I am currently swapping between 2 pre workouts.

Hydrapharm Hydrazine
And
Imperial Nutrition Excelsior

Hydrazine profile
Hydrazine blend700mg*
Bauhinia Purpurea Extract (leaf and pod), Cacao Extract (fruit), Caffeine Anhydrous, Cymbidium Goeringii Extract (whole plant), Kigelia Africana Extract (fruit)

Excelsior Profile
Propietary Blend5.3g*
L-Citrulline
Trimethylglycine
Kigelia Africana Extract (fruit)
Caffeine Anhydrous
Bauhinia Purpurea
Bitter Orange Extract (fruit)
Octopamine
Hawthorne Extract (fruit)

Their similar but the odd extra ingredients added to Excelsior

When i take Hydrazine it is a great pre workout but i get anxious and jittery on it at times.

Excelsior has near enough the same effects as Hydrazine but i don't get that overpowering anxiety and jittery feeling.

Why would this be? Just thought the same ingredients roughly would yield similar 'side effects'?

I get a crash from Hydrazine. Mild headache ' Irritable etc. I do crash slightly on Excelsior but it's a lot less than Hydrazine also? Also the excelsior seems to last a lot longer.

Just wondered what the difference would be in these profiles?

Thanks

Could be the type of extracts used. May be same plants, different strength of extract/actives.

This or the amounts.

While it’s got some similarities and both are hidden in prop blends it will be impossible to tell. You can tell the ratios are going to be quite different since

You can tell the ratios are going to be quite different since excelsior has Kigelia first then caffeine then Bauhinia where as hydrazine has them in opposite order in its blend, so at the very least the ratios between them are different .

Yep agreed with the above. Also are you taking them at/around the same time each day that you tried them? For example if you tried on an empty stomach it’s going to be a lot stronger versus taking with food.

Yes i take either supplement fasted (Empty Stomach).

I switch between the 2 and they feel similar in terms of focus ' Mood boost etc but i find that Excelsior has a longer feel. Excelsior also has less of a crash than Hydrazine. Either product isn't a bad crash but just a slump in mood and energy. Hydrazine when it is wearing off gives me a slight headache. Excelsior doesn't.

I have emailed both companys to ask just the caffeine amount and none of the companys will disclose it.

I don't mind prop blends if the product works. I would just like to find the caffeine content though

Agreed. It would be nice to know the exact amount of caffeine. I'm surprised they wouldn't disclose that.

Tried the suppliers direct emails and no response and also tried Predator Nutrition's email who just says 'We don't know but it ia strong'

Seems sketchy tbh

Haha yes that does. I'd vote for getting a different pre if they can't tell you what amount of each ingredient is in the blend.
