Appetite Stimulant?

Hey guys, I am naturally an ectomorphic build with a very very VERY low capacity to eat which as we all know, is the main reason for a successful bulk. So basically I need a supplement that makes me feel like I need to constantly eat, so I can hit my macros/cals. I know people will suggest MK 677 as its more or less oral GHRP 6 but I really don't want use a PED or any natty anabolic like Vector just to get my calories up. I want a dedicated Ghrelin booster or something... You guys know any good product?

Olympus Labs had a product called Or1gin that used Rikun****o - which should increase appetite. I just searched their site, as I haven't followed them as much lately - but it seems they've discontinued Or1gin unless I miss it and maybe came out with a new product called "King Slayer" that has Rikun****o and some interesting ingredients.

Controlled Labs also has an appetite stimulant called Black Hole.

I've never used either product, as I typically have the opposite problem - too much appetite :)

NMDA Antagonists should also increase hunger...but be careful with which ones you look for because something like Agmatine should be fine, but some could potentially have neuro-toxicity issues in theory.

Mono-Sodium Glutamate can be purchased cheaply and added to your food and it is a good appetite stimulant, especially when coupled with some kind of conditioning response.

**Rikunsh1to was *** out as a swear word, nice.

MassMax is one of the most popular supplements on here for appetite increase and weight gain. Tons of logs on it (sponsored and unsponsored) and all reported the same or very similar results.

MassMax XT increases hunger. Users notice this within the first few days.

I ran it for 8 weeks and enjoyed it. Check out my review. I will run it again in the future. Hunger, weight, and strength went up noticeably. That's impressive considering I've been training for over 20 years.

Yes I think Or1gin is discontinued, as I can't see it anywhere. I've looked at Black Hole but the price is too high for a product that has such mixed reviews. I wonder if there is any OTC supplement that can act as a Ghrelin Agonist like GHRP-6 & Mk 677... As they seem to be the strongest at stimulating appetite. I'll look into NMDA antagonists, is that how the drug Cyproheptadine works? I have heard it's great for boosting appetite but it also has its own serious side effects being a pharma drug. What's your opinion on those drugs?

I'm sure MassMax is great for boosting appetite but the price is too high as it's much more of a natty anabolic, which isn't a problem for me right now. I just need way to get excess calories in easily. Thanks though bro

I was not familiar with that drug. Never heard of it. But it seems to be an anti-histamine and a seratonin receptor antagonist. Both of these actions could potentially increase appetite.

Still, I would be wary if the seratonin antagonist effects without supervision.

But the histamine effects are worth noting and you can probably experiment there pretty safely. Do you sleep much?

You mention you can't eat after waking up. Maybe it would be worth taking some diphenhydramine or ketotifen before bed - both are pretty safe in the absence of other drugs/health issues - and if you wake up with more appetite after a few days you may be onto something.

There are also some natural anti-histamines, like bromelain that would be weaker but more suitable for use in the morning because they won't induce sleep.

A good morning trial could be something like agmatine (NMDA antagonist) and bromelain (anti-histamine). I wouldn't expect it to be strong, but maybe enough to give a small push.

If you take a multi, I know Orange triad has some bromelain in it already, not sure how much nor how big a dose you will need, but it's an option.

If you wake up not hunger train some lagging body parts, or hit your accessory work. I garentee after you will be hungry, and then go back for a pm session in which you do your main body part or focused groupings for the day. You'll get two different natural boost to protien synthesis and be inclined to eat more. A win win

I eat calorie dense food. But my appetite is so poor that I can't eat for several hours in the morning... I need help.

Eating big is part of the game and gotta eat big to grow. Can’t rely on supps to help you all year round and once you go off you will shrink back to normal due too not eating again. Try forcing food down and eventually your body will get used to if.

Yes I sleep perfectly. I wake up with a feeling of sickness in my stomach with next to no appetite, so much so that I can almost throw up if I try to eat more than something like a banana, beyond that my appetite picks up and the sickness goes down but I can only manage half of a normal portion. Putting bulking aside, I can struggle to hit maintenance calories and can steadily lose weight over the course of months. I don't know what the cause of the morning queasy feeling can be, but it may be genetic as my whole family (Brother, Dad etc) have no appetite in the morning. I'm pretty sure in the morning Cortisol is at its highest, which will mobilize fat so much that I'm struggling to gain weight & mass. That's just a guess

Okay, I will try an NMDA antagonist with an anti-histamine sure, but I really really need something strong. I feel like MK 677 would be overkill, as well dealing with the bloating and the fact that I training naturally for the moment, but If it's the only option I will. I will look into diphenhydramine and ketotifen for the moment, but is that a good long term solution?

