Party Marty's Workout Log

The hike was awesome. The backpack is everything I wanted it to be. Haha.

I weighed in today. My weight rampled up a bit last week when I wasn't able to work out but now I'm back down near my low for the year and am posed to burst through. I think my lower calories are starting to take effect.

9/18/2017 250.3 lbs, 30.6% BF

9/11/2017: 249.5 lbs, 31.1% BF

Back Day! The Burner got me sweating and I had a nice session. The cardio feels like it hits so much harder on this stuff too. I'm loving my workouts on this stuff, and this is while on keto, mind you.

I worked out in the apartment gym for arm day today. Nice pump, a lot of sweat. The difference in heat and sweat that Burner brings is very noticeable. I'm loving it. I took my socks after the gym and holy moly, I could have slid across a tile floor barefoot. Haha.

I kept it simple today. It was chest day and I felt pretty sluggish going into the gym. That changed pretty quickly and I actually left the gym buzzing. I was hot and sweaty before I even started cardio and was buzzing by the end.

Today was a shoulder day. I sweated like crazy. I actually sat in the LA Fitness locker room on a bench afterward and sweat was dripping off of my nose. I seriously have to give Forged Burner credit. It might be the best stim-based thermo you've never heard of. Now, my wife and I are going to Frederick, MD to walk around. We hiked last weekend and there were hundreds of wild berry plants about to ripen. It's going to look insane. We are going to swing by the base of the trail to see if they ripened. No hike because my wife got a blister on her foot and it hasn't healed.

I got the TETON Sports Explorer 4000.

I carried one of these for 10 years. Well it changed a bit over the years, but you get my point. Lol

You probably wouldn't believe how much they get for those things at a surplus store. Freaking unbelievable.

I can go get one for $40 here, right outside Detroit where I sold all my Army gear I didnt want to keep. I had 2 of these the old OD Green one and this one in the pic. I only kept my old radio ruck for my gym bag. Lol. Granted I got $40 for both and they sell for $40 a piece. Lol. Not many hiking trails here in Southeast Michigan. Lol

I've never been in one of those stores. The thought never crossed my mind. Whoops! If there is a next time, I'll keep that in mind!

It was leg day today. I got my sweat on like crazy and had an all-around good day in the gym. I walked around with my wife after and now we're about to do our weekly shopping trip. Fun, fun. I just tell myself it is steady state cardio! Official weigh-in tomorrow and I feel good about it!

WEIGH IN DAY!

9/25/2017 247.3 lbs, 30.1% BF

9/18/2017 250.3 lbs, 30.6% BF

My keto diet mixed with Forged Burner has been insane. This is the last week of my log as I'm running out of the Burner and I am currently 7.4 lbs and 1.6% BF down (according to my scale). I was already on my keto diet for a month when I started taking the Burner so none of those losses was simply water weight. Today was a back day and it rocked. I sweated my ass off like usual.

Today is my last day on my Forged Burner log. It has been an incredible run. I will be doing my final weigh-in and the posting of my results, in terms of weight loss and BF% loss, tomorrow. I will post my results here too. I have really enjoyed this stuff. I also am ending my keto diet tonight at midnight, so I will be posting the final results of my 2-month keto diet as well. Tomorrow's post in here will be pretty long, I suppose! I intend to jump into a carb cycling routine taken from a Thib article on T-Nation on Monday. I will still be cutting. For the rest of the week, I will be transitioning back into eating carbs and then will cap the weekend off with a couple nice carb-filled cheat meals. I haven't had more than 20 grams of net carbs in more than 2 months now. I need pizza. :o

I will be logging ALR Humapro soon. I always thought it was just an amino acid drink, but the buzz about it was too big to pass up. I will gladly take it for a run and see how it does with my intermittent fasting.

Today was an arm day and I sweated so much. Thanks, Forged Burner.

