Hi all! I currently serve at my country's army and I want to get back to my training asap. The thing is apart from the army food, in order to supplement my protein intake, what would be some good choices for food?

I already have whey protein, pb and cans of tuna. What else can I get that I can keep in the barracks?

Diet in the army looks like that:

We have hard boiled eggs every morning so I eat around 6 egg whites and 1 or 2 whole eggs.
For lunch we have 2 to 3 times a week either chicken breast with rice, or with potatoes along with salad, and fruit (we also get ice cream and soda twice a week but I try to refrain from consuming them). We also have vegetables or beef with rice at evenings 2 and pork at weekends.

Beef jerky, sardines, kippered herring, canned chicken breast, canned anything (just watch the salt), pickled eggs, lean summer sausage etc etc etc.

Beef jerky and canned chicken sound pretty good! As for eggs I don't have to i can practically eat as many as I want, cause most guys here don't even touch em, or don't eat more than 1. So I could eat a dozen every morn no problem

Thanks a lot for the help!

I liked canned chicken .. used to just mix it with light mayo back in the days for quick protein

And beef/turkey jerky’s are delicious ,, can get pricey but it’s good stuff imo

P3 portable packs are delicious .. I think it’s like 13g a servings .. I buy em bulk from amazon ( I think it’s peanuts ham jerkey & sun flower )

I wish I could get light mayo as well. It would help with the tuna, but I won't have access to a fridge for the next month cause I'll be staying in the barracks

Meat sticks, nuts, Vienna sausages, protein bars, those 1-2 serving tuna salad packs would be good since you can't keep mayo for just tuna.

Mustard and hot sauce for anything tuna or fish or really anything. You could use those little mayo packets as they keep just fine but they aren't "real" mayo.

Sounds like you got a good bit covered protein powder is probably one of the cheapest and most nutrient dense.

Go to a place that has the packets of mayo out for sandwiches and grab a few extra to keep around. Amazon also sells these

That’s why if can find at a fast food place first it’s an easy win. Also places like 7 11 and other stores like that will have out on the counters.
