we need someone more grounded than either party has to offer...I hate to bring religion into this, but the world is ripe for the prophesied antichrist.

Just to follow up on this so we're clear. The examples you're giving like Hillary calling Trump voters deplorables isn't the same as the alt-right description. Alt-right is a term defined by somebody who is alt-right (Richard Spencer) and embraced by many who identify as alt-right. Deplorables is a term giving to another group to insult them.

Agree with the first part entirely, not so much with the second, but isn't is also said that no one will know when the end times are upon us, if you personally believe the end times to actually be a thing? I ask this because isn't the Antichrist supposed to be here around those times? Forgive me if I'm missing something, I'm admittedly not the most well-versed in Revelations. The way I see it, we see so much hate and division on the news and in the media today, but are things really worse than ever? I'd say no, we are just so hyper-aware of everything, world-wide, not just in our backyard. We've gone through countless wars, two World Wars, more slavery than what exists today, the Crusades, etc. Just my opinion of course.

I could get into this, but I really dont like to bring this up on the forum because the attacks will surely come and its pointless to me here.

I will say never in the history has there been the type of militarization that there is today and also technology. That's what makes this point in time particularly dangerous. A lot of unstable people with access to red buttons. And also personally I think the world as a whole has definitely declined morally, but then again I've only been around since the 70 s. I know there has never been senseless acts of terror like there are today spreading throughout the world. Senseless to kill women and children and civilians for no apparent reason. That's terrorism

(If you do want to look into something interesting though, look up the spirit of lawlessness and the lawless one in the bible) that's all I will say about that as I don't really want to get into religion

Self governance w/ small government so small you can barely see it with its primary role only protecting our freedoms and liberties via a Constitutional Republic. There is more to it, but Im a big fan of the original Bill of Rights and Constitution although its not perfect, nothing is or ever will be. Utopia cannot exist.

I appreciate not wanting to turn this theological, as that always seems to rile people up, but I wouldn't say that the world has really declined morally. It's all in the way you look at it though I suppose. Yeah, popular culture isn't exactly "moral," but was the more widespread slavery moral? Witch hunts? Public executions? The Crusades (which were or course not actually supported by the teachings of Christ, but a perversion of the Bible by those in power)? Perhaps we have declined morally from the 70s to now, but perhaps this sort of thing is cyclical in nature? Yes, organized religion isn't as big now as it was in, say, Medieval times, but I'd argue that's not exactly a bad thing, as much of "Medieval Christianity" has little to no true Biblical basis, and lead to a lot of death and suffering. There are many differing opinions of course, and I don't claim to have THE answer, only what I currently believe.

for many people perception IS reality....if people are more aware of things being bad doesn't that make things worse than if they were less aware-at least for them?

Yeah well actually the templar knights were a big part of the crusades, and they definitely started to pursue things that didn't line up with the bible. Then the templar knights are also thought to be responsible for the birth of free masons which is actually what many of the founding fathers of this country were apart of. Look up how many us presidents were known free masons. This country was actually built upon a lot of that stuff which is also interesting in reference to the bible...

That is a good question, and I feel the answer depends on the context of the question. If we are talking about for how we as individuals feel, then yes, I suppose it does. If we are talking about being as objective as possible, perhaps as historians for future generations, or predicting future events, I do not know. It may be a double-edged sword though; on one hand, it may make us unhappy to hear these things, but on the other, it may give us the opportunity to do more to help, even if we do not always end up helping. But if reality is truly only perception, then why do we not do all in our power to change our perception? Isn't that all we truly can control anyway?

Wonder how much the rest of the world feels and is aware that the election was completely stolen from Bernie by the DNC and special interests with their rigged "Super Delegate" system that completely undermines what Democratic voters want. Its shocking how many people are still aligned with that party.

Its just going to be an endless cycle of this false left right paradigm taking turns saving this county while changing absolutely nothing other than what they both aim for which is primarily nothing different. Next a Demican will save this country, you know it....either in 3 or 7 years, and they will be Dumps 3rd term without the twitter.

on the other hand if people perceive things to be truly bad they could turn to hopelessness and despair, and just plain not give a damn...I saw a poll where 37% of americans think this country is 'going to hell in a handbasket' exact words.

there might be some truth to this...I thought for sure al gore would beat gw....then it looked like Hillary was a sure bet....it's like leapfrog...it is debatable rather trump gets a 2nd term, but bet the house if he does it will be a democrat after.

