Hi Everyone

This might sound like a silly question but i just need someone help me clear it as its bugging and don't know where to ask.

Basically I got a Meal plan from Nutritionist some while ago my daily intake of calories is 2870 calories

285grams of protein

80grams of fat

253grams of carbs

the question is do I weigh the Protein, Fat and Carbs on a scale or do I look on the nutrition facts and take from there?

example: Kingsmill Thins on the nutrition facts it says 16g of carbohydrates per serving but if i scale it is 41g so which one do i go with?

sorry might be a silly question its just i don't know.

41g will be the total weight of the thin so you count 16.3g of carbs, 4.2g protein and 1.2g fats all this equals ~93 calories which is slightly less than the 99kcals stated on the pack and yes I eat them!!

So if I wanted 32grams of carbs I would have 2 thins right ?

Have you downloaded and app like MyFitnessPal as this will take a lot of the guesswork out of the equation

How much do you weigh? That amount of protein seems too high.

Note MFP doesn't always have the correct macros in terms of them adding up but it is close enough

I was thinking that things didn’t really add up.

Is there any other apps for daily Protein, fats and carbs like a chart or something calculator

I only use MFP, what I have done for things that don't quite add up is to go online and look for generic things that do add up and then add the item to foods (or recipes) and use that instead
