Donald Trump running for president

wow...that is a nice thought out response. legalizing drugs while increasing punishment for ensuing crimes that are bound to come with legalization is something I can agree with.

the only problem I see is people with 8 dui's still on the street. or the girl here in my town who killed 3 teenagers while drunk driving, they OR'ed her the next day.

I haven't known anybody recently who got busted, but back in the 90s I had friends who got caught DWI while underage and still got their licenses back after a short time. One of them got caught repeatedly and was allowed to keep driving. Especially now and in any semi-major city, if there isn't at least a taxi service, there is Uber and Lyft ready to go. There's just no reason for DUI/DWI to happen, so I am all for harsh, mandatory sentences.

Yep. And you know how many addicts didn’t decide to take getting clean seriously until they were finally sent to jail after several DUIs? Some people need a rock bottom. And people shouldn’t be repeatedly risking the lives of others.

I have been for mandatory sentences for quite some time...unfortunately the biggest opposition is the ABA, lawyers make a fortune off dui cases.

It's always been weird to me that MADD is based out of Dallas (Irving, but same thing) yet I've never seen a city with more billboards for DUI attorneys.

lol...it's a crazy world!!!

in todays world there is 0 excuse to drive drunk.

just read that the populations IQ is increasing by average of 3 points per year-WHERE is this happening, the people here seem to get dumber by the day, lol.

is it possible to have a high IQ and still be stupid?

Yes. Some people can excel in school and have no critical thinking ability, leading them to believe the first thing they hear that supports their beliefs to be true and sufficient support, and then thinking that being firm in their beliefs means not changing their view even when compelling, or even incontrovertible, evidence is presented showing otherwise. Being firm in your convictions is only good when built on a strong foundation. Anything else, if you must call it strength, is the strength of a madman, and not enviable or desirable.

Is there a reason such as jobs where you are for high IQ people to live? It's not a slam on Indiana (that's too easy lol), but if there isn't a reason for them to be there then they're not going to stay or move there.

lol...I call those people democrats:rofl:

seriously, I was thinking more about people who are reasonably intelligent who keep making really bad decisions, like people they hang with or letting less intelligent people influence them to do things they wouldn't on their own.

Democrats and republicans both have plenty of those people. ;)

And emotional intelligence and life decision making is hugely different than IQ. Even street smarts is not IQ.

maybe there is no reason to attract the truly high IQ to Indiana, but you have high IQ, low IQ people everywhere you go-if for no other reason than to have an advantage.

agreed...high IQ is not the singular marker for success in life, imo.

It also has a lot to do with the IQ tests being given and the education people get now compared to the past. If you gave somebody an IQ test in the 1950s, you can't really compare those numbers to now. You can't even really compare year to year. Kids now start seeing the types of questions and puzzles that show up on IQ tests earlier and earlier. Even games on your phone or facebook have IQ test-type questions, so you're sometimes getting prepped for these tests without knowing it and you end up doing better because you know the "trick" to look for. I've never really seen the utility in IQ tests except for people to brag or join groups like Mensa for their own egos. If you have a high IQ and don't do anything with it, it's a useless number.

True. And not every high IQ person wants a high stress job in a major city. I know a lot of extremely intelligent people who prefer to live in the middle of nowhere or in rural towns because that is what makes them happy.

the article I read said that the populations IQ is increasing by 3 points yearly but that scientists are unable to explain this....

I think you just did a great job of explaining it-congrats!!!

lol...I have found peace and serenity in a small town...60,000

I understand small town life isn't for everyone, but I have had enough adventure/excitement in my life for 10 people. in my older years this pace of life is my GREEN ACRES!!!

Lol! Journalists can be lazy and ask one person or just say crap like that to avoid looking it up. There are a lot of reasons why IQs are going up. More of the world is getting introduced to better technology and nutrition. Education is getting better and we understand more about what kids need at earlier ages. To me though the easiest answer would be the test itself. If you take an IQ test, you are almost guaranteed to do better the second time once you understand how the questions work. I always did well on them because I discovered my mom's GAMES magazines and liked doing the puzzles as a kid, especially the logic and code breaking puzzles. That put me at an advantage to somebody who had only had tests based on knowledge and memory before. Now you throw in a person who has been doing those kinds of puzzles on their phone, disguised as a game, since they were like 3 and of course they are going to do better.

That’s why a lot of the studies on nootropics that use tests tend to have familiarization periods for the tests to minimize the odds of improvements being due to becoming more familiar with the test as opposed to from the treatment. You have a great point.

Greenacres Florida?

LOL....I lived in southeast asia for 7 years, I kind of enjoy the winter months for a change from the heat.

I understand that from the outside Indiana may not seem that appealing, but small town Indiana is removed from the problems you see in large cities..believe it or not but blacks and whites get along very well here, better than I saw in larger cities....if you work hard and stay out of mischief your chances of random crime is much less in a smaller city.

plus I was fortunate to find a niche here, and I make a very nice living.

Yep, we did the same thing with animals in behavior experiments. I remember the ACT classes I took back in high school didn't teach us anything about content...it was more about how to beat the system.

kind of nice to take a break from politics...tbh- politics has become boring.