That is also true. Will we see the bad and try to fix it, or will we sink further down in despair? I don't know, but I hope for the former and not the latter.

The media makes it easy to forget the massive turnout Dump got just a year ago, the same people who claimed he lost the election for months up until the final minutes but it does make an interesting discussion if he will win a 2nd. They voted for Dump for some of the same reasons the media claimed nobody would vote for him for, and the same claims now that the country turned on him.

And an Uber progressive at that. This country seems to go from 8 years 1 party then 8 years another. Additionally we are getting more extreme each turn.

Although in many areas trump is still the same democrat he was 10 years ago. It’s the perception that he is some white supremicist monster

Lol...well you aleady know who I voted for. Gayry isnt running next election unless he changes his mind which is both a good thing and bad. Good because he really lacked charisma, bad because who will take his place? Should be Rand Paul but he is either trying to destroy the system from the inside out or a part of it.

It wouldn't surprise me. At the end of the day, it's mostly just a false sense of duality IMO. The left and right are a lot more similar than people on either side want to admit. It's similar actions with different justifications to the public. Both sides support increased government control and influence. They may have some different ideas on what to do with this increased power, but they both want more of it.

They all support Keynesian economics, illegal NSA spying, warrantless arrests and assassinations, what county to destroy and blow up, secret courts, useless war on drugs, socialist policies (SS, Medicare, Federal education among many other things but I can compromise on some of this stuff) militarization of our police, Global Government (that includes Dump,) corrupt lobby system, financial big banker bailout systems, useless war on terror, etc................................................................................................................................................No real change just lets blow up Iraq, no lets blow up Syria, no lets blow up DPRK...etc...ROFL!

They are all the same wolf hiding in different skins.

Just like the Patriot Act under Bush and the NSA spying under Obama. They had different justifications and narratives, but they're the same basic actions/principles at the end of the day.

Add to the fact that Obama campaigned against warrantless spying and also ending the Patriot act yes flip flopped right away and kept extending all these policies and even beefing them up along with big monster government to new levels unseen before in the history of all of space and time. Even aliens dont wanna come here anymore.

Exactly how we felt in our house. We walk down the line, believing in both democratic and republican stances. We are liberal socially, but make good money, so I see both sides. However, we could not stand Hillary or Trump and it was a crappy situation because while Trump is absolutely nauseating, frustrating, and childish, Hillary probably would have been terrible in her own way.

What do you mean by self governance? Also yea I also believe in small governments but specifically pan nationalism.
 
I'm heading out now, we have a big conference at Mandalay Bay this week and have a lot of employees already there. They are obviously very shook up, so I'm joining them. Many of them went to that show so I cannot imagine what is in their minds. I've called all of them and everyone is safe, so that is positive.

glad to hear your people are all ok!!!

unfortunately I seem to be doing a lot of praying lately....
 
The footage of the Las Vegas shooting is surreal, and incredibly tragic that one person decided to affect the lives, of not only those killed, wounded or present at the attack, but the families of everyone involved.

It takes someone incredibly self centered, and spiteful to cause so much untold mental and physical harm.

My thoughts are with everyone impacted by the nights events, and truly hope for peace in a country so terribly impacted by riots, shootings and horrible weather.

Hope all is well, its easy for me to say sitting comfortably here but all just need to be strong, go over what happened and mourn the victims and move on and grow from this.

For all the flak the police cop in the US, there are still honourable men and women on the front lines. It's awesome to see them take charge.

I understand it's the over breeding of cows but that would be a economic issue. There still needs to be a demand of cows in order to diminish regulate the population of cows, but the protection of cows(as of now)on their end would keep them alive to breed and fart away our ecosystem imo.

They're bred for milk and food. If the demand slows, farmers stop breeding them.
 
Have you guys looked more into the Vegas shooting? I saw some footage of gunfire from the 4th floor, not the 32nd, and there are some other things that make you think "hmm...."
Apparently when this was occurring all of the concert exits were blocked off. All the attendees were stuck in the kill zone with nowhere to go.
Also when the concert began there were two people escorted from the venue because they were making people uncomfortable with how they were telling everyone that "they were all going to die here."

Another somewhat related note, it drives me crazy that some people along the political spectrum are using this incident as reason to get rid of the 2nd amendment, crack down on the NRA, etc... not to mention the scumbag media employees who have said they don't feel bad about the victims because they were likely republicans.
