long on 25mg before changing dose, do you taper down, take breaks? Always ED or do you switch to EOD, am or PM, etc? 25mg ed for 8 weeks sounds strong and like the emotional sides would be raging for most.

I have doctors using euclomiphene instead of clomid. It produces less estrogenic side effects. Often times they may use kissipetin. I no longer suggest AI as I have seen so many issues with neurological issues from long term side effects even when levels are kept in check in serum which often does not equate to total clinical picture. I use other interventions to control estrogen and regulate estrogen metabolism. I am finally starting to see correlation of what I said over a decade ago focus on the gut. After running 20 Gimap plus and seeing the correlations its a no brainier. It’s all a lot controlling the immune system, pro inflammatory cytokines and cell danger response everything else is down stream from that and the triggers in the first place..

Yes, I get it from my Dr, I have a script for the whole year. I do 8 weeks 25mg ed and then another 4 weeks of 25mg eod, I then take a few months off and repeat. I dose in the am. I do not know what emotional sides you’re talking about and you won’t know if you get any either until you try Clomid. To me, Clomid is great.

Have you ever taken your bloodwork during those few months off to see if your levels remain elevated or drop off?

I have read a few articles regarding euclomiphene and its positive comparisons to clomid. Problem is, I dont think I know of any sources that carry euclomiphene.

I haven’t but they will stay elevated for a while and gradually lower, hopefully stop a little higher than before. Diet and lifestyle plays a part as well.

Think about hopping on clomid before hopping on test for life.
^^^^this, for sure. Do anything you can to jump start your natural production before getting on TRT for life. I wish I had exhausted all avenues before TRT.

Knowing what is known now, TRT as well as thyroid meds are way over prescribe. Just like vitamin D, I am working on getting guys off this unnecessary millhouse in younger guys.

Why, what have you come across while on TRT that you wish you had waited?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m perfectly fine being on TRT BUT if I could have my natural production back, not have to pin twice a week, worry about E2, take a handful of supplements such as dhea and preg, go to the dr every year for TRT, then I would have tried everything possible to jump start my natural production and save TRT as a last resort.

^This^

it’s fun to do a cycle because you want too but not as fun when you have to do it, every week, for the rest of your life. I probably will go on trt in the future but I try to hold off as long as I can.