Also, I accepted a tentative offer with CDC. I don't know when this will go into effect and they can't give me a time frame yet, but the clock is officially ticking. My time in Maryland is on its last months and my wife and I will be moving to the Atlanta, GA area (probably Lawrenceville) to stay. We intend to raise our kids there and live the rest of our lives there. Big news for us, but until I receive the official start date, I will not pay it any more mind. We will just try to enjoy everything we can in Maryland and Washington, DC knowing it's coming to an end for us.

This video has been cracking me up all week.

As I end my keto diet and Forged Burner log, I have a couple weight results to post.

First, the overall results of my 2-month keto diet:

Then, the results of the 4-week stretch that I was on Forged Burner:

Obviously during that first month, there was a good amount of water weight lost as the BF% didn't move much. I am very happy with my results. The left is 7/24/2017 and the right is today, 9/28/2017.

Now I am going into a carb cycling cutting routine. I am using a Thib article on it from T-Nation.

My carb days are going to be:
Monday - Moderate
Tuesday - Moderate
Wednesday - Low
Thursday - High
Friday - Low
Saturday - High
Sunday - Low

I will see how it goes and if I don't like it, I will transition into something else. I will be cutting for the foreseeable future, but a bulk is on the horizon. A big bulk! :D

It still feels weird eating carbs but I'm enjoying it! Today I did a leg day before walking around DC. My leg day felt good and I noticed a pretty big difference with the inclusion of carbs.

Cable Leg Press Machine 100x1x20, 130x1x20, 160x1x20, 190x1x20

Then Jennifer and I went to the National Museum of American History in DC and got our learning on. After that, we went to DBGB DC and ate some expensive French Food and had a crazy dessert called Baked Alaska that they lit on fire at our table. Noice.

Haha. She has to bat way above average to make up for my ugly mug!

It's Sunday, which means chore day, but I did hit the gym for back action... some backtion if you will...

Forget I said that.

I'm loving working out with carbs, It's a whole new experience. I had been on keto for so long. I forgot what pumps and energy in the gym felt like! My weight actually hasn't ballooned upward from the waterweight yet. Tomorrow's weigh-in won't show my actual weight with the water weight. I'm looking forward to putting it on so that I can tell what my diet is doing.

Particulary strong on the bent over row, nice numbers!

Both you guys are just stupid strong. I'm just lucky I've got my good looks and sense of humor.

I'm just big. Being a big oaf makes you naturally stronger. Haha. HG here is the monster. That makes me not funny AND not strong. 0-2!

Weigh-In Day

10/02/2017 253.0 lbs, 29.4% BF

9/25/2017 248.0 lbs, 29.5% BF

My weigh-in day was Thursday last week because I finished by Burner Log and my keto diet on that day. I still am putting on water weight from starting carbs back up. C'mon, body Get to your normal weight again so I can figure out what this diet is doing!

Today was a shoulder day. It felt awesome. Great pump. I added the Predator GDA back into the diet and currently am putting the overwhelming majority of my carbs 30 minutes before my workout (and taking one Predator) and after my workout (where I take none). I have read that some people advocate taking a GDA post workout if the carbs are high enough. That makes me think about possibly doing it on my high carb days, but until my weight levels out from the water, I'm not making any changes. I got my sweat on, though, and it was a nice day in the gym.

I did not pay attention... your current weight is 253lbs ?
Wow. I mean..that is heavy. No wonder you were doing some serious lifts.
Looking sort of lean in the pictures.

I'll be back on here when my Humapro log ends. It's dark and creepy in here now...

I'm back! ...but it's a rest day... so yeah... False alarm...

Alright. Back in here and the ball is rolling. Chest Day today. It felt great. My C&P Permaswole and Cannibal Ferox came in today, but after my workout so I didn't get to take them yet. I opened a tub of Ultimate Orange, so I will probably keep rolling with that for now, but I will be using Permaswole soon in conjunction with it.

Today was a doozy. Started with a leg day, took my car to get a tire replaces, and then finished with a 2-hour hike with the wife at the Rachel Carson Extended Loop. It was a moderate difficulty trail with no real scenic views, minus a river, but it was still nice and relaxing.
