Hey guys. So I’m turning 40 on the 22nd and I’ve been out of the gym for almost 5 years now. Couple of divorces and life happened and now I’m finally back together. So here’s my question. I’m currently 5’9” 220lbs and about 27% bf. I would ideally like to set around 195-200. I have a younger training partner who is using T and says I should get on board. I’ve never ran anything before. Below is my meal plan. Should I run T for fat loss and a nice boost? Thanks for your replies!

Monday: P 200g C 120g F 45g
Tuesday: p 200g C 175g F 45g
Wednesday: P 200g C 175g F 45g
Thursday: P 200g C 175g F 45g
Friday P:250 C 350-400g F 35g

Steroids build buscle, there not fat burners. But they do make your food work better and your 40. So why not if your comfortable with it. 400mg for 12 to 16 weeks will make some nice changes. Have some exemestane on hand or even take a small dose like 12.5mg. Eod if you wanna play it safe.

Bout 10 weeks in when you really start seeing changes your probably going to decide to blast and cruise.

You’re probably right. I’m more than likely gonna try it. I’m sure my T levels have gone down some anyway. With the added muscle I’m hoping to see a nice decrease in BF %.

Just don't expect super fast changes. I can't count how many times I see threads where guys are 4 or 5 weeks in saying it's not working. Give it time

I think it would be worth your time and effort to get your T levels checked. I went to the local low T clinic and found out I really did need it. I've been on doses around 160mg of test. cyp for about 6 weeks now and my body comp. has improved a tad. I think it's important not to crash your estrogen by taking meds if they aren't really needed or overdosed. Low estrogen has it's own problems too. While you are there you can also get your thyroid levels checked too.

I would get in the gym natural for at least 6 months before you do anything. You've been out for 5 years so jumping right in with Test is probably not the best idea.

I second this, not because you shouldn’t use anything because I’m not gonna tell a grown man what he should and shouldn’t do.

You’re gonna be sore as hell and since you’ve been off for so long your gains are gonna be really good for a few months. Give your body a bit of time to adapt to the gym again and then throw some stuff at it.

I missed the 5 years off. I would at least get my seccond round of newbie/muscle memory gains before hopping on.
