My Myostatin Blocking Stack

I am very into reducing myostatin. One thing I did notice on myostatin inhibition is that it does stress the tendons, so I use a good joint formula with it. Right now I am on epicatechin, myo-x and 6-keto-progesterone for blocking myostatin and I take creatine (just switched to HCL) and I am adding in HMB which looks good on paper.

Has anyone else had good success stories on myostatin blocking? I find that it lasts about 60 days before your body seems to start fighting back BUT I have seen some permanent changes in physique, especially my calves and biceps and forarms which have become far more vascular than ever before (lean and more muscular).

I wrote an article on it:

You can order the stack on amazon since MM doesn't sell most of these things.

Lots of info on Myostatin blocking in other threads related to -(-)epi and the products/mfgs that sell it and claim that benefit.

Correct me if I'm wrong -but I read that inhibiting Myostatin only works before one becomes an adult, after that its useless.
I'm to lazy to find the relevant studies.

Edit: Can't find the source for my assertion, Discard.

No, that's not the case from anything I've read. Myostatin is a circulating signaling molecule throughout life.

Myostatin inhibitors as therapies for muscle wasting associated with cancer and other disorders
Rosamund C. Smith a and Boris K. Lin b

This review summarizes recent progress in the development of myostatin inhibitors for the treatment of muscle wasting disorders. It also focuses on findings in myostatin biology that may have implications for the development of antimyostatin therapies.

Recent findings

There has been progress in evaluating antimyostatin therapies in animal models of muscle wasting disorders. Some programs have progressed into clinical development with initial results showing positive impact on muscle volume.

In normal mice myostatin deficiency results in enlarged muscles with increased total force but decreased specific force (total force/total mass). An increase in myofibrillar protein synthesis without concomitant satellite cell proliferation and fusion leads to muscle hypertrophy with unchanged myonuclear number. A specific force reduction is not observed when atrophied muscle, the predominant therapeutic target of myostatin inhibitor therapy, is made myostatindeficient.

Myostatin has been shown to be expressed by a number of tumor cell lines in mice and man.

Summary

Myostatin inhibition remains a promising therapeutic strategy for a range of muscle wasting disorders.

Yeah, but Green Tea and Chocolate ain't gonna cut it. Pfizer can't figure out yet, but SwellVol Labs Super-Myo Xtreem 12,000 will work - riiiiiiiiiiight :D

Well, I think it's something as part of a overall program, but yes there is no magic bullet here. I did find it was useful and I did see a difference, but agreed, it's not going to make you look like that bull in all the ads.

Also, so much depends on the person...
