TRT at 30 (and new to AM forum)

Hello all this is my newbie post half to say hi and half asking advice.

30yr old 180lbs, 5’11”. Have always been active, currently go to gym 5-6 days a week, no less than 3 days if lifting and 2 days of light cardio (45ish min on whatever cardio machine i am in the mood for that day)

1 and a half weeks ago, got my T level checked at a wellness checkup came in at a total of 271, a 2nd test a week later came back at 320. Was advised by Dr. that all other levels are perfect, and gave me the choice to start trt.

Being that the last few years i have always been tired throughout the day no matter the amount if sleep i got, meaningless things annoy me much more than they should and i am very irritable of late and i seem to not lose weight at all past a certain point, i decided to give it a try.

Dr. Currently has me on 200mg Test Cyp. Every other week. And plans to have a blood draw just prior to my 3rd injection to see where things are and tweak dose/frequency then. My first injection was 2 days ago on Wed. March 21st. I am just learning about everything since Monday, i have been searching the forum for info, most of my searches result in information that i can not keep up with, though i did see the consensus of it is best to inject 1-2x per week.

Are there any concerns i should have besides asking to change injections to weekly ? Should i get copies of all my blood-work even though i have no idea what most of it means? Would my body composition be improved from this treatment? (That would be a bonus, I primarily just want to have mental/emotional/drive restored)

Thanks for any and all advice or criticism of my ignorance, gotta start somewhere lol, perhaps one day if i learn enough i may partake in the other forums AM has to offer.

I just got my second injection. My doctor prescribed me a dose of Test cyp. 300mg
Biweekly but I’ve decided to split the dose and inject weekly- he was ok with that. Excited to see what changes will come. After my first injection I’ve just noticed a subtle difference- sleeping better, night sweats are gone, little better mood but by the time I hit the 2 week mark I was feeling low again.

Give it some time. Much of your first changes listed was most likely euphoric and placebo very little to do with the shots themselves. By week 4 you should notice more of the actual test impact.

Thanks for the feedback. I did wonder if just placebo, it wasn’t night and day after the first injection as some people had led me to think.

Definitely not brother especially with c ester. P ester would be in the first week but C is designed for a longer half life and more stable for people on blast and cruise or TRT.

The reason you were feeling low is two week injections suck. It’s old medicine. The longest you should wait is a week. Every three and a half days is even better. When you end up splitting your dose you’ll feel good everyday!

What is the cause of your low test levels? I would not jump on trt at 30 years old with no more info than you supplied. Dr. is uneducated/lazy.

Sorry for late reply, have been very busy.

No idea what you are asking for honestly. From everything i have read thus far is that it just happens. From my understanding if you get consecutive results showing low with all other levels normal, that is all that is necessary.

What could cause it to be that low and the specific bloodwork to check all of the hormone levels thyroid etc wouldn’t show it? Poor diet and exercise is not a factor in mine being low.