That's a cool idea, but training normally kills my appetite even more. Plus I'm doing a basic bulking program, focusing on full body workouts with compound movements as my focus with no isolation exercises while I gain mass, so I'm not sure if to workouts a day would fit into that well, without sending me into a huge deficit bro

Trust me bro, I know how important eating is in the game as a few years ago I went to around 225 lbs from 170 lbs with nothing but determination when it came to eating. But I figured people use Ghrp 6 to make life easier, I should too

MassMax is great for appetite and helping to eat a lot without feeling full and bloated as people have said. Gentian is also a solid ingredient here; I’ve tried it in Orig1n and Magnitropin and found it helped in both cases.

It would be interesting to try diphenhydramine before you go to sleep. See if you wake up with that same nausea.

Also - do you take any probiotics? Does anyone in your family have a history of gastro-intestinal issues like ulcers, IBD, chrohn's?

Do you eat late at night?

No, I don't take nay probiotics at all.. Would they help to educe feelings of morning sickness or even appetite? My appetite is so poor that I literally finished a medium intensity workout and have no urge to eat even with lean chicken and broccoli in front of me. I do tend to eat late at night, as this is the only time I can eat fully, but even then I will wake up with feelings of sickness and a low appetite. No family history of digestive related illness either.

I may have to purchase MassMax at this point, if the NDMA antagonists aren't strong enough, which as you said is a possibility.

I believe, and the science is still young and not super definitive on this yet, that gut health is an underlying factor in things you would not even expect.

I am no doctor and even if I was, diagnosis over the internet is really not a good idea - but I'm seeing a couple things that I find interesting and I would experiment with.

One is, I wonder if you have a histamine intolerance. There is a lot of stuff on the internet that takes this way overboard and claims it is the cause of all kinds of diseases, but histamine levels that are elevated would certainly kill appetite and cause nausea. You may also notice other allergies too. This is kind of a long-shot guess here, because there's no blood work, etc. - but that's why I'm suggesting to test it with some diphenhydramine before sleep (Benedryl). Worst that happens is you get some deep sleep, but if you wake up and can eat you have an arrow pointing o histamines in that case - and diphenhydramine is a pretty reasonable anti-histamine and a cheap test. I'm sure you have some benedryl or an off brand in your house already maybe.

But gut health could contribute to a histamine intolerance, and it would also more directly contribute to an inability to efficiently digest and absorb food. This would obviously make gaining weight difficult because even if you were eating - if you can't digest it and use it, you could eat a cow and not gain weight. And if you're eating late at night, having trouble digesting and then going to sleep - that undigested food will sit there and your stomach will still be full when you wake up - and your struggling stomach will send signs of an issue to your brain (nausea) that, "Hey, I'm not ready - whatever you do, don't eat".

I'm not surprised you have a lower appetite after exercise. Heat has been shown in studies to reduce appetite through TRPV1 activation in the hypothalmus...which actually triggers another question - what is your body temperature typically like when you wake up, and later in the day when you are able to eat?

Again, this is really tough because there are probably a dozen or two dozen issues that could contribute to appetite issues, and I'm just kind of zeroing in on some based on what I'm seeing on here and trying to think of angles that might be missed to try to give you some ideas for testing patterns and making adjustments.

I am going to make a product recommendation for general health but before i do I want you to know I am friends with the owner of this company and he pays me to manage some small retailer accounts for him - but I certainly don't do it for the money. Evomuse Gut Health is a great probiotic that I use every night and I am sure many on here will agree is a top quality probiotic. A bottle will last 2 months, including the loading phase, for under $30. Just a thought - I know it can be tough to spend $30 on something new.

And one last thought - there's recent research into obesity that shows that eating a mix of carbohydrate and fats together actually induces over-feeding. I think many obese people like me would agree with this finding - especially when the carbs are sugary carb sources. Maybe you can use that to your advantage to induce over-eating to some extent.

Finally, going back to basics - what is your diet like to begin with? What strategies are you using? What macros are you shooting for? What and when do you eat?

After OP says one supp is too expensive, people post supps that are similar in price.

Make your own weight gainer with protein powder, whole milk, oatmeal, peanut butter, etc. Liquid shouldn't be that hard to take down.

I remember a supp called engorge which was supposed to do that.

is it the atractylodes lancea rhizome that improves appetite I assume? Is this the same as rikkunshito? Noticed OL KingSlayer had atractylodes lancea rhizome then changed to rikkunshito
