The Wake and No Bake was a let down for me. We do no bakes at the station fairly often and this tasted weak in comparison, though the core at least didn't get skimped in mine.

Grabbed the Blue Bell Cookie Cake and it was okay. Definitely wouldn't call it cookie cake and didn't ever taste icing. What I'm guessing was supposed to be chocolate icing tasted like fudge to me (good, but no different from any moose tracks type ice cream) and then you'd get little cookie dough ball bits of cookie that tasted good. It wasn't any different than Blue Bunny's cookie pieces ice creams.

And when I was back in IL, my hometown's Hy-Vee had Coolhaus, so we tried the Midnight Munchies. The ice cream itself tasted like Halotop (that consistency that felt almost like a sorbet), but the mixins were good and insanely packed.

You were doomed from the start. Core's always blow from B&J.. They are so inconsistent.
Blue Bell is low grade .. bases are average at best and mix-ins are hit or miss.
Coolhaus great cookies, ice cream is meh at best.

Had a coupon for Haagen Dazs and Kroger had a pretty slim selection, so I grabbed chocolate peanut butter. Meh. Not bad by any means, but it was just that harder peanut butter almost brittle sheets that were throughout. Taste was good, but just not great. I'll take Graeter's Buckeye over it any time (but for $2, I can't really complain).

Anyone had any of the Enlightened ice creams? The profile is pretty good with a good dose of protein and fairly low on sugar&fat. Movie Night and Chocolate Peanut Butter is my favorites.

Love them. The pb marshmallow and the oatmeal cookie are my personal favorites. Cookie and brownies (doughs) are also awesome

I’ll have to check more out. I wasn’t huge on the marshmallow and pb. I did like the red velvet there’s some with pretty crazy swirls in there.

Yes, the Red Velvet is great! Cookie dough is another one that’s really good, make sure you let the Enlightened ice creams melt a little before you start eating to get the most out of the flavor.

The best is that I can eat 2-3 pints for the same calories as 1 pint of B&J! Also way more protein and still less fat&sugar, that’s a win! :D

Not expensive at all for ice cream. It will be at your house in 1-2 days pending location due to expedited dry ice shipping.

$11+/pint is expensive as hell... plus without being able to schedule an exact day to be shipped to me with my travel schedule (and typically no weekend delivery) its still a huge pain.

You get what you pay for. This isn’t your mass produced grocery Ben and Jerry’s quality we are taking about here. Big difference with a lower overrun and hand made ingredients. No other company offers free shipping year round besides ample hills which is usually the biggest cost when buying. At the end of the day how you want to spend your money is totally up to you.

You can always email customer service and arrange a date during the week for delivering (1-2 business days) I have done it countless times when I travel out of town for work during the week to ensure it doesn’t sit.

Grabbed all 8 current flavors of Rebel yesterday!

Killed 1 pint of cookie dough haha. It was actually really damn good. I was really surprised to see how good the cookie dough pieces tasted despite the whole pint only having 6g net carbs. Pretty good amount of the dough too. Texture straight out of the freezer is pretty poor, but after sitting 20-30 minutes it was like normal slightly melted ice cream.

Also tried a bit of the mint chip. It was pretty good as well but definitely could use a bit of a stronger mint flavor.

We had a pint at our house and I thought it was just ok (think is was a pb/choc flavor?). texture was almost like frozen cool whip which I liked after it softened a bit), but for the price/cals, I think there are better options (at least for me)

For me doing keto I haven’t found anything that comes close on carb count unfortunately. I can definitely see where you’re coming from though, if you don’t mind the carbs/sugar regular ice cream is definitely different.

That said with 6-8g net carbs per pint it was a nice treat on keto. I also thought it was better than many of the “healthy” ice cream brands. I certainly did like it more than halo top

Yeah for keto it’s top tier for sure. I actually really like halo and enlightened personally. Even the newer arctic zero are pretty good (og was awful)

Still haven’t tried enlightened. A small bowl would be fine but man with ice cream I am completely unable to practice portion control haha. I need to check if they have minis