Did you see the Manny Paquio fight?

Oh crap, he is a politician, lol!

manny did alright....broner is a tough out, he doesn't throw much so openings are hard to come by-and broner does have a really good defense. manny gave him lots of angles and got his shots in, but took some counters while doing so...10 years ago broner would have taken a real beating against pacman.

I was impressed by Thurman. after a 2 year layoff he picked a tough opponent, I thought he looked impressive after such a longtime out of the ring. actually I thought Thurman looked a lot better in 1st fight back than lomachenko did, lomachenko took a lot of solid hits he wouldn't have taken before layoff--i'm unsure if lomachenko will be able to regain what he had before.

Wow that Thurman fight had me on the edge of my chair for the first time since Tim Bradley fought Provodnikov....that was the most dramatic round of Thurmans career.

Broner was such as sore loser joke and his corner was completely disappointing. Telling Broner he was winning the fight makes me think he got set up.... his trainer Kevin Cunningham really wanted Broner to lose due to some unkown personal vendetta or got paid off or something. This fight was definitely the lowest point of his boxing career.

yup...Thurman picked a really game opponent for 1st fight coming off injury. I think it will make Thurman better, I don't think he liked getting rocked.

broner rubs me the wrong way...I bet a lot of people feel that way---even those on his payroll!!! broner is the epitomy of the saying 'some people are their own worst enemy'.

So don’t take this video to seriously, but I got a lol out of it.

I found it on the channel of someone who destroyed Vegan Gains, so his channel can’t be all bad.

He takes the one incident and brings the premise into absurdity, but it has some cleverness to it IMO.

I legit read that as “boner rubs me the wrong way.”

Holy crap dont do that...I dont think thats true.

Pence was gonna take over the joint and he creeps me out more than Dump!

I couldn’t find ANYTHING on social media or Google about it lol.

I seriously almost shyt on my new Ikea chair.

First think I did was check CiaNN, they would probably be tipped before the arrest to make sure they are somewhat on the scene.

How long before Roger Stone starts talking? All the others went in strong and then cracked fairly quickly. Although this crazy bastard has a tattoo of Nixon on his back, so he may be different.

He'll crack pretty fast as there has to be a bargaining chip Mueller has called conspiracy to get him to sign a plea deal which is why he wasn't charged with it in the first place. Life in prison... or rat out Junior.

I heard the prosecutors are Clinton hit-men which isnt surprising since they took over the joint during rapist Bill's time.

Looks like they want to get revenge for things like this book: Invalid Link Removed

A Roger Stone book?
Haha. He's a turd that keeps coming out of Trump's mouth.

It looks like Trump is indeed going to drain the swamp.

He is a journalist and author.

Im not a fan of him, I call things the way I see it. He is one of the reasons I stopped listening to infowars most of the time which helped me vent during the Obama years and his own genocides. Infowars became Dump propaganda network. I still listen on occasion fo enjoyment and they have people on there you cant get anywhere else, but its hard to listen to now. Roger is from the Nixon years who is another genocidal maniac just like all the presidents since him.

He's a scumbag. I call things how I see them, and isn't he a part of that swamp that needs draining?
BTW: What did you think of "Get me Roger Stone"?

Trump is a puppet and complete and utter idiot.
The words he says are simply parroting of Stone or others.

If the man had any original thoughts, they most certainly were
those of someone else.

Plot twist:
Schultz (Starbucks')

Something about that dude bugs me.
I get it, he rose from the projects and is self made, but we've seen a businessman's view of politics...
He'd be better than Trump but he is learning to speak out of both sides of his mouth fast if he didn't know already.

He mentioned how free healthcare and education is bad and unaffordable, yet boasted giving his own employees free education. That was a lie. He did give them free educational reimbursement but then the day after the announcement raised prices across the board. We are paying for it. So, in my oppnion, he's another scammer who twists words to suit his end.

If he had to raise prices to pay for “free” college, then he provided evidence that it is unaffordable without somehow generating more money (raising prices for Starbucks or increasing taxes for the government). Unless I’m misunderstanding you and you’re just saying he was a liar/hypocrite, and not making any comments on free college lol.

I didnt see that documentary, just looked up the trailer looks like fun watch but he isnt my cup of tea anyways.

I only support candidates who ferociously support the Bill of Rights and Constitution, want to implement a government so small you can barely see it and have a strict non-foreign interventionist policy. Starbucks dude is not for me.

liberals need to understand that 'free' is nonsense, someone has to pay the bill-either tax payer or consumer, probably both since if they tax business higher it means higher prices.

democrats are attacking this guy because he plans to run as a independent, and steal votes away from democrat nominee.

I get what you're saying, but don't know if I'm willing to write off all business-type approaches. I'd like to see somebody run things like a business that actually make financial sense or somebody that understands what might work for a private business, doesn't always carryover into the political world. Like your example of "free" education. Free education for a country means other people are forced to pay for it against their will. Free education for a company means the cost is either at the expense of the owner or the consumers, but both of those have a choice.
