Day 79

Did cardio this morning but no gym. Did 5 days at the gym this week, so it was a good one.

Have a chilleee weekend.

Back when I was a fat guy, chilli and Fritos Scoops was my favorite meal. No spoon, just used the Scoops to eat the chilli.

I for one don't miss SHIZZ about being the fattest guy in most any room......
I just knew I'd feel like warmed over crappie after stuffing my pie hole....

Day 82

About 40min cardio early am

Today was a gathering of anyone who wanted to get out of the 100degree heat evidently....a line for everything at the gym. Made it work somehow....but no pecdec, which is my 2nd fave chest machine...

Did
Hammer decline
Hammer close grip incline
Wide grip straight chest machine
Close grip straight chest machine
Cable flyes

About 5x10 everything.....
Too hot to eat.....double whey shake with coconut oil will have to do....

Good workout, considering. I finally accepted the fact that between work schedule and crazy amount of people at my gym on National Chest Day, Monday would just be an off day for me. It's lowered my stress level a considerable amount.

I usually know more or less what I'm in for, but today was a mad house! Usually I can avoid the crowds by changing my timing schedule, but lately it hasn't helped. Oh well- as you young folk say - it is what it is....
And it's still the best gym for miles....

My gym is so expensive, its always empty. Don't like the price -but it is 3 blocks away from home.
 
Mine is cheap and 3 blocks away it just needs some more equipment. It gets me by and I guess the convenience is the only reason I go. Just not a super motivating gym.
SFreed likes them cheap -and around the block, with good equipment too.

;)
 
Day 83

About 35 min cardio in the morning

It hit 105° today, so it was a real drag along day. Did not enjoy any time spent outside. The upside is that I have zero appetite. I could barely get a protein shake down. Maybe I'll eat something later on...still have to go work a job....

Did some back and biceps today. Lighter but higher rep and really pushing rom.

BB bent rows...3 different grips
Hammer preacherz...2 hands and 1 hand
DB curlz...elbowz pulled back
Iso curl machine

Heading out....still 93° but no humidity

Just cardio today....luckily....this heat just takes all my energy...
Either way, back in the gym tomorrow....hopefully some delts n tris

45min of manic cardio intervals this morning.

The day off yesterday was well needed evidently....today I got to really slam some weights and then pump out some lighter stuff. Weights felt really good and under control....maybe I need a day off more often....;)

Did
Seated delt bb press..heavier weights....5x10 backsies, 5x10 frontsies
Then dropped down to lighter weights for another 10x10 frontsies

DB delt press...5x10....hadn't done these in a while so I kept these lighter, but kept it slooow and pushed the rom

Tri oh ext...7x10
V bar tri press down...7x10

And that was enough.

Gonna make myself some good food ....haven't had a solid meal in a few....just have to figure out what....

The day off yesterday was well needed evidently....today I got to really slam some weights and then pump out some lighter stuff. Weights felt really good and under control....maybe I need a day off more often....;)

Did
Seated delt bb press..heavier weights....5x10 backsies, 5x10 frontsies
Then dropped down to lighter weights for another 10x10 frontsies

DB delt press...5x10....hadn't done these in a while so I kept these lighter, but kept it slooow and pushed the rom

Tri oh ext...7x10
V bar tri press down...7x10

And that was enough.

Gonna make myself some good food ....haven't had a solid meal in a few....just have to figure out what....

First off, I love going to the gym....it's pure therapy for my insanities! 2nd of all, I sorta know my limitations by now, so I generally avoid anything which will make me feel shizzy. 3rd off, I love the look on people's faces when they see the old guy doing what they wish they could.....etc, etc, etc

I have to change my mindset, I guess. You are right! What does it matter if I do today only 8 pull ups -instead of 12?
I'm 50 and doing pull ups with 215lbs BW -eat that! Motherfuggers!

More manic IT cardio this morning

Had a solid gym session today - but just to make hairygrandpa happy, I'll whine a little. Here goes. These are the strains I'm working around: right delt, left knee, left glute and hammy, left elbow.
Life is good. I make it to the gym anyway!

Back to it. Did some back and forearms.
Cable pull downs - repped out on the stack. That's always fun!
Pullups...full hang...
Straight arm press downs...ending with a super burnout drop set
Machine lower back extensions...sets of 50
Rope hammer curlz n some other forearm fun.

Just finished a 7 egg and coconut oil spicy omlette....it's all good.

Day 89
About 40min cardio this morning.

Took a rehab day at the gym today. Really needed. Did big exercises, super light, full and slow rom.
Upper and lower.
Did kettlebell bench press and delt press.
Squats
Sumo and straight leg dedz
All slow, super light, super careful, hi rep

Really wore myself out, but it feels like it's gonna feel good.

Gonna eat some weekend grilled leftovers...

I'd say the best appetite suppression I've had in a long time. About 16-18 lbs of fat down in 3 months...which is great for me at this stage.
Definitely some feel goods.

That is great! thats a lot of fat! all that hard work and diet paying off.
If I could lose 16 lbs of fat I would be ecstatic!

Day 90

Did about 30min cardio this morning

Did a high rep full body workout today...recovery style. Hit all my muscle groups more or less

Cable flyes and delt presses
Romanians and bent rows
DB curlz and tri extensions
Pull downs

Will be putting up my final review later on...no surprises.... I'm a fan! Details later...

I just saw some pics from 5 years ago....I actually shuddered.....just gotta keep on working...
 
Final thoughts (for now)

This is definitely a go to product!
The appetite supression is off the charts - definitely more in line with some stimmed up old school stuff - but with out the stim issues or old school sides. I'm a guy that really likes to eat but some days I had to force the cals in!

There's a very chilled out mellowing effect that kicks in after a few weeks, which is very pleasant and very helpful when having to deal with stuff - whatever that stuff may be.

I definitely would use this again on a cut, or maybe even for maintenance for a while.

Thanks to Vein Nutrition for having me run this log - it really came through for me!
