A woman might not see your interests as important as you see them. She might think you're already in good shape and you're overdoing it. She might not care as much about having a great body herself. It comes down to personal interests not just money. At some point we have to be able to stop and think, am I overdoing this? And if so why? Is it an egoistic thing to give myself confidence? Do I want peoples attention? My wife's attention?
I think many of us struggle with being happy with ourselves even when we're taking shortcuts and look better than the average guy we want more. The easiest way is to have a common interest with the gym and the same drive.
How would you feel if she did the same thing but with something else? Maybe slightly left out?
Just take that in consideration and think what's really important and how you could make it work for both of you. Talk to her and make some planning and ask her how she would like you to be? You don't have to agree with her but it's important to know how she thinks not just, (it costs too much money). Women in my experience tend to say one thing and make you figure out the rest.
So she says it's expensive while the important thing to her is you not giving her enough time because that's not something she wants to tell you. She wants it to come from you realizing that yourself, because then it's not forced.
Just some experience I wanted to share
