No clue what they all actually do. Honestly couldn't say I've ever sat down to watch a football game unless it was on at somebody else's home and I was visiting for Thanksgiving and just happened to be in the room. I was simply clarifying what their motivation for protesting is :)

I would think for the most part there is no difference between what these NFL players are supporting and most of the mainstream society supports, which is no real change imo, just more of the same.

I guess where Kapernick gets at least some credit, being that he didnt vote at all at least he didnt vote for a Demican or Republicrat ROFL!!

The core message isn't new, but I also have enjoyed seeing the hypocrisy online all week. A lot of people seem to want mandatory standing for a song with lyrics "land of the free" lol. I understand why people get upset that this involves the flag and the national anthem, but it's never been about the flag. It's protesting support for a nation that continually fails them. The national anthem is purely symbolic and an opportunity to get people talking. And most of the people upset are upset because they're bored and facebook told them to be upset. They'll be upset about something new next week that probably involves a Kardashian or something equally useless. And that's ignoring that those same people don't get upset that some drunk **** in face paint is screaming during the anthem while wearing American flag shorts or standing at in the concessions line or in the men's room pissing into a trough.

personally as a small business owner I benefit greatly...10 percentage points off taxes and 100 percent write off on new equipment bought for 5 years!!!

this would allow me to hire 2 new employees, give raises and buy a whole lot of new equipment-I've really been wanting a dump truck and wood chipper--a ton of money involved in fallen tree removal!!!

But really what you say isnt wrong...there is ALOT of anger from both sides where as I feel this anger both statues and flag is created out of nothing and making into something. Everybody is just becoming crazy an distracted by total bullshyt from both sides as government is having their way why they are laughing all the way to the banks and power grabs. All this anger isnt getting us anywhere only falling us behind.

I just woke up and have to see what you guys are talking about, but I have leaned my lesson in the past.

The thing I know is, nothing released now matters until they vote on the final bill, one change or two can change everything. Then "deals" get done such as in the final seconds lets throw in mandatory tracking devices into all humans for national security reasons to get that extra vote or two we need and now we have a nice tax plan :)

I get caught up in that too a little bit, but Im not going to these places screaming at people and getting involved with riots. Its just not worth it to me. If I had to do that, it would only be in real emergency defense of my country, but if my people arent there for the right reason I am out!

seriously, if it were just the flag and football was not involved there wouldn't be much outcry, imo.


hell I see the flag being burned everytime there is a protest and it hardly gets mentioned!!!

I think its more so messing with and dividing society in general. Being that its involved with football it just an attention magnet since its rating are high.

You have to look at the budgets the US government contracts with the NFL and various team owners...follow the money. The Military Industrial Complex invests billions of dollars (of our stolen tax dollars) to promote their war machines, false patriotism and global wars in the NFL so they can keep grabbing more of our tax dollars, recruit youth and most importantly majority public approval. The US Government runs and controls propaganda and Roger GoodihopeyouFell in the NFL.

They understand how the mind works and how to manipulate it as well to their advantage. Same thing the UN will report if KimJongBigBum beheads 1 American people will foam at the mouth and they will even show you the photos, but if the UN drops a bomb on a North Korean village tomorrow and 1,000 innocent people are slaughtered we probably will barely hear about it unless you look for it in fine print in the NYT's on mage 99 or something. In the end they get PRS, Problem, Reaction and Solution = more wars and more money.

it is not being paranoid when people are really out to get you...the military is necessary, there really are people[countries/organizations]who would like to see us wiped off the planet, we need a strong military to protect us from those that would do us harm....but who is going to protect us from ourselves? we are becoming our own worst enemy, it is the enemy from within that I fear most.

Here are a couple of quick examples when I googled....and the big slap in the face is most people think all these team owners and the NFL are doing this out of respect to our troops and vets simply out of goodwill, NO they are being used and manipulated by the US government and MIComplex for you know what.

The the moral of the story is, the players didnt make the NFL political, its already political run by the US governments propaganda and war machine.

US Defense Department paid 14 NFL teams $5.4M to honor soldiers

The money has been allocated for things like showing soldiers on screen at games, which has been justified as a recruitment tool.

The only people I really know interested in out to get us are those are all those terrorists the US government armed and trained from the 70's up to now with ISIS.

Our military is the most powerful by far in the globe and I like that, its not going anywhere other than this country is 20 trillion dollars broke so if we dont do anything about that we cant keep up the status quo so we will have to change things to address that including significantly cutting "defense" spending. Nobody here is anti-military and anti-defense.

Our problem is terrorism, we need to figure out whats causing it (Well I think I already know :)) and change what hasnt been working for us. We can keep a powerful military and terrorism is just fought with old fashioned police work and 2nd Amendment. Thats just a crime and tactic that can be dealt with.

There is no country interested in starting a war with us. The only country stealing our freedoms and liberties is the US, lol

No matter what...I always get the chills when at Yankee Stadium at every game they announce a WWII vet at the game before God Bless America...and I’m hoping this is an organizational choice but regardless those dudes are quickly disappearing from us and every time I see one either at the game or occasionally in real life i stare!

I just found out that the players didnt even start standing up or even being at the sidelines at all for the National Anthem until the "Defense" department started paying the NFL to demand the players do so in 2009. Before that they could stay in the back and take a crap or make a phone call, or they can be out there if they wanted as well. Nobody told them to do so until the US government purchased their stake to run the NFL's propaganda and image.

It's all propaganda. It's insane to me that in grade school we had to get up each day and pledge allegiance to a flag and then go learn about the USSR and how horrible propaganda was. They're the same thing!

I think it’s just television making it appear that way for the most part...I’m aware of these issues and the DoEducation needs to be abolished it’s designed to brainwash all our children into minions of the state....but at the same time I don’t really see much of anti-Americanism in the real world. I go to a sports game both pro and local and 99%+ of the people are showing respect to the flag for example.

Well we all have our opinion, when people don't respect anything and promote lawlessness in the name of toleration and change their not actually promoting change nor being tolerant. This country is being torn down the middle and the principles that it has long stood for are being challenged by a people who don't even know what they stand for. They only know what they are against.

I can't even imagine what this country will look like in 20 years if things keep going in this way.... I guess like Rome and all the rest great empires sooner or later your number comes up and the great dynasty crumbles.

The issue isn't the critical analysis, it's the democracy. A majority shouldn't dictate rule, only one should if he is to get to the top accordingly, not through nepotism or cronyism. Blind allegiance is foolish but many blindly align themselves with "free thinking" ideas that don't work with reality, these people should not have the power to dictate rule. They aren't entitled to anything. If everyone blindly align themselves with their nation at least their society would be stable, depending on the rule of law.

If people stand for purely ideas and not their nation they live for nothing but ideas. If people can't understand reality, war, and all things horrible yet necessary with reality they should not have any word in the rule of law.
