I think if I go any further with it, we're going to disagree. Iran could have been a far greater ally than the ones we're currently bending over for. You also have to look further back in time to the CIA-assisted coup before the Shah. It was our meddling that lit the fuse on the eventual Islamic revolution. Even if the US kept supporting him, he wouldn't have lasted. Imagine if Iran helped a group here that ousted Trump and put Hillary in power. Just something to consider.

what is interesting[at least to me], is that when I was at great lakes naval training base in jan of 77 there were all these Iranian sailors going thru training there also. this would have been shortly before the fall of the shah.

Wonderful North Chicago lol. Yeah, we were best buds with Iran as long as we thought we had a pawn running the country. The US was even helping them get a nuclear program going. I know you blame Carter, but that revolution was going to happen regardless. The Shah had too many issues and he just wasn't wanted.

yeah, great lakes in jan of 77 was a load of fun, lol...believe it or not but I was once young and impressionable, after voting for carter I left for boot camp. a year or two later the hostage crisis happened, the military at the time was very anti-carter for his handling of the situation and I think this is where I became indoctrinated in my anti-carter'ism--I don't know what the percentage was but it is my belief that Reagan got a huge chunk of the military vote in 80. guess I should probably revisit my views now that I am older but old habits die hard....even though I never thought much of carter as a president, I think he is at least top 10 of most honorable to hold the office-he is a navy man after all...a officer and a gentleman.

I worked at Abbott labs by there and eventually went to grad school right next door to Great Lakes, but that was early 2000's. Carter did his fair share of stuff that I didn't agree with (e.g. meddling with Soviets in Afghanistan) and it's easy for me to look at all of the facts now and be impartial, but I blame Eisenhower for the mess that happened in Iran.

lol...in 77 there was a blizzard...my berthing quarters was 1/4 mile from chow hall, it was cold as hell and that damned wind made it all the worse. the bad part is they were teaching us to march in step to and from chow hall. when it snowed it got packed down and we were trying to learn marching in step on ice...by the time graduation came in march half my company was in casts-the half that made it thru that is. we had our share of momma boys back then too.

Yep, that was one of the worst blizzards in the Chicago area. Luckily I was only 1 at the time.

True, although I have no issue with people defending their own country. It's when people of any religion go and get involved in wars that don't concern them, that I start speaking out. But then that's not a profitable outlook.

lol...when I got out of military I came back to Indiana for 4 months, then got a passport, went to Chicago philippines consulate for visa and left to live in Philippines for next 7 years.


one year it was 92 on Christmas day!!!
 
If there was one thing that was more nightmarish than the President Barry Soetoro era it would be that plastic faced lady being in the role of speaker of the house. Now plastic is in again. I never thought Id come to the point in life Id have casual cravings of jumping off a really deep cliff.

It was never that bad in Texas, but I hate still being able to wear shorts around this time of the year. It just doesn't feel like the Christmas season to me if it's not at least cold.

I'm hoping that they don't play nice. Time for something new...or old, depending on how you look at it. Public guillotine executions gets **** done.
 
Indiana lowered the drunk driving limit from .08 down to .05. too bad it usually takes 3rd offense[or more] before getting jail time...statistically 80 times drunk driving before arrest.



the really is no excuse for driving drunk!!!

I would go with mandatory 800 hours community service. At least we will get something back from irresponsible people rather than blowing 50k taxpayer money a year on prison. How about mandatory Church service when you get a shovel every weekend and be a gravedigger around the country to victims of drunk driving?

community service is a great idea, I would be all for it....let them pick up trash along the streets and roads, maybe even have the effect of preventing them from throwing trash out their car window if they have to pick it up!!!

Although I definitely agree with the conservative beliefts , all politics are mass brainwash and control. Each party is the same and works together to create divide among people. Our elites are all run by evil and work to go against our Lord Heavenly Father and corrupt his people/world.

Some of the SJW, liberal , feminist propaganda really makes me rage , though. Transgenders, toxic masculinity, the lgbt, etc. that is just disgusting and pure evil

I couldn’t find a “... And Justice For All” that fit the avatar size. My favorite Metallica songs are “FADE TO BLACK” and “Harvester of Sorrow” Black album was their sellout album but after that they went to complete ****.

Yeah, enter sandman and nothing else matters are overrated af, but the black still had a few good songs. my friend of misery, through the never and Of wolf and men were all pretty good.

I heard they are remastering Justice For All and cranking up the bass which that Drummer turned the bass down to almost nothing when finishing it. Personally I really love that cold sound to the original album but it would be interesting how it sounds when it comes out. And I agree, Kill em All to Justice with a few Black and then they changed too much for the worse.

Chill with the rage, if you get to know alot of these people personally Id bet you find alot of good people there who just happen to have political differences with you. I share your criticism to a point, but make sure that the rage is directed towards the people successfully dividing us and not the divided. Most gay people are nice just like hetero's and transgenders have a medical psychological condition but most are good people too.

Yes it was his first album with them they are Newsted bass tracks. You will hear the difference, that bass was really way turned down but I wouldnt change the original the way it was.

double CD....covers most of their stuff. at 1st I thought it was crazy to do a live concert of metallica and orchestra, but damn it has become one of my favorites...I bet it was a hellava show---they had the audio cranked so loud they blew up the sound system and had to finish the show with marshal amps stacked on stage like the old days.

IMO, No Leaf Clover is one of Metallica’s best songs ever. It’s criminally underrated
