Choose any muscle group,or all 5 and do a total of 1000 repetition. I have done this several times already,and it’s a feeling out of this world. Also the weight load is not a factor,but keep it at Minimum amount.
 
Did about 473 reps today. I probably would need 3-4hrs and still may not be able to get to 1000

The 1000 reps has to be in one workout -one muscle group, right? Same exercise? Like DB triceps press x1000? Or cable curls x1000?
 
I am in to see how this goes. I just calculated and at 2 seconds up, 2 seconds down and a 1 second pause we are talking 5000 seconds or 83 minutes if actual work. If you do 10 sets of 100 reps with 2 minute breaks that one exercise will take 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Of course you can cut that in half if you are just throwing and dropping weights.

It will certainly be challenging and painful. I amintrigued, just don't know where to fit it in yet.
 
Oh yeah big dog, so 1 muscle group or 5 or whatever? Dont think I could do 1 muscle group, but could give a good run at a full body... ?????

I can’t do all of this in one session, at least properly.

I normally prefer a 6-day push/pull/core+legs spilt, but in bulking season I’m game.

I’m interested to see what you all think.

I gonna attempt this on Monday.... Full body with focus on shoulders and arms. I don't quit until 1001 rep.

I’m taking a week off while on a wedding anniversary trip. But I’m in to try this when I get back home next Saturday!
 
Today is my "1000 rep day". Taking my old gym diary and a pen with me. Planned is a 2 hour full body workout with focus on chest, shoulder and arms in a circuit fashion, ending the workout with legs. Will report back after the torture.
 
Wow this would be pretty intense, probably not even going to attempt it though. Too many little niggles and whatnot already to do anything like this that could really light up some of my overuse injuries.

I will follow along and see how some of the others do with it and if some of the older guys can hold up well without too much issue I might give something a shot.

Well, I fugged up. I did way too much. Had no time to do the math how many sets/reps, so I kept grinding until the gym closed.

Next challenge should be 2000 reps, this one was too easy (not really). I mean, I had cramps going and I was soaked -but if the gym had opened longer, I would have got close to 2000 reps, I guess.

Yea, I figured around 1000 would be your standard training volume. As you know, I sometimes do 50+ sets, coming already close to 750 reps total.
I should have used more weight on some exercises. Anyway, it felt good!

Totally wasn't planned but was feeling good this morning after a day off yesterday from training. Honestly, after the Seated cable rows I was shot. Just grinded through the rest to get the reps. Definitely a good challenge. Next time will plan ahead.
